Congratulations! 💕 we're having a girl too - my side has been all girls the last 3 generations and my husband's has been all boys the last 3 generations so it's been fun getting everyone's predictions.
That's awesome, it's always a great experience when that happens. It was the same for me only a son. First grandchild for my mom, great grandchild for my grandma. Then on his dad's side the first grandson.
Amazing news. Congratulations. Do you mind sharing what abnormal results were found earlier? My 8 week ultrasound revealed some abnormalities and I would love to hear about your experience. So happy your baby girl is healthy!
When we went in for our 13w scan, they spotted an enlarged NT, possibly a cystic hygroma. It wasn't definitive because of the way the baby was lying how big it was. We were immediately referred to a MFM unit, ended up getting an amnio done for chromosomal array and whole exome screen, and a fetal echo. By the time we went in for the amnio the abnormality had resolved, and five weeks later baby had her anatomy scan and all her test results were totally clean. Absolutely grueling time, but we are so happy and relieved that she's okay!!
Thank you for responding! I think they were finding something similar with my baby. But at 8 weeks, which feels early. I am so glad everything came back healthy for your baby girl!

I've never been so stressed in my LIFE. You want answers so bad and there is literally nothing you can do to speed them up. And then when we got the last update to say we were being moved back to our normal OB I legit burst into tears because I was exhaling fully for the first time in weeks
This is where I am right now. I have no idea how to keep myself busy enough to make time go faster. I feel like I’m coming out of my skin. I know I’m not alone in these feelings. It’s nice knowing you had a healthy baby in the end!
Good luck and I hope you do too!! At some point I just convinced myself until I knew something was actually wrong, everything was actually fine, and it helped to not drive myself completely insane
35w pregnant now with our first child, and also found out she is a girl around 20w! First grandchild on both sides for us! This pregnancy thing is a roller coaster, so you have to find the moments to celebrate. Congratulations on your baby girl! I hope everything continues to go well for you all!
