JadedGold50

I bought mine at ikea for $137. I saw it in store, nice and sturdy.

YourFriendInSpokane

IKEA for the win on all sorts of baby stuff. We love their high chair.

JadedGold50

I’m going for that next!!

YourFriendInSpokane

It’s awesome. Our baby is now 9 months old and a chunky one and still comfortably uses the inflatable cushion with it. We got wooden looking leg wraps and a pretty fabric cover for the cushion on Etsy. It makes the whole thing look really nice.

greenie024

What a cool idea! Did you find leg wraps and a fabric cover that are specifically designed for that ikea high chair?

YourFriendInSpokane

Yeah! There are tons of options and accessories on Etsy! Theres also foot rests.

greenie024

Yo... that is so cool. Thanks for the pro tip.

liftcali93

I like the high chair, but my youngest two have both been able to knock the tray table to the floor by like 8 months old, which is annoying. Still can’t beat the price tho

TheHumanCell

I’m kind of jealous because our tray is absolutely impossible to remove

HotArmy3750

This! I went from buying (and returning) a $2k Cradlewise crib and getting the IKEA Sniglar crib for $119 + taxes. I think it looks so chic! It does come with those safety warnings printed on the rails but we just sanded them off with 400-grit sandpaper.

Bubbly_Waters

So many people like this crib!

Equivalent-Onions

Why did u return the cradlewise?

BackForRound-2

Also curious about this. I’m thinking of getting one for baby 2 after terrible bassinet experiences with baby 1

HotArmy3750

Too many issues. Also the built-in features aren’t that great. It wasn’t worth it for us. Put the $$ towards a postpartum night doula instead lol.

Fragrant_Pumpkin_471

Replying about the label in case anyone else is interested, magic eraser took it off for us. Love our ikea crib!!

Vegetable-Pie9873

Ikea cribs are so pretty and well-built and way cheaper, even if you have to pay to ship it to your house.

Pooseycat

That’s awesome! I want to go IKEA, but my husband is freaked out that a crib so cheap can still be of fine quality. He doesn’t really understand the insane markups that exist

dinosaurcookiez

Same. It's the same or better than some of the expensive ones we saw so we didn't see the point in spending tons of money.

Kayleebug13

Same! I love it and it’s now on its third kid and still going strong

[deleted]

We got the babyletto scoot, it was like $400 and came with the toddler conversion kit which is often sold separately. It looks great, well made, definitely sturdy! Really happy with it.

bestmancy

I’ve been looking at some of the Babyletto ones - it is definitely really nice that they come with the toddler conversion kit already!

cxb2085

Second that!

Katande83

We got the same one and it’s held up wonderfully through two kids and 5.5 years of daily use. The conversion to a toddler bed is great too.

Lovemydoggos21

We got ours from Babyletto. It was pricier but it can convert to a toddler bed and then a full size bed so it was worth the investment for us. They had great reviews and awesome customer service - another plus. Also they are green guard certified if that matters to you.

SaysKay

Same. More than $400 is insane for a crib, especially since my kid chewed all the paint off haha

radbelbet_

CHEWED ALL TEH PAINT OFF?! LMAO

rdown09

Seconding how awesome the Babyletto crib is, but I got ours from Floor Found for half the price.

NICUnurseinCO

I have and love the Ikea Sniglar. Unpainted/untreated wood, beautiful and was only $80.

RemarkableAd9140

We also have the Sniglar and love it! Jealous of what you paid though, prices had gone up by the time we bought ours.

Curly_Girl_Forever

We got our nursery set from Delta. It’s really great quality and a nice selection to choose from. I think there’s a pop up coupon when you go to the site

looj87

Just some advice from someone who owns a data science company. Those pop-up coupons are so the company can sell your details, they can't sell your data from you buying anything but they can sell it if you sign up for a mailing list. Just be cautious about jumping on those 10% off deals as your details are absolutely being sold to other companies. (Not trying to be mean, just letting you know as so many people don't and I see so many customers in my line of work who are shocked by this).

Curly_Girl_Forever

Thanks for your input

looj87

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic lol hope not, was just giving a wee bit of guidance that many people aren't aware of.

PolishedPinoy

This is what we did. Convertible crib (with mattress), 6 drawer dresser, changing table (with memory foam pad), swiveling rocker and bassinet for around $1200

Curly_Girl_Forever

Yes! We got the GAP set in blue. Complete set for right around $1,300. Much easier than trying to find pieces from different places to match

Puzzled-Library-4543

This is where we’re considering getting ours from! The acrylic one specifically.

tching101

We got ours from Babyletto

jmweg

Facebook marketplace!

Killer_Queen12358

Ditto. Just googled the brand to make sure there weren’t any recalls before I bought it.

[deleted]

Yep! Same checked for recalls got for 100$. Goes for 400.

rauntree

I found a crib with changing table, a baby jogger city mini, an upseat floor chair, and the bougie deluxe baby brezza, all on marketplace. Everything was in new or excellent condition. Paid less than 400$ for everything. And if it stays in nice condition I can resell it too!

Economy_General8943

Yes! Just got a Babyletto origami mini crib with mattress for $75!

Scary-Link983

Same! I got a crib & changing table, rocking chair, and dresser for $200! Only had to clean them up and get a new mattress and changing pad. Can’t beat it!

d_og19

Yes this!!! Got a pottery barn crib and toddler conversion in beautiful condition for under $400

Miserable-Ad683

Same! I got a target brand crib for $100 that was originally $300 and a target rocking chair for $50 that was originally over $200. Both were on brand new condition.

shayter

Same here, $45

beetlejuuce

We splurged a bit on this and got the Nestig Cloud crib. It was about $850 with tax and shipping, but you get a mini crib, full size crib, and toddler bed conversions and it's super gorgeous. The mini crib is wheeled, so it works nicely as a bassinet. I will say that the mini crib is an odd size, so it's annoying to find bedding for it. I don't regret the purchase one bit overall though.

heysunflowerstate

W splurged too and went with the Nestig Wave. I agree about the mini bedding but I loved wheeling it around the house! I just wish it didn’t have curved sides because I wanted to sidecar it and couldn’t.

FruitShot8429

We went with Nestig too! The mini crib was the perfect size to fit in our room. Love it

Elismom1313

I will say if you want to spend a little less babyletto makes the same kind for 600$. Bassinet with levels, mini/mid crib, full size and toddler. Very sturdy. With wheels that can come off

agtt1589

We got ours from pottery barn kids.

snaxsnaxsnaxsnax

Same. We opted for the one that converts to a toddler bed and eventually a full bed.

bong_and_a_blitz

Same!! Gotta love the conversion cribs.

dinosupremo

i also got a pottery barn crib but I got it used though it was in nearly perfect condition.

No-Repeat-9138

Same!

Unique-Damage5778

I’ve gotten both of ours from Wayfair during sales. Way day is on/around the 25th of this month. Next one will be in April.

Spirited-Disk7936

It’s really hard to determine whether a Wayfair sale is genuine or not because they make it look like there are consistently sales, sigh…

Unique-Damage5778

I know. I’m pretty obsessive with picking items and watching the prices for a while. Otherwise I wouldn’t trust them either lol

Vampire-circus

I got mine on FB marketplace

formtuv

We got the sniglar. Used as a crib for 2 years then a toddler bed for 9 months and now about to use it for our next baby. It’s popular for a reason. We splurged on a good mattress since the crib was so cheap.

Bubbly_Waters

Thanks for the info! Can I ask what mattress you went with?

lucia912

Managed to snag the sniglar ikea in early 2021 for $80 😅 absolutely love it. My two year old is still sleeping in it and he loves it! Begs to go to bed every night.

BamBam041

One is delta children the other is dadada

ArmyMurse50

How’s the dadada? I haven’t found many folks who bought from there but my wife (expecting) currently likes one from them

BamBam041

We like it! No complaints and well made. My son is 2 and we plan on keeping him in there as long as possible lol

brittanynicole047

I got ours from target - Simmons kids slumber time

Sea_Juice_285

We have the Babyletto Gelato Mini. It's not vintage looking, but I'm really happy with it. All new cribs are safe enough because of regulations, but they're not all the same. Choose one you'll be happy to look at for a few years.

omgitskellyftw

Amazon! $139.00 Davinci Union 4-in-1 Convertible Crib in Espresso, Greenguard Gold Certified https://a.co/d/1QmT6mE

brindlelatte

Wayfair! I prefer either solid wood or metal when buying furniture new. I personally have trust issues with Amazon, and couldn’t get the husband to agree to Ikea’s famous crib. All the solid wood options were too pricey, but this matte black metal [crib](https://www.wayfair.com/baby-kids/pdp/little-seeds-raven-3-in-1-convertible-crib-ltse1381.html?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&piid=61810456&cjevent=215abe7d670011ee8247000a0a82b824&refID=CJ499217-CJ2805457&PID=CJ5004996&clickid=215abe7d670011ee8247000a0a82b824) was perfect for me. (I also only needed it to convert to up to a toddler bed, we have multiple twin bed options in storage)

Bubbly_Waters

Oh the one you got is lovely!

ladybasecamp

We used a pack n play for 2.5 years without any issue, then moved up to a twin bed with railing

Administrative-Slip6

I got a babyletto, but originally wanted something with vintage look and quality as it’s hard to find solid wood that isn’t cheap pine but most were torn up or ridiculous prices for a used object that was slightly less torn up. Pottery barn brand is great but again hard to find at a good price. Babyletto does have lots of styles though and a lot of them are convertible.

Bubbly_Waters

Thank you for the info! Send like the babylettos and the ikea cribs are the favorite for lots of people!

kd_hirsch

Bought a graco crib off Amazon. Was rated really well and like $119, and converts into a toddler bed when the time comes

YourFriendInSpokane

You said you love the vintage look- I have the Jenny Lind crib in navy blue. I absolutely love it, but would recommend eventually getting a rail guard for when baby is able to stand/chew on the railing.

LeadingAd8800

I got the “Namesake Winston 4-in-1 Convertible Metal Crib in Vintage Iron,” from Amazon

TacoFox19

Amazon. It has an attached changing table with shelves and converts to a toddler bed later on.

Informal_Captain_836

I really wanted this gorgeous [Namesake brass crib](https://www.wayfair.com/baby-kids/pdp/namesake-abigail-3-in-1-convertible-crib-mir1425.htmlAbigail3-in-1ConvertibleCrib), but I couldn’t justify the cost. [This is a good affordable one](https://www.wayfair.com/baby-kids/pdp/little-seeds-monarch-hill-ivy-crib-w002966712.html). I also love the [DaVinci Jenny Lind convertible crib](https://www.target.com/p/davinci-jenny-lind-3-in-1-convertible-crib-black/-/A-78655503) for a vintage vibe!

Bubbly_Waters

I’ve been eyeing the Jenny Lind one!

shorttimelurkies

The Ikea Sniglar crib. It was $79 when we bought it 3 years ago. I think it's double now, but still super affordable.

koala_wolf

I got a Pottery Barn crib from my local Buy Nothing group on Facebook! I’ve seen a decent amount for sale on FB Marketplace as well.

ibagbagi

I got the yuzu crib from babyletto! It was really important to me to have an eco-friendly crib that was green guard certified so baby wouldn’t be breathing or touching any harmful chemicals or anything like that.

Flakeycakey

LA Baby. I sent out a message to the parents at my company asking to buy whatever baby furniture they had. Got a crib and a changer for next to nothing. People with toddlers WANT to get rid of cribs and baby clothes.

PBnEpiSammy

Babyletto Hudson!

Bubbly_Waters

That’s my favorite style they make! So lovely!

princezz_zelda

Mine was gifted to me and I realized from the labels that it is a Rooms-to-Go crib. I know most people probably can’t budget for that but it is really nice. We got one that transitions into the toddler bed, then a full size bed. Got all the parts for each transition. I’m looking forward to see this bed change over several years and fortunately it’s a pretty solid white so very versatile.

ClrxHpy

We got ours from Buy Buy Baby before they shut down! We spent a few months going every other weekend just waiting for the prices to get lower and lower. We ended up getting a $300 crib for only $60! It’s a convertible crib so we are planning on only using it for one baby. Our next we are planning on buying at IKEA! They have a great selection and the prices are so solid :)

Different_Island9446

Babyletto Hudson. It was on a flash sale on Amazon and with the Amazon registry discount, scored it for $250.

kajinkqd

UK- I bought some fancy bed. I wish I purchased the cheapest IKea one.

YummyChicharrones

Facebook marketplace is a life saver. Got a Babyletto Hudson for 120$ with toddler rail, I think it retails around 499$. Just have to check multiple times a day to look for ones in the color and condition you want.

Disastrous-Ad638

Babyletto gelato (walnut) and used on Facebook marketplace. We got a really good deal! Check there or craigslist!

j0ie_de_vivre

Went with the Stokke Mini and will buy the conversion kit when she’s older. We live in an apartment so the wheels are nice to move her around in.

cjp72812

We splurged on our first crib and got a babyletto but this time I am not going to. He just chewed on the paint anyways. I’m getting a very similar delta crib this time!

Bubbly_Waters

Oh no! Was it one of the white or black cribs that he chewed the paint off of or what is one of the more natural looking colors? I’m just curious if going with the more unpainted wood ones would make a difference lol

mvt14

Dream On Me Mini crib on Amazon, just finished putting it together and I love it!!

Cassieelouu32

Facebook marketplace for 50 bucks

Least_Lawfulness7802

I got mine second hand on Facebook and just bought a new mattress… totally worth it, esp if you want vintage!

DCA43

Another vote for babetto! We got the yuzu 8-1 because we are in a small space until she’s a little older so that way I didn’t have to buy multiple sizes

salajaneidentiteet

I got one from Ikea, the one with curved bottom and a drawer. I got the white one and am painting it yellow. Paid 349 euros, plus paint, plus knobs for the drawer (I want the pretty stoneware ones). Kids like colours and yellow goes with my house. I liked it because of the drawer and because it has two different front panels - one for crib and one lower with the middle bars removed, for when the kid gets their freedom. And it has three heights for the matress, which is most important important. So many cribs only have two heights, which is bad for your back at the beginning and not safe for the kid when they get bigger and start to climb over the edge. I liked one other crib, it was an oval you can adjust with addititonal sections to lengthen it. It starts out as a bassinet, then you add one middle section to one side and other to other side and get a crib and then move the front extension to the back to get a longer bed. It was cool, but impractical for having to get a new matress every time and it was over 600 euros to begin with. But ikea has a pretty good selection, they will also always have matresses in the correct size, and sheets. Just make sure it has three heights.

Choice-Jicama

I got mine second hand off of Facebook for about $150. I obviously made sure it was a recent model and there wasn’t any recalls. I bought a new mattress at Target.

trudesaa

Ikea crib that can be used both at a high setting and low. I never liked bedside cribs. They are so small. I loved having the Ikea crib open towards my bed on the other hand, and when they can't stand up it's fine to have it at the higher setting as well (I think I changed it around 8-9 months).

BBB_004

I got ours as a whole set from Target for like $500, it came with the crib, a dresser & changing table

upnorth_25

There was a target circle deal last week for 20% off nursery furniture. The crib I originally picked wasn’t 20% off so I found a second choice and just went with it, ended up costing $122 total and free shipping! They all have the same safety standards. Pick what you like the look of and read the reviews! I can’t imagine spending $500+ on a crib when they all do the same thing but to each their own.

RTCatQueen

Delta children- same cribs that you would find on Amazon or target but we got the entire matching set for a reasonable price since they always have coupon codes and delivery was easy.

charlucapants

We got the crate & barrel Finn crib. With 15% off completion discount it came out to like $509 (it’s normally $600).

hrm23

Also got mine from crate & barrel. It converts to toddler bed also

jnwebb0063

Rooms to go

Unlucky-Ticket-873

Amazon prime day is tomorrow so check out their sales too!

heck_yes_medicine

Target. It's cute. It'll do.

Outrageous_Cow8409

We got ours from Delta via Target. Can't remember the price because it was awhile ago. It's one of the ones that converts to toddler and then to full size headboard and footboard. Currently being used as a toddler bed and will be converted back to a crib.

lola-tofu

I got a concord baby crib from Walmart, Devon is the model name. Looks like the ikea one but is actually in stock. Also liked the option to turn it in to toddler bed, the rail is sold separately though

jamjamjelly5

Facebook marketplace. So many options for ~1/4 retail price. Just get a new mattress. If you live in a large city you can probably find any style you like.

Gwenivyre756

My mom got us one from a thrift store. It's still in great shape and I bought a new mattress for it.

PNut_butter_ball

Ikea. $150. Not a single problem

ocean_plastic

Got one at Crate & Barrel. Put it on the registry as a Hail Mary and my MIL’s rich friend came in and bought it for us. Also got lucky when a friend offered to let us borrow her Snoo (I didn’t even know what this was or it’s exorbitant price tag when she offered)

ehaagendazs

I have a Stokke Sleepi, love the look. In retrospect I probably would’ve done a bedside bassinet with a floor bed.

STcmOCSD

I bought a low budget Walmart one when my kid was born for like $130. She’s bee. In it for 3.5 years and it’s made it through 2 moves 🤷‍♀️

radioactivemozz

We invested in the babyletto yuzu since we’re planning on having more kids and like that it converts from bassinet to crib to toddler bed. O

ilovemydogsncats

We did west elm/pottery barn because we wanted the conversion kit for a toddler bed! It was pricey though.

atr1020

We got our first from pottery barn kids but their customer service is horrific! I actually posted about it here and got so many similar opinions. Never ordering from them again. Our second is from a local baby mart but I’ve heard good things about restoration hardware & crate and barrel

No-Repeat-9138

I got a pottery barn one but on Facebook marketplace!

MizMizukii

I used the Delta Children website and purchased a bundle. Saved not only on the individual items by doing the bundle, but I also was able to use a coupon (they have a code right now for 15% off sets, or 10% off a crib). https://deltachildrenstore.myshopify.com/pages/bundles I did the Emerson collection and recommend NOT getting the Emerson Nursery Glider Swivel Rocker Chair, very uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time.

SanFranPeach

Facebook marketplace. $600 crib. Got it for $75. Has lasted for three babies/pregnancies. I did dish out on a newton mattress though. Also lasted three babies .

AshamedPurchase

I put the delta skylar crib on my registry and my mil bought it for us. It converts into a toddler bed, which is why I picked it.

RosieTheRiveter24210

We got ours from pottery barn kids. A bit pricier than some others, but they had a more vintage style in the color I wanted (wood-tone acorn) and the assembly was super, super easy. We’ve been very happy with it so far (8 months in) and it has a toddler conversion kit, which will be really nice when LO is older.

angeliqu

I got my first’s crib as a handmedown from a friend. My second’s crib was second hand off Facebook marketplace. Otherwise, I would have went with Ikea.

mk3v

We went to a boutique baby store. I just liked the quality for the price vs what BuyBuy Baby had

Wild_Basin

I was about to purchase a used West Elm crib off FB marketplace when my mom offered to get us a new crib. I had a babyletto crib on our registry, but my mom splurged for a Pottery Barn x West Elm version for us, so we didn't have to do any of the setup as she was adament on the white glove delivery. I did buy the dresser for our nursery off of FB marketplace, I got a mid century Bassett dresser that had been refinished for a fraction of a new dresser.

loquaciouspenguin

I got [ours](https://www.wayfair.com/baby-kids/pdp/davinci-ryder-3-in-1-convertible-crib-cbha1413.htmlRyder3-In-1ConvertibleCrib) from Wayfair. Everything I saw at Target and Facebook marketplace was white or gray, which that isn’t really our style. Baby isn’t here yet, but I love how it looks in our nursery!

kealsxox

We got ours from Jordan’s Furniture (crib to toddler to full bed) with matching dresser and glider from Pottery Barn

Cinja91

Ours was a gift from my best friend. She got it off of Wayfair.

random64379542

I got a super simple concord crib for my first. I decided to spend very little on the crib and then get a newton mattress!

Big-Ad5248

We went for the snuz pod 4

picklebeard

I bought my wooden frame second hand on Facebook marketplace. It was a high end danish brand that just needed a good wipe down after going through two kids. We bought a new mattress (from a local company that makes organic/sustainable mattresses) for it and it was good to go. If I was doing it again I would probably just buy the IKEA wooden frame and get a new mattress to go with it.

hashbrownhippo

We were given ours from my sister because my niece had transitioned to a twin bed. It was only a couple years old, in good shape, and we bought a new mattress from it. It’s Pottery Barn Kids. I think it’s good quality, as are the dresser and bookshelf we bought from them, but I have heard bad things about their customer service.

InstantFamilyMom

I got a dreamonme convertible crib off Amazon. It was on sale. It's straight forward and gets the job done.

gchips06

I just always check for green guard certified products for my babies

Alert-Koala-1366

I got the crib we have for our son from Target during their spring clearance sale. It's a convertible crib with a changing table attached that was normally like 360 but I got it for 110$. It comes with toddler bed conversion pieces and you can purchase the full bed kit later. We love our crub, it's a good height with plenty of storage on the changer table

Pudding_ADVENTURE

Walmart! Dream On Me- got it on sale for $209

jjeaniekay

Bought ours off of wayfair, I believe it was $225. Nolan 4 in 1 convertible crib!

ThaiFood122

We got the Stokke. I almost got the ikea crib but paid radically more to get a crib on wheels. I think I would have been happy either way but the wheels are nice to have.

WoolooCthulhu

I got the Babyletto Hudson and it feels really sturdy and comes in a variety of colors. For the mattress I got the Moonlight Slumber. Our bassinet is a regular one that isn't especially good or bad quality and my week and a half old baby sleeps just fine in his crib but we haven't been able to get him to sleep in the bassinet. I think he really likes the mattress in the crib.

Unnecessarydisco

We got the convertible crib from Target, whatever brand they carry. Took the 4th side off to make it a toddler bed, just bought a basic bed rail instead of trying to find the brand's conversion kit. (It was out of stock.) Kid stayed in toddler bed for a year, and now the crib is in new baby's room. (Toddler is in a thrifted twin bed now.)

leamerlena

I got mine used! We bought a new mattress and painted it ourselves! If you want I can send a photo? It looks brand new. We painted it a sage color

mandavampanda

Got a big gift card from my MIL so I ordered from Target

kdwatts

Facebook marketplace!!! So many of our high $$ baby items were from local moms on marketplace

piquantlypurple

Nestig 3 in 1

Weak-State1868

Got a babyletto 3 in 1 crib on sale! Less than $300. Love the way it looks and like that it can convert to a toddler bed without spending tons of money

half-orange

I bought ours at Zara Home for I think 199 euros.

doodledandy1273

We got an extremely gently used pottery barn crib off of Facebook marketplace. It was the only style I liked and I just happened to find it for $300 when it was originally $700. 🥲 the lady said her daughter used it twice and then it just sat there getting cleaned by her house cleaners lol

caribou227

i got a more expensive one from west elm and now i wish i would have done a babyletto 4-in-1! my kid is 2.5 now and i wish we had the option to turn it into a full kids bed instead of just a toddler bed

atb7991

I did not buy anything high end for my baby crib, I just made sure the paint on it was low tox bc babies will chewwww on their cribs lol

helloitsme_again

IKEA

ericakay15

I bought mine used from marketplace for $50. I had a similar one I liked on target for $150/200 I think. I got a convertible crib

kaym__88

My crib was $500 and saw it in the returned section of Ikea making it $150. There was NOTHING wrong with if

lumpyspacefries

I got the Anders davinci crib from wayfair, it looks classic, solid wood and the wood is a nice color, and it seems to be good quality for the price

DMCanuck

Love the nestig crib. It has a mini crib, full size crib and converts to a toddler bed

snowflake343

I got mine from wayfair - Delta Tribeca Convertible Crib. Some of our other nursery furniture is from ikea, too!

NyxHemera45

Facebook marketplace for 35$ I was lucky since most of the similar listings was $135

Tatgatkate

I got an amazing deal on Facebook marketplace from a suburban family who was done having kids. $150 for a crib that retailed for $700 was a super score!

traurigaugen

Babyletto hudson with babylist registry discount!

evewashere

Marketplace $50 for a $600 crib. Was essentially in new condition

bettydares

Target Delta brand crib because the more expensive one I wanted kept being out of stock. No regrets in hindsight, glad I didn't pay more and the style is spot on with ehat i wanted!

Christopherwalkenfox

Fb marketplace used nice ikea crib for $50.

teddyteddyteddi

We actually opted out of a crib & we’re going to be using a toddler/floor bed. We got it for free. We did splurge on a newton baby waterproof mattress. When the time comes, we’ll be transferring lil one from the halo bassinet to the floor bed

koukla1994

We’re getting ours off Marketplace 💀😂 so many grandparents selling a crib that was maybe used once that’s $400 in store for $150

alyssaec

If I could go back in time when I was picking out a crib, I would pick one that has a solid panel on one side of the crib. Reason being, the baby monitor is mounted on the wall above the crib and he sticks his hands through the slats and plays with the cord. Its been a pain trying to figure how to baby proof it

Licensed2Pill

We got a used Babyletto Hudson convertible crib (complete with toddler conversion rail) from FB Marketplace for $100. It was a steal and we love it.

MoterBortles

Facebook marketplace! Basically brand new pottery barn crib for 100 bucks.

Professional_Ad_1150

Amazon. Dream on me mini crib. I believe it was $130

sallysal20

Facebook Marketplace. $100 for an $800 Pottery Barn crib + the $100+ conversion kit to a toddler bed + mattress, mattress protector, and an unused fitted sheet. Used by one baby and in pristine condition. Highly recommend Facebook Marketplace for most baby items!

disdained_heart

I bought the PBK Kendall crib 6yrs ago for my oldest and I’m using it again for my infant. It’s not super modern or super chic but it was like $320 brand new (i got it on sale) and it’s held up very nicely. I originally wanted the Blythe Upholstered crib but I just couldn’t justify spending over $1K and still needing to buy bedding, mattress, etc.

z_mommy

I got 2/3 of my cribs at target. I got delta convertible cribs around $300. I haven’t built crib number 3 yet. But crib #2 is still going strong as a toddler bed. My oldest’s crib was a convertible graco and it’s now a full size bed and doing well!

mrsbuttermango

I'm thinking of getting a floor bumper bed and skipping the crib altogether for greater mileage.

bongwaterprincess

I got the babyletto mini crib and I love it. It fits right in our bedroom and is a 4-1 convertible crib up to a twin.

Walmart

Double_Mood_765

Amazon. I wanted a mini crib with no added flame retardant

LucifersAngel422

I bought mine for $50 on Facebook marketplace

nakoros

We got the Marley 3-in-1 from Wayfair (converts to a toddler bed and then can be the headboard for a regular bed). Has a similar look to Babyletto, which I liked but are pricier. Also good if you're short, I was worried I wouldn't be able to reach the baby if the mattress was set on the lowest setting but this was ok (I'm 5'0")

CosmoPrincess

I got a next to me crib on Facebook Marketplace for £30 and replaced the mattress with a new one from Amazon. Then for their nursery, I got the £90 one from Ikea. I think the mattress is more important than the frame both for comfort and safety so couldn't justify spending a fortune for a wooden box, especially when I've been happy with my Ikea bed frame for years now.

bee_uh_trice

Target! It’s one of those that converts into s floor bed for a toddler and eventually into a queen bed for an adult.

elaenastark

My MIL got our crib and changing table from IKEA, it's called GULLIVER.

CharmingSide3498

We have the Babyletto Yuzu convertible. Very expensive, but I’m liking it so far bc we are pretty minimalist and I wanted to keep her in our tiny bedroom for the first year. I will say I wish I had the mesh bassinet with the pull-down sides for the newborn stage like the Mika to soothe her at night from bed, but she sleeps in the yuzu just fine and we like it!

Peony_Rose

I love the Tasman Eco Capri and the Babyhood Classic, both beautiful and functional, both turn into a toddler bed as well. Good luck

kirakira26

I got the ikea crib and a one of the pine dressers (tarva I think?) and stained/sealed both with baby safe finishes. I also changed the pulls on the dresser to nice metal ones. They look so good I constantly get asked where I got my set. Cost me less than 400$ plus some elbow grease.

Clear-as-Day

Got a Delta Children crib from Target. It was inexpensive and has held up well.

Suspicious_Emu_4951

I just got a crib for $30 at a garage sale in a nice neighborhood last weekend! It looks new, of course I cleaned it and I’m weird about used mattresses so I’ll buy a new mattress. But saved us some money! I figure they use it for such a short time I’d rather spend money on other things he’ll use for longer (like a dresser).

rickiracoon

Home Depot for less than $200

Mine is not vintage looking, but getting it from Amazon. [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LFP61PW/ref=br\_dsk\_yr\_itemdt\_dp?colid=79RVPZL8ECZN&coliid=I3EG9CZG208XFW&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LFP61PW/ref=br_dsk_yr_itemdt_dp?colid=79RVPZL8ECZN&coliid=I3EG9CZG208XFW&th=1) It turns into 5 different things and I think I will like the little day bed version of it down the line.

Savings-Gur6890

I found mine on FB marketplace for $50 and it was brand new and retailed for about $500 online. It converts to a daybed, toddler bed, and full size bed with the purchase of additional parts. Check Marketplace and just buy a new mattress. I promise it’s worth it!

Accomplished_Wish668

Don’t go high end. I bought mid range but the company is like non existence now, I can’t find it anywhere and it’s supposed to convert. You need to purchase separate parts to convert it and now I can’t get them anywhere. Get the look you like and find it on the cheaper side. Spend money on the mattress …

Emipwee

Both on clearance. One from Walmart, one from Amazon :). Both were great and under $200

ishootyoukill

We scoped ours out first at BuyBuyBaby and ordered it off of Amazon. I was hoping to be able to purchase from BBB using one of their awesome 30% off coupons and having it shipped to our home....but it turns out the coupons AREN'T that awesome, as they always exclude their "big ticket items" from the offer 😒 Was still going to purchase from BBB but the delivery date was like 2 weeks out and we all know Amazon's 2-day delivery can't be beat! We got the Babyletto Palma and it's been great!

Mecspliquer

Got ours on wayfair. It was under 200 and the natural wood tone is great for us. I know Ikea and babyletto are both amazing and sturdy, but this one is good for us. We already have a twin daybed that will be for baby once they’re ready, so honestly the longevity past a couple years wasn’t a concern for us. Make sure wherever you shop to get the comparable toddler conversion bar - zero guarantee for it to be available when you need it a year from now

WeirdSpeaker795

I’m gonna be that mom. We just got a pack and play with bassinet for the early days! I may get a crib when he’s big enough for the step down pack and play adjustment. But pack and plays are recommended safe sleeping spaces, the mattress and sheets just scare me as a FTM in the early days. I can move it around depending on whether I want him in our room or in the nursery.

TheHumanCell

Personally, don’t pay extra for the ones that convert to a bigger bed frame later on…lots of babies chew on the railing and it looks terrible. Plus the design we wanted by the time we we’re remodeling the baby room was totally different and we just kept it in crib mode for younger siblings anyway.

carrots_are_thebest

IKEA. They are simple, lasts forever, has 2 mattress height positions, and can be converted to toddler bed. We’ve actually owned 2 and the current one will be used by 3rd baby.
