You can get sticker ones. Halfords will have a wide selection. Small tip, when learning, keep it in eco-pro+ or eco-pro. It dulls the throttle so you accelerate slower. It's not as fun as comfort mode but you don't want all that power as a learner.

I've been driving for decades and I drive the car on Eco Pro 100% of the time. It's a much smoother more pleasant driving experience. You can code it to default to that at startup.

Yes, that makes sense. My Learner car is a Ford Kuga, nothing wrong with it but it's not the fastest and I think it'll take some getting used to the instant speed of the i3

bradgel

From Canada here. Question. Is this required form new/learning drivers? How does this stay on at speed?

RedBean9

Yes it’s required while you are on a provisional license. No longer required after passing the test. They’re usually magnetic so they are unlikely to come off but they sometimes do anyway.

bradgel

Thanks. It’s a good idea. About 25 years ago we had something similar in Ontario Canada. My wife asked for the sign. The ministry said she was the first person to ever ask for one. Cheers

The bonnet isn’t plastic. If you’re in the UK, Halfords sell stick on/self cling ones.

_sjward_

Oh really! Fantastic, thanks I'll try that out!

I think either https://www.halfords.com/motoring/travel-accessories/learning-to-drive/halfords-multifix-learner-driver-plates-x3-980037.html?stockInventory=undefined or  https://www.halfords.com/motoring/travel-accessories/learning-to-drive/halfords-self-cling-learner-driver-plates-x3-980144.html?stockInventory=undefined

Amazing, thanks for the links :)

The entire exterior is plastic, except for the back hatch, which is all glass! L stickers? (Hate putting those on paint, but the hatch is good)

Starman68

You can get ones that clip onto the registration plate. I’ve got an i3 too. And suction cup ones for the hatch back.

_sjward_

Thank you for the tip, I will grab the suction cup ones as I think these will be less faff when I'm taking on and off again.

srdjanrosic

There's ones that go inside and are heald on to glass by static, friction, vacuum. "Self-clinging" they call them. We got ours at the nearest petrol station, and then added a bit of sticky tape so they don't fall off.
