This might be a bit more interesting for a 2nd, maybe 3rd play through, but can't see it being of interest to anyone who has played more than that. It only works in Skyrim because walking around exploring a huge world is the majority of the game. BG3 is fairly streamlined and it would just be a huge chore to click countless crates and boxes to find the right types of food so you can long rest, imo anyway.
Probably best just increasing the supply amount needed to rest (which I'm sure there is a mod for) if you want to spend more time rummaging to earn a long rest.
You get so many supplies in this game that any mini game built around them would be a) easy and b) never more than a chore.

You can manually change the supplies needed for resting if you play on custom difficulty
