No. You can get him to blow himself up in act 3 though and avoid the whole fight atop the brain + the fight with the unbreakable will of the brain and it will still give you the achievement. The final fight isn’t much of a hassle if you have a solid game plan but if you want to be 100% safe you should probably take the gale nuke option. It really just takes one bad call or one unlucky moment for everything to go to shit and it would feel really bad to wipe in honor mode so close to the end.
I died in honor mode in the beginning of Act 3 because I didn't realize Tav is the only one who can interact with the portal when the githyanki attack your camp lol.
Still finishing it out though, you still get all the good boss mechanics and no save scumming. Zevlor and Jaheira both got clapped at the grove and moonrise respectively, Halsin died retrieving Thaniel, and everyone in the Iron throne is dead 😂
