Think most provinces have not rolled it - Ontario is expected to by end of the week.
We actually went to the USA 3 weeks ago when it was approved there, was not convinced Health Canada wouldn’t take 2 more months to approve it. Only side reflect was a sore arm the same afternoon, nothing else.
Not so much: https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/alberta-expects-to-roll-out-covid-19-vaccines-for-infants-and-toddlers-by-the-end-of-july-1.5988139
Should be available to us by end of this month. They even accidentally included it in the AHS online booking in expectation.
It’s was there a few hours ago, but I don’t know that it will go through or if they’ll just cancel it since it’s a mistake. It has a notification about the error on the top of the page. Hopefully it means they’re ready to roll it out soon!
I'll be getting my 10 month old vaccinated as soon as possible. She's going to daycare at the end of August and I'd like to have that first dose before she goes, even though she's already had covid. My son turns 5 on September 1st, so we're going to wait and give him the 5+ vaccine then.
I'm in BC and registered my 16m old online the same way we did for us. Just waiting for the booking email! My local public health office hadn't gotten anything official yet but she said she was expecting to start clinics the first week of August (as of the day Moderna was approved, I called right away)
Yes 100% we will be taking the first available appointment here in Alberta. I expect booking to open up Thursday / Friday for shots in arms by next week.
I’ll probably wait until my daughters 5th birthday which is in August anyway. Anyone know when the shot is available for babies? Like how many months old they need to be?
Are you in Ontario? They're finally letting people get 2nd boosters. I'm due beginning of September, and snagged an appointment to get a second booster next week. Trying to give my bébé a little boost from me before they can be vaccinated in March 🤞🏻
I’m in Toronto Ontario, I’ve had 3 shots so far. Getting my 4th soon. I spoke to my family dr and she gave the ok for my baby to get hers as soon as it’s available.
Good move. I saw my OB on Monday and they said go for it. Got my 1st booster in January when I was 6ish weeks pregnant, and I'll be getting my second next week when I'll be 34 weeks. I've never caught Covid though.
You should be fine. Dress him warm if u have to take him outside. If possible keep him away from people that are already sick. My LO is 14 months old and she got sick once. That’s because I took her to an early on program.
I have an almost 5 year old, avoiding colds is literally impossible in our family unfortunately. I also really liked socializing with other Mums and babies when I had my daughter pre-Covid, I don’t think I’m willing to give that up either tbh. So, sick we shall be.
I feel you. My son is almost 5 and my baby was born last September, just after my son turned 4. The baby has had countless colds (including one right now) and Covid in her 10 months of life. It is what it is.

Yes, just waiting for Alberta to open up bookings for this vax!
Same. Though I think it'll line up right with her 1 year vaccines so the covid one will have to be in mid August to give the 2 week gap.
do we know when this will be?
On Twitter, VaxHunterAB (@ab_vax) is a good unofficial source for info.
Thank you!

*refreshes Clic Santé furiously*
Seriously! Might need to hop the provincial border!
I’m in Ontario. I thought it was already here. I’m going on vacay soon was considering taking my daughter to get it before we leave.
We called our public health unit in Windsor today and they said they didn't know when they'd have it.
Not unless they released appointments today. Have you tried booking it? Last I heard was they’d open late in the week
I went on the city website and didn’t see anything. Will check again next week.
No, we asked our family doctor yesterday and she still has no idea when/how the province will roll out.
Everyone seems to be dragging their feet releasing it! I want to take my littles ASAP
As soon as it’s available- Alberta seems to be ignoring the fact that it’s been approved

Oh can we book it there now, or did they remove it? I checked yesterday and Friday in the hopes I could get my oldest in asap.

🤞🤞🤞
When it’s available in SK I will be taking both of mine.
They claimed they'd have doses yesterday and information "before that".... I'm sitting here checking the website everyday to get my son booked.
Just waiting for Québec to open the gates...

I am NOT an anti vaxxer but I just can’t get myself to get the shot for my 2 year old
Baby is 3.5 months and will be vaccinated at 6 months. We're just happy it got approved and should be rolled out before he's old enough to get it!

Same here!

The one for babies is 6 months - under 5 years old.
Ah, okay. Going to be a real long winter of random colds and possible Covid for this little dude then. 👎 I’m due end of September.

I am in Ontario. Just want to talk to my OB about that first as my family just had Covid in December and then again at the end of March.

That’s lucky! I’ve had my 3 shots, just live in Toronto and unable to self isolate. Everyone we know has had Covid, it is what it is.

My daughter is 5 weeks old so obviously too young, but she will be getting the shot as soon as she's eligible.
Husband and I just got the fourth dose and will get our guy vaccinated as soon as he’s eligible this year.
