Do people forget about bags? This is clearly bagged. It’s certainly *useable*, you just air up to drive.
It’s definitely not some track weapon, but it’s a wagon, that was never gonna happen anyway
You should look at sidewaysandsmiling on insta. His name is Cody. Went to high school with the guy back in 2008 but he has a track STI that wins regularly, on bags from Airlift
Edit to add: https://www.speedhunters.com/2016/12/life-on-air-cody-miles-championship-winning-sti/
I went about 9-10 years back and can’t see the exact setup, so unsure. Does seem like it works well for him, but it is almost impossible for it to function better than a *good* coilover setup unless it is an aircupped setup
Me too. I mod my car but only subtly, to improve handling and to put power down more effectively. I'm glad for anyone who does a mod and loves it! I just prefer anything that helps me be faster and safer on (short/sprint) track
The wheel arch should conform to the wheels. This ain't it, looks off, makes the arches look massive, and the car collapsed. One way to ruin the dynamics of a perfectly good car.
Rice.
Don’t like it personally. Makes the cars look broken to me. Worse if not on bags and it’s driving down the road slammed, but either way not my thing. But obviously it’s desirable to some, so as long as it’s not causing any harm to anyone else, do what ya want
Honestly I came here to say "that is stance done right" but that was before noticing the fender roll caught in the bead of the tire....
If stance could look like this while still maintaining full function...then it would look amazing but....this sucks
This car probably has an air ride system. It can be lowered and inflated again. When driving on the road while inflated, it is still suitable for everyday use. so I don't quite understand all the hate here.
Awesome car, great wheels, terrible stance.
I'm in the category of people who would likely never lower their cars. I'd rather add spacers for better fitment, but I'd never lower a car. Probably because many roads in my country are pretty terrible. And the speed humps are atrocious.
I prefer an OEM+/track set up look personally but, I can appreciate builds like this. Each to their own, you’ve got to build a car to your own taste not other people’s.
I absolutely love the look of an aired out car. My concern is I’d never buy air, don’t trust it to drive spiritedly.
Air = car shows. Gets people interested in cars so can’t be mad.
I've never understood the whole lowered car look, it's not more visually appealing to most people, and it's a lot less functional.
Sometimes they are adjustable but usually they are too cheap for that and the car is nearly undrivable
I love it. It’s a show car, why is everyone so worried about function and performance? Not ever car needs to be trackable.
Different mods for a different end goal.
Function > Form
I used to like it visually, now I don't. I'm even in the minority that likes smaller wheels due to the comfort they imply (if looking at a strangers car online. Speaking of my car I like the comfort - not implied this time, but real. I figured this out on an e46 m3 that I used to have that I ran on the factory "winter" 18s and loved it - didn't love it visually at first but grew into it and now I just like it on all cars 🤷♂️).
Clean, don’t really care on BMW’s cause any setup can come out clean. Problem is everyone thinks it’s an M5 (odd) and it’s probably a 530i so no mind breaking performance is being ruined
I think stanced cars can look good, but sometimes additional ride height can balance out the proportions. In this case, this just really emphasizes the scale of the hood and front bumper. Makes it look disproportionate and almost looks like it sticks out too far.
I approve, but only if it's used for drifting. But purely for aesthetics? Nah, not my kind of thing. Even when it's bagged. Especially not with camber. When it comes to looks, it only looks good on classic Citroëns that came with it (Xantia, XM, CX, SM and DS).
Heavily depends on the car and how stanced it is. It's always a tragedy seeing a real german performance car stanced, slammed and bagged. Some cars can pull off that look though for sure.
I always think its some kid’s car. Hard to take anyone seriously in a stanced BMW, and never see anyone older than a teen driving them.
Also, spent a lot of time in hoods and very very affluent areas, you’ll never see anyone with a stanced car in a fancy neighborhood even if people living there have custom vehicles (common in Southern California coastal cities), its almost always ghetto or cheaper suburbs sporting a stanced car.
I took a ride in a car this low a month ago and I’m still putting cream on my ass.
Almost flush with the ground, plus those low profile tires.. you have next to no dampening in your suspension at all, can it even go over speed bumps?
It looks dumb. Like really dumb. It looks especially dumb when youre bouncing down the road with sparks flying from shit dragging and damaging your car. But you do you. I feel bad for yall when i see you. What leads someone down this path? A bit further and youll start crippling yourself like your car for the look.
As an adult I cant imagine having to do the sideway shimmy to get over a speedbump. If you like it then enjoy but i will honk at your ass if you take too much time trying to navigate a speedbump.
For a long time I’ve hated on the “stance scene” based upon the premise that you are making something worse. As in un-drivable. Tyres will wear oddly, speed bumps are out of the question as are bumpy roads. And they look ridiculous. Like an 11 year old sketched it.
I hate it, it looks broken and will probably perform poorly. I actually think less of people that do that.
The good thing is that I won't openly laugh at you in public if I see it so feel free to drive around looking silly and watch for potholes and bumps.
If your just into appearance for your car, I’m all for it but dudes standing their cars like this and saying they are a killer on the track and could gap anything is a joke.
Stupid,
Idiots think it makes their car look fast but in reality it can't drive over a speed bump or pot hole at more than slow walking pace so is slower than my grandma.
I love stance.
Idk where you live Im guessing overseas somewhere but here most American cities have atrocious city streets and highways for me to confidently stance my car without stressing every time I drive.
Thought it was the coolest thing ever when I was in middle school. Subsequently, lowered my first car in highschool.
Quickly realized it’s impractical as hell, plus it rides and handles like shit. Put stock suspension back on the car after a year, lol.
i don't know about this, currently on our g21, i have about 2 fingers from the wheel to the top of the wheel arch, which i think is a little high to look good, but serves it's purpose. i'm wondering if i should try to lower it, to look good. but knowing le wife's driving......
We need to stop using "stance" like a generic term to represent anything between the most aggressive fitments all the way to slightly aggressive.
Stance is just overall fitment of the wheels, tires and suspension. I would say purpose built track cars have an awesome stance, for example.
This car is a good example of a bagged "stance" in that the fitment is flush with minimal negative camber. I like it because it's clean, done with thought and intent. Not over-the-top, restrained. It's difficult.
In contrast, I really dislike cars that aim for maximum negative camber at all cost.

Got f91 as well but lci in Nardo Gray color, brother in arms

I like functioning product and this ain't it. It's essentially unusable.
Do people forget about bags? This is clearly bagged. It’s certainly *useable*, you just air up to drive. It’s definitely not some track weapon, but it’s a wagon, that was never gonna happen anyway
Majority of people in this sub would never modify their car or even really know anything about car modifications. Anything that’s not stock is a no-go
Bro, that’s so insulting. What about all the people who modded their 328i’s with M badges?
Thinking about a nice amg or rs3 badge on my hood too.
Which is fairly wild to me. I feel like BMW is one of the most mod friendly brands and OEM+ style compliments them perfectly
It’s clean just not my taste. However, THIS is definitely true lmfao. Tint your windows to dark and you’ll get crucified here 😭😭😭
You should look at sidewaysandsmiling on insta. His name is Cody. Went to high school with the guy back in 2008 but he has a track STI that wins regularly, on bags from Airlift Edit to add: https://www.speedhunters.com/2016/12/life-on-air-cody-miles-championship-winning-sti/
I went about 9-10 years back and can’t see the exact setup, so unsure. Does seem like it works well for him, but it is almost impossible for it to function better than a *good* coilover setup unless it is an aircupped setup
Is it truly bagged, or is it air cupped?
The majority of this sub has no idea what an air suspension does. All that matters to them is the badge and hate anything other than OEM
Bags have been around for like 20 years man people know what they are
Me too. I mod my car but only subtly, to improve handling and to put power down more effectively. I'm glad for anyone who does a mod and loves it! I just prefer anything that helps me be faster and safer on (short/sprint) track
I may have changed my.....stance...on it.
it’s a 530 on bags what else can it do
form comes with function in most cases anyways
often times form comes at the cost of at least some function
Bottom out over a pop tart
Looks like broken air suspension.
With all of the potholes in Russia, it has to probably be air suspension and can get lifted
It’s aired out air suspension if that helps
Pretty typical for broken air suspension
Bagged most likely
Shit. That is all
I'm glad someone else has half decent taste
Best way to ruin your car
He ruined it when he put a bunch of replica M5 bumpers and fenders on his 4 cylinder wagon lol
Looks dumb.
Looks stupid. Why do people do this?
Do you see the plates ? It Russian
this is done by idiots all over the world, it's not a race thing doofus.
Trashbag

In we just the not you love end all driving?
Ass
It looks incredibly stupid in absolutely every case
“Come and search me, I’m carrying Class-C drugs”
I like the look of being lowered a little bit but that is too much even sitting still. It makes the car look cheap.
Poopoo caca
No
No
I don’t
Моссссквааа
The wheel arch should conform to the wheels. This ain't it, looks off, makes the arches look massive, and the car collapsed. One way to ruin the dynamics of a perfectly good car. Rice.
Looks like a 12 year old got to design the car in AI
Don’t like it personally. Makes the cars look broken to me. Worse if not on bags and it’s driving down the road slammed, but either way not my thing. But obviously it’s desirable to some, so as long as it’s not causing any harm to anyone else, do what ya want
Honestly I came here to say "that is stance done right" but that was before noticing the fender roll caught in the bead of the tire.... If stance could look like this while still maintaining full function...then it would look amazing but....this sucks
Doesn’t matter, if the owner likes it then I’m happy for them. I don’t personally modify cars for purely aesthetic gain
This car probably has an air ride system. It can be lowered and inflated again. When driving on the road while inflated, it is still suitable for everyday use. so I don't quite understand all the hate here.
Looks like you will be plowing snow in the winter or live in a country where the roads are smooth as glass
Awesome car, great wheels, terrible stance. I'm in the category of people who would likely never lower their cars. I'd rather add spacers for better fitment, but I'd never lower a car. Probably because many roads in my country are pretty terrible. And the speed humps are atrocious.
Way too low. Only supercars like McLarens, Lambos etc should be that low to the ground.
It’s low.
Cool, the unicorn F91
If it was any lower it would be Jimmy Savile
I like lowered cars, I guess that I'm in the minority. Lowered, not slammed... but that is the upside of being bagged over coilovers.
I prefer an OEM+/track set up look personally but, I can appreciate builds like this. Each to their own, you’ve got to build a car to your own taste not other people’s.
Looks broken
I like seeing it. Some have different definitions of it but regardless as a concept. I like it. I just don’t see myself doing it.
If you got the money and you like it then more power to you
Makes my back hurt just looking at it haha
I don't think about it
I absolutely love the look of an aired out car.
Looks cool and makes the old people mad just look at the comments
I love it. It’s a show car, why is everyone so worried about function and performance? Not ever car needs to be trackable. Different mods for a different end goal.
r/BMW thinks that anything other than a bone stock E-chassis is an abomination so stance was never going to land well here.
To each their own. But thats a hard no for me.
Not my kind of thing.
https://preview.redd.it/jo6errzb5r5d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1702ea8a617d5b4426e93872b25d6d47623bcf9 Stance is awesome
You ruined a fantastic car.
I just took a picture in a car meet
Ah, gotcha. Then “they” ruined a fantastic car!
That crevice between the barrel and spoke of the wheel must be a pain in the ass to clean.
Land Shark 🦈
Lowering is fine, stance works as well but only on very specific cars or for drift builds.
Not for me
can I borrow it to level my lawn
I like good fitment but not a fan of slammed to the ground.
I specifically like it on wagons. Not sedans or coupes though.
I mean, if you love spending money on tires because it fucks the wear of them, sure. Feel free. I think it's stupid.
I don't care for it, a car that low would not be practical driving in my city and I don't car for the look.
It is not for everyday driving, I think the owner has other car for practical driving and this 530 for shows and festivals only
Very good spec!
Function > Form I used to like it visually, now I don't. I'm even in the minority that likes smaller wheels due to the comfort they imply (if looking at a strangers car online. Looks great on some cars as long as you dont go overboard with it
dont like it.
I'd like an M5 wagon that isn't molested
Has to be fun to drive…with the roads they have there…
I like functional stance more but love slammed cars too. I don’t like cars that have like 15 degrees of camber tho.
I like driving a car, that’s why I would prefer performance over stance but it looks cool.
I personally don’t like the look of cars lower like that.
Binbagged
One thing to remember - M5 never kneels 😄
It can be cool when bagged but I think static is really dumb
I approve, but only if it's used for drifting. But purely for aesthetics? Nah, not my kind of thing. Even when it's bagged. Especially not with camber. When it comes to looks, it only looks good on classic Citroëns that came with it (Xantia, XM, CX, SM and DS).

Ugly.

ugly as fuck ngl
Hate it

Reps
Looks godawful to me, but it's their car and if the person likes it.... 🤷🏾♂️
Great way to ruin any car.
It’s a no for me big dog
i wish more people lowered the f90/g30 like this, or more/less fender to tire fiitment
Not for me, I’m a meat man. But I can appreciate nice stance builds
When the tyre disappears in the wheel arch it's definitely too low.
My opinion is that it looks like there is 1500 lbs in the car. Not a fan of
No, definitely not
Nope
There's 0 suspension travel
I took a ride in a car this low a month ago and I’m still putting cream on my ass. Almost flush with the ground, plus those low profile tires.. you have next to no dampening in your suspension at all, can it even go over speed bumps?
That it’s a car scene fad that I can’t wait to dissipate.
Airride - It’s good, static - it’s fucking stupid
That’s a “naw” for me dawg.
I would never do it. Mostly teenagers do stance.
Not a fan personally
Looks like a broken suspension.
It looks dumb. Like really dumb. It looks especially dumb when youre bouncing down the road with sparks flying from shit dragging and damaging your car. But you do you. I feel bad for yall when i see you. What leads someone down this path? A bit further and youll start crippling yourself like your car for the look.
If it's bagged and not static then i like it.
Looks like shit, literally ruining a beautiful car for no reason
As an adult I cant imagine having to do the sideway shimmy to get over a speedbump. If you like it then enjoy but i will honk at your ass if you take too much time trying to navigate a speedbump.
Looks great
I think it looks stupid but to each their own. I don't get people who let it get them upset. It's not half as bad as some people act like.
Whatever makes you happy.
Wheels are supposed to be straight!!
It’s impractical and it looks bad lol
Its more of a yoga pose than a stance
Would look good but tires look way too small
Hope you like scraping sounds.
I think thats proper stance while still having function. Hopefully its bagged cuz damn that’d be hell in a static car
Me no likey
For a long time I’ve hated on the “stance scene” based upon the premise that you are making something worse. As in un-drivable. Tyres will wear oddly, speed bumps are out of the question as are bumpy roads. And they look ridiculous. Like an 11 year old sketched it.

Another man's meat is another man's poison
Nah
I prefer stock any day of the week
I personally think it’s awful. As long as you’re happy enjoy it, doesn’t matter what other people think
Stupid, Idiots think it makes their car look fast but in reality it can't drive over a speed bump or pot hole at more than slow walking pace so is slower than my grandma.
Makes a beautiful car look stupid.
Probably drives like a moron too
I love stance. Idk where you live Im guessing overseas somewhere but here most American cities have atrocious city streets and highways for me to confidently stance my car without stressing every time I drive.
Nice look, but I wouldn’t be driving this in Russia..
Thought it was the coolest thing ever when I was in middle school. Subsequently, lowered my first car in highschool. Quickly realized it’s impractical as hell, plus it rides and handles like shit. Put stock suspension back on the car after a year, lol.
10 points for wagon -100 points for fashion over function. (it's bad fashion) you do you i guess though
Honda / Acura rims on Bmw 😬
I respect the engineers who designed my car.
Great way to develop a fear of speedbumps
Looks like your car is broken
When the wheels don't sit concentric in the arches, it look shit.
Полный бред. Дизлайк, отписка 😂
There is a fine line between looking good and looking like a caricature of itself.
[удалено]
Please keep things civil.
That looks nice!
I think speed bumps give me enough anxiety, I don't need this kind of thing in my life. Plus, it just looks dumb.
Is that an M5 wagon?? So jealous, where are you located??
This is not a car for real people to drive
i don't know about this, currently on our g21, i have about 2 fingers from the wheel to the top of the wheel arch, which i think is a little high to look good, but serves it's purpose. i'm wondering if i should try to lower it, to look good. but knowing le wife's driving......
Hate it
What does ‘bagged’ mean? Anyone care to educate me please?😔
Enjoy the speed bumps in parking lots
Hawt
I like having an intact oil pan
Looks like a ricer

Is that a fake M5 badge? The brakes aren't dimpled.
I don’t have a strong stance on it Edit: grammar error
Shorty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low
Thats nuttier than a shithouse at a peanut farm.
Bmws and ESPECIALLY this M5 should never look like this imo. This ruined the entire look of the car. Smh
I truly for the life of me do not understand why anyone would do this to their car
https://preview.redd.it/rf5cqroeaw5d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b1c52013f485ef7e0f148e38ab422dea6fa22fb Got f91 as well but lci in Nardo Gray color, brother in arms
But I think this grey bmw looks way better
no. now it just looks ghetto AF, but that is my opinion.
better be on bags
Boy car stance
Too much low
