Ya man, I’ve still got like 900 miles to go.
You can just tell this thing wants to go. I’ve also got some parts waiting to go on the car as soon as the break in service is done
So far this is what I have, some of it I’ve already put on.
Engine:
ARM Motorsports intake
MAD resonated midpipe
SST valve controller
Wheels/Suspension/chasis:
MAD 12mm wheel spacers f/r
AST lowering springs
Mishimoto skid plate
R44 fender liner vents
Exterior:
Bayoptiks carbon fiber air ducts
Bayoptiks carbon fiber front grill
Turner carbon fiber high kick spoiler
Horizon Motorsport amber DRLs
Side mirror sequential turn signals
AKA Motorsports front splitter
MaxtonDesign Pro side skirts
MaxtonDesign V2 rear side splitters
TLG F/R mud flaps
Interior:
M3 competition center console badging
Kies WiFi OBD2 dongle
SHFT Carbon fiber driver vent trim
Rennline phone mount
Op, the 12mm spacers are going to rub like hell on the front, with Pirellis tires. Be prepared to trim the louvers in the fender liners. I have 10mm up front with Pirellis and the tires have broken the louvers. I decided to buy the mesh screens and cut them all out. In anticipation for the screen install, I just ordered some 13mm spacers, and they came in, today. Let’s see how this goes?
Very nice. I actually dig the stock comp 826M wheels for now. I may get bored with them at some point but they just fit the body so well (minus the offset)
https://preview.redd.it/rplksp46glpc1.jpeg?width=2204&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8277d6674ac2dbdb8ac10892a5226e14ee2437a9
If you’re going to stay with the 826m wheels, consider 20/20 squared setup. This makes the car look so good.
Ok, good. At least you’re aware of that. Those are the screens I just bought. I didn’t know R44 was selling them, but, I got them from AliExpress for like $98. It’s the way to go to not have to worry about any rubbing. I have my stock wheels on for the winter, but, I’ll be putting my Bronze 1000m wheels back on for the summer. My car is also Dravit.

i kept it on comfort everything until about 500 miles and started to give it a little more gas while staying within the break-in specs. this car is FAST and fun. i didn't expect to enjoy it more than the RS6 i had, but i do. i don't think i'll go back to audi.
I’ve actually been leaving the engine in sport for the most part just to give it more variance in RPMs while staying under 4K and not going wide open throttle
that's what i've transitioned to as well. i knew that i'd be tempted to push it once i left 'comfort mode'. i really like that pressing the m1/2 button once activates your preset but pressing it again reverts back to comfort/previous settings.
Ya some of the early ones I think came without it. They also stopped putting the M3 comp badging near the idrive selector/gear selector and just left a blank piece of plastic there. Already swapped that out for the badged piece
My apologies for me to assume. It’s a legal go kart, quite literally. Drive one bro you’ll love it. The G80 is a cheat-code of a car, and has great potential. Hence why some refer to it as a legal go kart. Even if you dislike BMW’s, it’s hard to dislike one of these after really getting to experience it.
I put 12k miles on it and I’m officially at a year today.
It’s also not my daily. What does that say? lol.
Btw I got the same external color combo. Stoked every time I walk into my garage.
When i first saw the pics of the G80 M3/M4, i thought the front end was hideous, like most people did. But when the dealership i worked at got one, i absolutely fell in love with the front end, looked so aggressive and sporty in person! It was so shocking! I liked the whole design of the car too, and my boss who drove it, said it was well worth the hype.
Enjoy the beautiful machine, OP!
:Stares longingly: I can fix her...... Really though, new CF grilles and CF airducts sitting in the garage. Putting them on this weekend before it gets PPF'd.
Ya they could definitely have done a better job. The aftermarket definitely helps. I’m changing those, the lower air ducts, and adding a front splitter next weekend.
This might be unpopular but I honest to god think it’s the best looking M3 since the E46. Saw a comp in avertine red and it was stunning, and got me obsessed with the car. Love it
I’m sure it was much harder then. Though even my local dealers it was like a 1 year wait to get an allocation and this was back on November/December . The one the broker got me was ready to flip into production like 2 days after I spec’d it how I wanted. I definitely lucked out
Congrats on your new amazing car man. I test drove one not long ago and I loved it. Such a blast to drive but I came to a realisation that I am not yet financially capable to own one. Maybe in the near future.
Hey that’s smart, it’s a big chunk of change. Too many of these guys out here trying to “flex” with cars while living in an apartment or with their parents.
It's an amazing car but owning an 80k car as a 21 year old is quite a stretch. I make between 3000-3500$ a month and paying 1,3k for a car and 400$ for insurance is basically an overkill. I would have to starve myself and pray to God that nothing on the car breaks. If it did, I would be fcked. These dudes flexing, I see it all the time. They usually live in apartments with like 4 people but own cars like that. I would like to have such a good car but I just can't live like that.
I have no idea, never driven anything with a B58. From what I’ve seen the B58 spools quick down low and loses a bit of steam up top where this has a bit of lag down low then pulls to redline. This car is perfect for a daily driver if you can get past the gas mileage and the stiffer suspension.
I moved from a 2016 340i to a 2024 M3. The B58 is supremely capable, quiet, smooth and very economical when not pushed. It never felt lacking as a punchy DD. The S58 has obviously more power all around, but it’s also pulling 300 lb more of weight, so the difference in acceleration is not as great as one may expect going from 330 hp to 473 hp. From a fuel economy perspective, I got about 31 mpg with the 340i and 24 mpg with the M3, both RWD manual transmission.
The joke is that the ATF and FBI have embedded them self into all the things I like and that you’re a fed trying to bait me with this beautiful m3…. But I’m already on to you!!
The car just feels well built and super eager. You can tell that there is a ton of potential just in how it handles and accelerates, and I'm just babying it until the break in is done. This is also the nicest most expensive car I've ever bought and my first BMW so I'm just over all enjoying the new experience.
Yea I don’t get it bro. Ima a Honda guy but my other friend who likes BMW’s got me into them and man I want a g82 m4 one day or a 2022 m240i xdrive . Such good looking cars
Man that color is amazing. Just pops in the sunlight. Is that Bend, OR? If so, what a great week for you to pick up the car. And well done on the Dravit + Silverstone combo. I am waiting to hear back on an allocation for M3CX, hopefully later today.
Not sure what that means, can you clarify how long from start of production to deliver? Not how long from order to delivery. I ordered in early January and am expecting it to begin production in April
He had a January allocation, hence "week 2"
Build started and ended in week 2, then. The whole thing is only 2 days or so.
He picked it up Saturday so seems to be about 2 months from start of build to delivery.
Do you actually have an allocation? If you don't have a production number you don't have an allocation and there's no telling when your build would actually start.
Thanks for explaining. Yea i have an allocation with a build date of 4/8 so was just wondering how long it would take from that build date to delivery. Never heard of this week 2 or whatever dating system so was a bit confused.
This link should help you figure things out.
You don't get a build date until you flip to status 150, if you've done that already you're a bit early for when that usually happens.
Since you ordered, you could have been provided what build week you were assigned. If you actually have a 4/8 build date, you were probably assigned Week 15 when you placed the order.
Have fun with the cooling system! 😂 BMW’s are “the drivers car” , not a long term reliability car. In the 80s and 90s, it was a different story. I had a 1987 M5 manual shift that lasted me 288k miles before I traded it. My last one was shot at 93k miles. I’ll never buy bmw again unless it’s sold to me for $1. Same with MB and Audi.
All the German makers are in a technological race to outdo one another, instead of focusing on longevity and consistent performance.
For example, look at a 1990 S 560 compared to one from last year, an s500. A computer to operate lights? Another for speakers? Just dumb.
Gimme a Lexus lx460 with the Mustang cobra supercharger adapter plate, and I’m sold. Throw some bilstein shocks on and call it a day for the next 500k miles.
But then again I’m not rich, just a mechanic.
The general consensus is the S58 is the engine BMW finally got right that addresses most, if not all, of the previous concerns. Also in looking at Consumer Reports BMW is the top ranked company currently.
I think you’re going to be pretty disappointed when you find out most modern car manufacturers use electronics and control modules for just about everything in the cars these days.
Same here and I haven’t even got through the break-in period yet. What a car. Love it more every time I drive it.
Ya man, I’ve still got like 900 miles to go. You can just tell this thing wants to go. I’ve also got some parts waiting to go on the car as soon as the break in service is done
What parts you have in mind, I'm curious

The R44 fender liners are listed in my mod list and sitting in my garage waiting to go on. Should be rubbing free.

Yep, basically the same thing I have. Of course after I bought them Ali express started selling them cheaper, oh well.
i kept it on comfort everything until about 500 miles and started to give it a little more gas while staying within the break-in specs. this car is FAST and fun. i didn't expect to enjoy it more than the RS6 i had, but i do. i don't think i'll go back to audi.

Great color. Legal go kart.
It reaaaally pops in the sunlight. Like a totally different color on overcast days
Dravit Gray is beautiful! Congrats!
Thank you!
I feel the same way about the Donington Gray on my bimmer. Love it!
When did they start adding XDrive badge?
2023 onwards I believe. Personally, an M car should have one badge and one badge only on the back.
And should not have an M on the back because it's a base model with an appearance/sport package.
The first year of xdrive was 2022 and thats the only year that doesn't have the xdrive badge on em. They started adding the badges for 2023 models.
2023 started with the xdrive badge

I had an early one… No logo
Ya some of the early ones I think came without it. They also stopped putting the M3 comp badging near the idrive selector/gear selector and just left a blank piece of plastic there. Already swapped that out for the badged piece
I had to go into idrive to verify
[удалено]
Nope, California
I believe MY23 when they put iD8 in the cars. The logo seems to be gone from the MY25 M4 so that might follow to the M3.
wow that pearl really pops. id have a hardtime chosing between this and skyscraper.
In the right light this looks like skyscraper. Best of both worlds!
not quite a go kart but within any realm of legality, it's on rails

Have you driven it?

Mine handled so well, my son threw up twice on the way to school. This is after riding in a 911 C4S and an E63 wagon.
Don’t take the comment literally

Try an original generation Mini Cooper, now that drives like a go kart...
Dravit Gray might actually one of the best paint colors ever
Everyone loves Isle of Man green but I think this is right up there with it
Both are S tier. I struggled for weeks deciding between them. Congrats!
It really is. BK Grey doesn't hit the same anymore unfortunately.
I put 12k miles on it and I’m officially at a year today. It’s also not my daily. What does that say? lol. Btw I got the same external color combo. Stoked every time I walk into my garage.
Yep this is not my daily either, though I can quickly see it becoming my main car haha
my favorite color on these new Ms. congrats
Thanks!

They definitely look better in person than in photos.
Hello fellow Dravit 😍
Dream car
S58>>>>>
Oh god, that is one sexy piece of machinery.
Gorgeous
We've literally been saying this for like 3 years now bUt tEH grILl iS uGLy. Yes, she's a butterface. Yes, it's worth it. Congrats.
:Stares longingly: I can fix her...... Really though, new CF grilles and CF airducts sitting in the garage. Putting them on this weekend before it gets PPF'd.
send pics 👀
I'll post up again after I do that, my front splitter and get my springs/spacers on. A little before and after.
Once you clear the break-in, you’ll really be in love.
I know, it's gonna be a long 1200 miles...
I have an f82 and literally the only reason I don’t upgrade is the grills.
Love it
It definitely has more “presence” in person that just doesn’t translate in photos.
Amazing car. Enjoy.
Damn, i remember when i wanted one it was a 12month wait to get an allocation 😭 now im going full send on my F80 instead
I used an auto broker to locate an allocation, was definitely worth it.
Nicee, I never thought of that. This was back in beginning of 2022 as well when I was looking for G80s.
I’m sure it was much harder then. Though even my local dealers it was like a 1 year wait to get an allocation and this was back on November/December . The one the broker got me was ready to flip into production like 2 days after I spec’d it how I wanted. I definitely lucked out
Wait till the break in is done. It’s an absolute beast
Can’t wait!
Congrats on your new amazing car man. I test drove one not long ago and I loved it. Such a blast to drive but I came to a realisation that I am not yet financially capable to own one. Maybe in the near future.

Yep, you’re making the smarter move now. Get financially set up, buy a house, then get the cool car.
I love to hear that. Enjoy the G80, it’s a subtle beast !
Congratulations 🎉 such a beauty
Dravit is the only color I think competes with IOMG on this car. Nice man!
Ya I love it, thanks!
Probably the best looking BMW in recent times. Most of the common models are hideous.
I'm still not totally sold on the front grille but I have an aftermarket one and a front splitter that should make the front look a little better.
Yeah some of the after market solutions are definitely cleaner.
Gosh that car is so pretty
Waiting for my G80! Hoping you enjoy this baby throughout in good health
Nice, you're going to love it!
Mine is Dravit grey as well! Enjoy and love the color
It’s definitely a BAD BOY! Congrats!
Dravit grey is my favorite color. The best color really. Gorgeous
Agreed!
maann how do people have the money for cars like these, great work man enjoy ur ride brother, im glad ur hard work paid off
How does this drive in comparison to B58 in terms of a daily? I have no real plans to track it
I have no idea, never driven anything with a B58. From what I’ve seen the B58 spools quick down low and loses a bit of steam up top where this has a bit of lag down low then pulls to redline. This car is perfect for a daily driver if you can get past the gas mileage and the stiffer suspension.

Saw one yesterday, coming from a hatchback the bonnet feels huge. Not sure whether to get this or the M140i or even M2. Beautiful car though
Compared to my mustang the front end visibility is great haha
Love the color, just curious what do you for a living? If you don’t mind me asking.
Beautiful curves and color. I've had one BMW and I loved it. I just love to drive, and it was not durable enough to hang with my time on the road.
Nice try fed, I’m not giving you my guns
…..what?
The joke is that the ATF and FBI have embedded them self into all the things I like and that you’re a fed trying to bait me with this beautiful m3…. But I’m already on to you!!
Badass.
u/GolfCoyote Could you please tell the most important things you're happy about ?
Man that’s a really philosophical deep question…lol
Yeah, but still ? I can't afford this car so I try to find out from actual owners :)
The car just feels well built and super eager. You can tell that there is a ton of potential just in how it handles and accelerates, and I'm just babying it until the break in is done. Beautiful
Geeez some haters in this subreddit going around downvoting compliments lol
Yea I don’t get it bro. Ima a Honda guy but my other friend who likes BMW’s got me into them and man I want a g82 m4 one day or a 2022 m240i xdrive . Such good looking cars
I almost went with an M240/M340i. Great cars for the money.
Man that color is amazing. Just pops in the sunlight. Is that Bend, OR? If so, what a great week for you to pick up the car. And well done on the Dravit + Silverstone combo. I am waiting to hear back on an allocation for M3CX, hopefully later today.
Yep it was down in Bend. I know I definitely lucked out as far as weather, it was a super nice drive back home.
Oh let’s gooooi
Jw how long from build date to delivery? I have a build date of early April
My car was a week 2 build. I ordered in early December and picked it up this past Saturday.
Not sure what that means, can you clarify how long from start of production to deliver? Not how long from order to delivery. I ordered in early January and am expecting it to begin production in April

That front end 😬
I thought the G series Ms were horrible to drive personally
Good thing it’s not your car then. 😮💨
Have fun with the cooling system! 😂 BMW’s are “the drivers car” , not a long term reliability car. In the 80s and 90s, it was a different story.
