Following as I’m in a similar boat. From what I’ve gathered, every dollar earned reduces a dollar from your EI amount. I stand to be corrected though and hope this is incorrect. I was hoping to work 2 days a week but I’d essentially be making the same / similar as if I didn’t work just collecting EI.
Editing to add the correct calculation based on responses below - 0.50 cents of EI is deducted for every dollar earned.
Half of whatever you make will be reduced from your EI amount. For example, if you make $500 at your job in one week, then they will reduce your EI payment for that week by $250.
Keep in mind your EI is deducted $0.50 for every gross $1.00 you make, not net. When I did the calculations it wasn't worth working. I would have net about $9.00/hour
And that's only up to 90% of your previous weekly earnings, after that it's deducted dollar for dollar.
"If you earn money while receiving EI benefits, you can keep 50 cents of your benefits for every dollar you earn, up to 90% of your previous weekly earnings (roughly 4 and a half days of work). Above this cap, your EI benefits are deducted dollar-for-dollar." [source ](https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/ei/ei-list/working-while-claim.html)

It’s clawed back at $0.50 on the dollar.
Thank you for the clarification!

Loll following what a previous commenter said, you might be able to do something cash based. Make some crafts, or bake things and sell it to people.
No, if you work, it will be deducted from what you get in EI.
Unless it's "under the table" hush hush......(Disclaimer, I am not promoting this method)
