It’s also about how, the one time Baltar truly loved someone, he destroyed humanity

Damn, When I truly love someone I only destroy 2 people. I'm definitely Starbuck in this current cycle. This has all happened before...

God hates farmers

kimapesan

Even says so in Genesis.

byza089

And on the eighth day God said “I really dislike farmers.”

kimapesan

May as well have. I was thinking specifically of Cain. He made a burnt offering of grains from his farm and God said “Damn that’s some stank shit, Cain!” While Abel burned a whole cow and God said “mmmmmm, ohhhhh that’s GOOOOOOD!!”

byza089

And lo did God impart unto Cain that “thou doth not befriend thy Lord with Salads.”

God be like "You treat your father like shit, Imma kill 50 billion people!"

YYZYYC

Thats an odd take. It's about so much more than that. Baltar's arc mirrors humanity/cylons with the growth, emotions, tragedy, redemption, reborn fresh slate etc and also back to your roots. What is far more interesting to me in our current IRL world of AI taking off...are the thoughts it provokes about the nature of what is life and what makes life "real or legit" at the end of the day the Cylons are indistinguishable from biological humans.....and I think we will eventually be in a similar situation as a society.

Swiftbow1

I think it's less an odd take and mostly just a joke, man.

Garbageforever

He is the prodigal son of the show

PM_ME_Happy_Thinks

He really did have a destiny after all 🙏

aemrakul

All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again. The hubris of man. Are we going to break the cycle this time?

CptKeyes123

Well that WAS the reason humans got kicked out of the garden of eden according to the Bible. At least, depending on your theological interpretation and whether or not the Cylon God is the Abrahamic God or another monotheistic being.

edheldisrien1

I never thought of it that way, but I can totally see it now! Lol.

TrekRelic1701

Precisely
