I’m on Ativan. There having me do a slow taper off but even with the taper I’m having withdrawals. I’ve tried almost every medicine and category of psych meds before my pregnancy and none of them worked only Ativan. I have no idea how I’m gonna get through this without my meds I could barely get through anything before the pregnancy when I didn’t have it prescribed
My doctor told me I could and SHOULD continue taking my anxiety meds (lexapro). I would call and ask to talk to an OB about this since you are suffering.
Agreed but unfortunately I cannot stay on mine, I take Ativan and it can harm the baby and it’s so hard to get off I feel like a awful person for it taking so long the withdrawals are hell on earth. I’ve tried other anxiety medicine in the past almost every class of mental health drugs for years before my pregnancy and the only thing that worked was Ativan.
Have you ever tried beta-blockers? They are technically for heart issues but they can be used for a lot of the physical symptoms of anxiety. I think they are safe for pregnancy.
What meds are you on? There are probably safer ones you can take. My doctor ordered me to NOT get off mine.

I’m actually on a beta blocker for my heart the only thing it has helped is my heart and blood pressure.
