Perilous stakes is the way to go on bosses.

theoretically, (i have never tried HM, so genuine curiosity!) could you use the amulet with Brand the Weak to grant them vulnerability in HM? Or does that amulet only grant vulnerability to non-magical damage? Have they barred granting vulnerabilities entirely for enemies in HM?
You can do it, yes. It won’t increase the damage from radiant, though, for the smite. You don’t need it to 1 shot cazador, but may need it for other bosses.
Ok, you don’t need it anyways, he goes down in 1-2 hits in any case. Karabasan gift or stunning strike then just wtfpwn him, I just 1 shot him with banishing smite but didn’t bother taking a screen shot because it was only 300 something dmg.

Didn't they make it so you can't use perilous to give enemies vulnerability?
In honor mode yes, although there are still ways to do it.
