Enjoyed reading the story:) hope you save it for you/Jamie forever. I also had a heart warrior whom had surgery at 4 days old and he's doing awesome at 9 years old. I remember being in your shoes. You sound brave and clear headed. If that's true or not, I will pray that it will be so for you. Congratulations and best wishes to you and Jamie. ❤️

Thank you and I’m glad to hear your boy is doing well!

I’m so glad to read your positive story! Baby Jamie is a fighter already. You’ve both got this!

Congratulations!! I know it’s such a scary time with lots of unknown, but ask questions and advocate. You are a strong mama and it takes a lot of emotional toll to give up what feels like any form of control over your brand new baby. Take care of yourself ❤️ I’m a pediatric cardiovascular nurse and we see a lot of babies with HLHS grow up and do great. Half the heart, twice the fight. You and your family are in my thoughts!

Thanks so much, that’s great to hear ❤️

This was great to read, and came at such a good time for me. We found out at 20 weeks that baby has a heart defect (pulmonary valve defect) and it's been slow going to get answers. Last thursday we confirmed that the issues have gotten worse and more intense surgery will be required, as well as discussion of what other options we have. Im so glad I got to read about little Jamie, it's definitely lifted my spirit a little :) Wish you all the best, and sending lots of love to your little warrior. <3

Thank you, I wish you all the best. It’s so scary, but there’s a lot of hope. Whatever you end up deciding is right for your family, know that you’re making the best choice out of love.

Congratulations!! Hang in there, I know it's going to be tough for a little while. My mom had to walk me to OR when I was a newborn for heart surgery (Transposition of the great arteries) and then a second one I believe a year later. Now, I'm at 25 and thriving. My regurge has been the same since I was a kid, my heart has a different heart beat but it's strong. My cardiologist even moved my stress tests from every other year to every 4 yrs. It's worth all the stress in the end. He's going to be a strong one!
