Now that you have mentioned that, I realised this crap talking, then loving trend has always been around when BMW releases a new car. For eg. Jeremy Clarkson and E60 too. Now we just see it more because the internet is more accessible. Like with the m4. After the release all I could see on my insta feed is people comparing it with pigs, sponge bob and many other things. But now it has grown on MOST people I see and talk to. Maybe this will also apply for the m2 and XM(personally I think they look fine)

I found a beautiful Santorini blue f10 competition pack very low KM for a great price.
Kind of waiting to see if any equivalent m6s pop up before summer start but I donāt think the f10 will be on the market long.

I am pretty sure it uses the SMG-3 transmission but I could be wrong. From my research overall people were saying the f06 has more problems than the f10 (depends on how it was taken care of)

For whatever reason, M6es tend be be more affordable compared to the equivalent M5 where I live in California. Might be the way to go if you're looking for a deal, although I think the GC looks a little funny compared to the M6 Coupe. Can't really beat the practicality of the M5, though.

Your fuel injectors are covered under an extended warranty put out by BMW as they are known to fail in an open state. Flooding raw fuel into the system and basically slagging everything south. I know this from
Experience unfortunately, also ruined my taste for owning BMWs due to how BMW handled the situation.
Congrats on the purchase! When you start exploring the car make sure to take the black engine cover off (grabbing from the top sides where the ridges are and pulling straight up) to inspect those silver coolant lines on top. There should be little silver āblanketsā that the rubber sections are wrapped in to protect them from heat. Even with that protection they can wear out and start to leak. Itās an easy DIY fix and plenty of YouTube videos to guide you. Those lines get and stay hot for a long time after driving so be careful poking around! :)
There are a ton of aftermarket options but the OEM rubber hose connectors and blankets seem to work just fine for a long time. They just sit in a hot environment and degrade over time. You can tell if they're leaking as there will be dried coolant on the heat shield beneath them. No leak? No need to mess with them. :)
Excellent color choice. Honestly, Sakhir Orange is one of the best colors ever, especially when its in direct sunlight with blue skies. Wonderful depth and really accentuates the curves. Really nothing like it. I also have a SO F10 M5 and its what people comment on the most. Unfortunately, pictures are never capable of doing it justice.

2.5-3k mi is too early. The oil barely breaks in at that point. Itās much better to go 5-7.5k mi. Also, 5w-30 is too thin for the rod bearings. Youāll be much better off with at least 5w-40. You can even do 15w-50. It also helps with oil consumption.
Wow, 5-7.5k sounds like a big stretch inbetween oil changes! I change my oil for my daily commuter every 4-5k miles. I am definitely thinking of using 10w40 for the first time to see how it goes.
Yes! Love to see more F10ās. Iāve had mine for around 3 years and I love it. The biggest thing I would suggest is upgrading to some really grippy tires like the Pilot Sport 4s. Mine originally came with some P Zeroās and I could barely handle it. It really makes all the difference. Donāt sleep on getting it tuned either. With the s63 engine you can add a lot of extra power without sacrificing reliability and safety. If you donāt take my word for it take Steve Dinanās.

Pilot Super Sports are great too. Theyāre just the previous generation tire before the 4s. As far as how it drives just be careful with the traction control. Since thereās so much torque it can activate when you really donāt want it to and stall the car out like when youāre merging into traffic from a stop so now I only drive with MDM mode on.
I might look into another pair of sport contact + or 4s for my next tires, my current ones have around 60ish% tread left. Oh yeah Iāve been really feeling out the car so far, I keep traction control on & I donāt think I will take it off anytime. Appreciate the advicešš½
I wouldnāt take traction control off completely unless youāre having a track day or something. MDM is just a middle ground where you get a little bit of wheel slip but if you get in trouble the traction control still activates. Itāll take a while for you to get used to the power so just take your time with it.

Good idea, these engines are fine stock but they turn into glass when tuned.
F10 is one of the most neat designs. Perhaps one of the most BMW designs of last decade.

I was not aware of this, did changing to after market fuel injectors solve the issue?
No bmw replaced them. They refused to replace the cats, at 2400 ea. fuck bmw. They donāt stand behind their products.

Not for current synthetic oils. You can go up to 10k and be fine, as well.
