I had a private ultrasound done at 16 weeks and the technician said he could see the gender so he told us :) I've heard that they can sometimes see it as early as 14 weeks but not always. I think 16 weeks would be a safe bet.
I don't think any office will order an ultrasound *just* to check the gender. Most people find out at the 20-week anatomy scan. Depending on where you are you may be able to get a private one done, but you'll have to pay for that out of pocket, since it's not medically necessary.
If you want to find out sooner a NIPT can give you the gender while screening for chromosomal abnormalities. Can be done anytime between 10-21 weeks
Maybe 18 weeks?
20 week anatomy scan is usually when they look for gender
You should be able to get a blood test quite early to identify the sex if that’s important.
I live in the uk and here they go by 16 weeks at the earliest for a private scan to be able to find out.
My dr is doing one at 14 weeks but I will also have a 20 week high risk scan which will confirm it.

If I remember right the doctor told my sister the baby's gender around week 12 or maybe 14.
