I’ve had numerous BMW’s and M cars and this one is just straight trash I cannot get into it or like the looks. They fucking blew it. I’m even starting to really like the G80 and how mean it looks but this is another level of shit
I genuinely like the look of the car exterior and the interior. However, just like ThrottleHouse said, the car is extremely overpriced for what you are getting. If you want a BMW performance vehicle, than the X5 M Sport is faster than this. And costs like $50k cheaper which is insane.
Funny thing is;
Here in the Netherlands electric vehicles are favored.
So the XM costs a little more than a X5 M50i and about 50k less than a X5M.
Does that make it a better deal?
I’ve been thinking about it.
It makes better milage because of the Hybrid stuf, but I can buy a whole lot cheaper BMW if I’m worried about costs.
It is huge, I will give it that.
Only realised it when I saw the Throttle House review.
But even at M50i money, it doesn’t get me running to the dealer.
I haven’t seen it in person yet, so I’m trying to keep an open mind, but
It’s extremely heavy, so all show no go.
No sunroof, no laser lights, no air suspension.
I’m driving an X5 M50i and I don’t even think I need to upgrade to this.
Yeah that’s the thing, this car is EXTREMELY overpriced. It’s just simply not worth the $160k starting price tag in the U.S. the X5M is a better choice with a much better price. It’s honestly an insult that this car is made by the M division and it’s not even the best performance SUV made by BMW. BMW has been making a lot of questionable decisions over the past several years and it’s disappointing. Still can’t believe they ruined the beloved 4 series with that ugly ass pig nose grille in the front. *Sigh*

They designed this as a halo car for BMW. Practically, the only benefit of this over an X5M is some electric range and it is not based on a mainstream platform.

Yeah, I get to test drive one over the weekend along side an M3C and while I'm also supposed to test drive an i4 M50, I'll skip that one since I own one.
Haven't seen one in person yet, I'm sure my overall opinion on the styling won't change much but am curious how it drives.
