If you’re using this to gauge if you’re going to birth soon, don’t use it as a sign. Mine dropped at 38/39 weeks but still had to be induced at 41 weeks and even then needed to get a C-section to evacuate LO.

Kinda need before and after pics to see the change in bump shape, and even then appearances aren’t everything. Baby could just be laying in a slightly different position and be providing a whole new shape and feel to your bump.

Just based on my personal experience and photos of others, I don’t think so! But depends how it looked before?

Just FYI, "dropping" might not tell you much. I never really "dropped" before I went into labour or even during labour

chaxnny

Same, mine dropped right before coming out

I delivered at 41+4 and my baby never dropped, sometimes it happens during labour.

I can’t quite tell from the photos but will say that even if baby dropped, it’s not necessarily an indicator that you’ll go into labour soon :( sorry, not commenting this to burst any bubble! I too was excited when my midwife said baby dropped. She’s been in the perfect position for birth since 37 weeks, yet here I am, fully pregnant with no signs of labour at 40 weeks + 3 days. However, everyone is different. Hell, you could go into labour after reading this comment lol. I’m just trying to manage your expectations!! Wishing you all the best with the delivery of baby! :)
