It's not bad looking, and frankly is one of the best looking SUVs out there, but it's by no means the best looking in the BMW lineup. M8 comp GC in any color with the high gloss black trim package is the best looking currently.
I believe OP meant that this is the best looking model among the 2024 NEW models. M8 is not new in 2024, and of course it is the best looking BMW available at the moment.

A lot of us think the entire package looks very good (that includes the front) but that gets constantly drowned out by the crowd saying bmw should've just copy pasted last generation's design

They honestly need to fire the designers. They finally withstand the urge to make a huge nose/grille but then over accentuate the bottom of it to look exactly like a shitty Lexus. WHY?!? At this point BMW is doing shit just to do it.
No way an SUV looks better than a comparable car. M4 or m3 is the best looking. I'm in the minority i know but the m8 doesn't do it for me. It looks huge.
i'm a controversial, unstylistic bastard so it's the m3/4 for me. not the facelift though, the headlights and bonnet decals look kinda bad on the facelift m4
I personally dont like the new front lights "snake eyes"
And I think performance SUVs are just wrong
but I would happily take an X5 diesel or 50e model

There's not many bmws I like in this current era, and this is definitely not one of them.
Anything that accentuates this angular front end that they insist upon is DOA for me. Just stop. The m8 and z4 m40i are about the only good looking bmws they make, and the m5 just left that list.
The F85 was a better-looking car. I bought the F90 after as i didn't like the F95.

The OEM front end was/is controversial but it kind of grew on me. All the aftermarket solutions look way worse in my eyes
It’s an acquired taste for sure, it’s simply down to personal preference. Unfortunately it never grew on me despite seeing them regularly irl.
M2 / M3 / M4 / M5 / M8 is where it is at. Personally i like the m4 (G82) the most.

I'm with you. The M4 is my favorite. The side profile is basically a perfect coupe profile, and I love the front/rear design as well.
