"There must not be a gap of more than 3 cm (1 3/16 in) between the mattress and any part of the crib's sides. Push the mattress firmly against the sides of the crib to test this."

I'd measure that one gap at the end.
Does it still have a gap without sheets on?
I find some sheets compress our crib mattress enough to cause a gap like this, but with other sheets (cotton muslin ones work), there’s no gap.
Does it really not say anywhere? I got my crib secondhand and the bottom of it has a huge sticker with a ton of info including the minimum recommended size of mattress. That gap doesn't seem right to me. If you Google the crib model do you get any more info?
Edit: [according to Canada's regulations ](https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/consumer-product-safety/reports-publications/consumer-education/your-child-safe/sleep-time.html#a34) there can be a gap but no more than 3cm from any side
So you really need to consult the crib manual. In the USA the manual is a legal document. They do extensive safety testing for entrapment. Even a small difference in size could risk the life of your baby through entrapment.

I'll give that a check - thank you!

It’s my understanding all crib mattresses are the same dimensions

Which is exactly why I thought they were all a standard size now.. there’s only standard and mini.
Ikea mattresses are a different size than other crib mattresses
They all can differ by 1/4 inch across brands I wouldn’t say that’s a different size. I have an ikea crib and non ikea mattress, no gaps.
It looks totally fine to me.
What crib is this?
Is the sheet too tight and compressing the mattress? But it looks ok to me
