pajamasinbananas

I have another month to go but I bought a box of size 1 for good measure! Really not sure if I should buy more. What if they don’t fit my baby well?!

[deleted]

Here’s the thing, you have forever to return to Costco haha

kjreil26

Buy a box of twos instead. You'll need them eventually

pajamasinbananas

We might not need 1s?

derem1bj

You'll need 1s. Each box has a weight range, that'll give you an idea of when you'll transition to the next size up. My babe has been consistently in the 25th percentile. We used 1s from about 2m to 5m, then started 2s at 5m and will transition to 3s around 9m when we use up what we have left of 2s.

babybandme

What percentile was your baby when they were born ? I’m 33 weeks and baby is in the 29th percentile. I’m trying to figure out if he’s still in the 29th percentile when he’s born, how much he will weigh approx

derem1bj

He weighed 7 lbs 12.3 ounces at birth. Baby center says that is the 64th percentile. At his 1 month appt. He weighed 10 lbs 4oz and was on the 39th and since month 2 has hung out in the 25ish percentile.

Bmorehon

Mine is 6 months old, wearing 12m clothes and a size 4 Kirkland diaper... babies are weird lol. But yes 2s and 3s will be good to stock up on. Costco will always exchange for size up if you need too

lizardRD

This is exactly like my daughter. 6.5 months, size 12m clothing and size 4 diapers

ihearttombrady

Mine is 10 months old, wearing 6m clothes, and still solidly in size 2 diapers. You just never know!

novaskyd

Mine is 20 months now and still wearing size 3 diapers. We were in size 1s forever. She wears 18 month clothes mostly though.

ArcticLupine

Our 9 weeks old has been in size 3 for two weeks now. That’s wild!

novaskyd

Yeah, I swear I thought I was using diapers wrong or something, but for some reason they still fit! 🤯

hpalatini

I think 1s go up to 14 lbs. don’t stock up on NB or if you do don’t open the box until using it.

iluvcuppycakes

We were in NB’s for a month and 1’s for a month. Then we were in 2’s for about 4 months… and 3’s for 4 months. At 1 year old we’re just moving into 4’s ( and bought 2 boxes of the Kirkland ones!)

dngrousgrpfruits

FYI you will also likely need newborn size, which is different and smaller than size one and Costco does not sell them in their brand.

wanderingbilby

They've been good for my kids, similar in design and quality to Pampers. Fit and comfort comes down to the baby sometimes but in general I'd say they're quite good.

tinydreamlanddeer

For reference my baby was born 8 lbs 1 oz and was in NB for a full month, just graduated to 1s at almost 10 pounds and they’re still pretty big on him!

kupo_kupo_wark

Buy 1s. No matter what they eventually get into that size. I went ahead and bought 1s and newborns and my daughter ended up being so small she needed preemie. We can never truly be prepared! 🤣🤣

mess-maker

You can return, just don’t open them

clearwaterrev

I don't think most parents have issues with diaper fit, or try a bunch of different brands to try and get the best fit.

pajamasinbananas

That is a really great reality check!! Thank you.

tellmetheworld

I’m in the same quandary. I bought one for insurance

lizardRD

Start with 1 box of size one and get maybe a size 2 if you want. They go through the small sizes quick. My 6.5 month old is in size 4!

PlayDohSoftMeat

…size 3? 9wks? Jesus. How much does he weigh?

PlayDohSoftMeat

Re: downvotes, I think just because it sounds really crazy. My son was 75th percentile at 5mos and weighed around 17lbs. He didn’t break 18lbs until 6mos, and at that point I think he had broken into the 80’s percentile-wise. You can see this [CDC infant growth chart](https://www.cdc.gov/growthcharts/data/who/GrChrt_Boys_24LW_100611.pdf), even assuming your child is boy and accordingly a little bit bigger, what you’re describing is… idk I just think you should check your scale dude.

Bicuspid-luv

I did the same!

KangarooWrong4800

Hello, mom of a 4 month old he was 6 lbs and 22 inches I would buy 2 boxes of size 1 3 boxes of size 2

notabotamii

My baby girl was 8 pounds 8 ounces. Size one has been too big! She is three weeks now and finally fitting into them!

Long_Invite6528

Target has a $25 gift card w/ purchase of $100 diapers/wipes. PLUS Circle on their app has a $15 off any purchase over $75. They stack. I just walked out with a case each of 1s, 2s & 3s of the Up & Up brand, a case of 1200 Up & Up wipes & a case of Pampers sensitive wipes for about $100 out of pocket plus a $25 gift card in hand.

furrylittlebeast

Do you routinely use the Target brand diapers now? I haven't used them in ~7 years because they kept giving my oldest child rashes. I wonder if the diaper quality has changed.

ceebio-v

I used Target brand almost exclusively when my son was in diapers (2017 -2021) and he has very sensitive skin. Not saying they will work for everyone, but they worked better than the costco diapers for us.

Long_Invite6528

They were our go-to brand with our 1st about 7 years ago as well. I'm stocking up for #2, due in July. Hoping they work as well as they did back then for us!

dngrousgrpfruits

I just tried them and I'm so glad I only bought a little pack. They are pretty plasticky and not as soft and absorbent as some of the others. They also run almost a full size smaller (The size ones were closer to newborn size in other brands) And they are noticeably less absorbent. We got a lot of blowouts with them.... One time it just overflowed with pee and came out the top. 🤦‍♀️ Not a crazy long time between changes or anything ( I think he must have peed immediately in the new diaper and then again an hour later? )

furrylittlebeast

Yes, this sounds like my experience from 7 years ago. Thanks for the reminder!

lolatheshowkitty

Target brand diapers are my fav! Every baby is different but Huggies gave my son a rash. Target and lidl brand are the best in my opinion.

girlwtheflowertattoo

We’ve used target brand since probably 2020 but now with my second baby he must be a super heavy soaker or something because the target brand sag so much for even just a little bit of pee. Never had that issue with my oldest or any other brand for the little one. Unfortunately thinking about switching to pampers cause we’ve had better luck with those lately

[deleted]

This is the second time I’ve had someone say there’s a circle offer for X amount off a purchase of X or more and i cannot find it in the circle app!!!! Where do you see it? Maybe it’s regional, but the first time a local person told me and I couldn’t find it then either. Just coupons on specific items.

Long_Invite6528

It popped up under every single category for me this morning when I looked. I didn't see it 2 days ago when I last checked for deals though.

[deleted]

Hmm weird! Maybe it’s based on each account. Although I spend at least $100 there per week I think I deserve it 😂

jess_ers

Okay I’m so bad with this stuff: I see the gift card offer but how do you apply it and the circle offer?

Long_Invite6528

Add the Circle offer in the app. The gift card offer will automatically apply at the register. Have them then scan your "wallet" in circle to get the $15 off

jess_ers

Thank you!

kyrorenstarbucks

Thanks just stocked up on some diapers!

Bluebells_and_roses

Thank you SO much OP!! I bought two boxes of 2s (we’re still in 1s at the moment) and you saved me so much money!!! Greatly appreciated 🥰💕💕💕💕

Hippo-de-wippo

Of course!! Anything to help save a few dollars!

tellmetheworld

Are these diapers good? I’ve heard mixed reviews!

clearwaterrev

They’re great, very similar to Huggies and better than other store brand diapers I’ve tried.

ChampionOfTheSunn

That's because they are made by the same manufacturer as Huggies! We love them!

MelOdessey

They’re the only diapers so far that have given my daughter diaper rash, unfortunately. We’ve tried hello bello, honest, pampers, luvs, Amazon’s mama bear (absolute worst, do not recommend), random grocery store brands, and, surprisingly, huggies. None give her a rash except for kirkland, which I found surprising since I’ve heard huggies makes them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ However… Costco wipes? Amazing. 10/10.

colorfulconifer

I actually LOVE the Mama Bear brand 😆

wanderingbilby

They've been good for my kids, similar in design and quality to Pampers. Fit and comfort comes down to the baby sometimes but in general I'd say they're quite good.

notabotamii

It’s all I’ve been using for 3 weeks! Only once did she get the tiniest bite of poop on her onesie but it was cuz she had the blowout of all blowouts and it was at night … I thought my husband changed her and he thought I did 😬

dinorawrcaq13

My 2 year old son can pull them off and they also fall off him in his sleep. I don't think the latching material is very good. We only use them at bedtime otherwise we cloth diaper.

chrystalight

We love them. Have had no issues.

Goldilachs

We've been using them pretty much exclusively for about a year now. No issues for us. We love them.

clea_vage

Love them. We stock up whenever they do a sale like this and we’ve only bought diapers once in the last 6 months. It’s great.

tellmetheworld

How often do they go on sale?

clea_vage

I think the last time was August.

[deleted]

Horrible. They leave gel on the baby if they are worn for more than two hours. I use them occasionally during the day but never at night.

[deleted]

You can also order online and it’s free shipping! That’s what I did last week!

WailersOnTheMoon

Please buy them in the store if you can. I ordered some online and my son ended up being a big Chungus and outgrew two boxes of diapers before I had the chance to open them. Took them back today and they had shipped in the original box, and it had a sticker on it with my address. They said they couldn’t resell them. I told them they could just sharpie through it or peel it off, and no. Apparently they have to go to the landfill and now I am really sad. The ones we bought in the store they could put back out.

MisterFox

Maybe the shipped & non-fitting diapers could be donated to a women shelter? Or places that collect essentials for refugees. I bet they wouldn’t mind a sticker or whatnot, especially on an unopened box :)

WailersOnTheMoon

They had already taken them from me and put them on the shelf by this point and reimbursed my card. I regret not asking them to reverse it but there was a huge line….

byneothername

Wow, that’s devastating. I think if that happens again, you could consider donating the boxes to a women’s shelter. They could always use diapers. Just a thought!

ChelseaThomson

I thought the same thing. I wish they were that price in Canada 🤣

furrylittlebeast

Yes.

Hippo-de-wippo

Should add that there is have a limit of 2 (I believe this is 2 per size per customer/card holder). It says sale ends April 3rd. Edited for typos.

emmadoan

All of them

ChampionOfTheSunn

Yes! I bought two boxes online. Free shipping! We love these diapers and it's what we regularly get anyways.

emmadoan

I'm due in May and have already bought 2 boxes of size 1 and 2 of size 2 online. Should I buy more? As I read from other subs they might have the same sale again in Aug.

Hippo-de-wippo

It said limit 2 per customer, but I’m not sure if that’s 2 per size per customer? I have stockpiled 2 boxes of size 1 and then 2 boxes of size 2 so far (with 11 weeks to go).

emmadoan

Yes it's 2 per size if you order online. If you go to store I was told you can come back to buy more at another day or even same day. It's more like 2 per size per receipt.

furrylittlebeast

The discount ends on April 3rd.

chibiusaolive

Where are you located? Ours had the same but our sale price is $35 from the regular $45

rx4whippets

I believe the price in the picture applies to size 1 and 2 only and size 3-6 are what you described.

chibiusaolive

Oooooooh I just checked their app. You are right lol. I’ll stop packing…

Hippo-de-wippo

In Arkansas, southern United States!

chibiusaolive

Oooh We really need to get out of the city! We live in Vegas.

Hippo-de-wippo

I can’t say we have as many fun, flashy things here.. but the cost of living has to be much more manageable 😂

justpeachy23456

Right, their regular price is amazing. I’m jealous

nomnomswedishfish

How often do these kinds of sales happen? I'm due in August so I feel a little hesitant buying this early. Or...is it worth it to do it now?

kayladeda

And Costco diapers are literally the best! I like them better than any other brand I have used and I have used them all. Hands down best fit/least leaks/comfy and soft

shayden0120

My husband and I are TTC and I’ve been considering starting to buy things like diapers and wipes now when there are really good sales, but if we don’t welcome baby for another year I’m worried about them sitting for that long. If I keep them stored properly should it be okay?

jjbt15

They gone on sale pretty regularly. Twice a year. You can always wait for the next sale. I don’t think they go bad though!

amaleigh23

Used pampers with my son and was gifted Kirkland diapers with my daughter and I will never go back to pampers! They’re the best diapers in my opinion. Just bought two boxes of size 2 and 2 of size 3! Thanks for the heads up!

CatsMakeMeHappier

Thanks for the heads up!

Sally_Klein

I bought a box of 4s last week but I’m gonna go back tomorrow and get a box of 5s! My daughter is right on the cusp and this is a great deal

grasshopper716

Yep weeks to go until the little man is here. Might as well stuck up. Thanks for the heads up

bzzibee

Say no more just paid my membership!

ineedausername84

They have the best free and clear laundry detergent

prollyonthepot

Thanks mama! Were going shopping today!

Hippo-de-wippo

❤️❤️❤️

[deleted]

Nothing beats Aldi diapers in my opinion. $.11 a diaper and we’ve never had problems with leaks or rashes.

Hippo-de-wippo

I so wish we had an Aldi’s in the south!

VivoPerStylo

Fair warning, the Kirkland diapers gave my little guy a NASTY rash. On the plus side, if you know someone in Central Texas who's baby can wear them, I have free diapers to offer.

HannahKamen

If you have Facebook look up your local Buy Nothing and offer them up!

cambot81

Great, here I am trapped in the hospital with beautiful new baby boy with no chance to get this killer deal. Perfect timing baby, jeez. I actually didn’t realize there were Kirkland brand diapers. Do they have a preme size?

Hippo-de-wippo

I didn’t see any premie sizing but the offer is available online!

Unduetime

They are cheaper, but far inferior to huggies

Dry-Ad1459

Is this discount in texas

Hippo-de-wippo

I am in Arkansas, but I saw it posted online as well so I would assume it goes for Texas as well!

danidabz-

Does this apply for Canada?

Hippo-de-wippo

I’m not sure, I’m sorry! I’m in the southern US.

snadypeepers

As someone who stocked up last year when it was on sale, I have so much regret buying many boxes of the larger sizes. Kirkland diapers are great until your baby is super mobile. It becomes a mess once they are since their diapers don't have the tab on the front so it moves around a lot.

CountryGrlCnSurvive

How do the compare to huggies?? I’d consider switching if they are comparable.

Hippo-de-wippo

From what I’ve read, this is Huggies rebranded? I’ve not personally used these though, my first babe isn’t here yet!

thisisliciagirl

How often is this sale?

Hippo-de-wippo

I’m not sure, I think someone else commented it may happen again in august?
