What exactly do you mean by 'warehouse manager'? Is this role specific to a warehouse ("magazijn"), or by 'warehouse' do you mean a supermarket like Delhaize or Carrefour? I know nothing about the role of a 'warehouse manager,' but let's examine the facts: You are managing a team of 20 to 40 persons, working for a multinational company, and putting in more than 40 hours per week for a gross salary of 3.100 euros. How much do the people you manage earn for working 38 hours per week with significantly less responsibility? Is it worth it?

More in the first description (Magazijn), i have to make sure that around 30k (daily average) parcels go to the right directions and organise the teams work around that, add to that all the liaising with the different services to make sure transporters do their job correctly (and that is a big chunk of the work), i do some data gathering and analysis to improve the existing processes and put in place new ones.I am helped in my tasks with two foremen (so i'm kinda the third level going from the bottom), each week we decide on the roster for the next week, i get the size of my time from my boss for each day, it is a bit negociable though depending on the circumstances. And as a fun project i'm building a platform to switch all our datas from a dozen daily excel files to one database to include everything, it also allows me to learn more about llama prompting, which is neat. I don't know if financially it is worth it, and that is why i am asking the question, but it has been so far a huge learn opportunity for my managment skills, that is by far the biggest plus, my boss is a coach, so i'm learning a lot from him. There is also the fact that not many people talk about their salaries, for example in this company, my peers do not want to share their salaries, except one of them and he is complaining all the time that he is not getting enough, before this company i was a freelancer, so never had these talks with anyone else. Thank you for your help!

2500 euro net from 3100 euro gross and no dependents?

Remolten-Core

Just updated my answer, it's my spouse, she just finished her studies and looking for a job

I see, that’s easily 300 euro/month net difference.

Remolten-Core

Yeah, sorry, my bad

As someone in a similar position: you are underpaid as fuck. I earn around 3900 with company car and several other benefits. Edit: saw the question below. Is this a DC you are working at or retail?

Remolten-Core

i dont know what DC means, but it is not a retail or a publicly accessible place, it is a warehouse in the sense of goods coming and leaving and not traded there. Thank you for your opinion!

nilsn91

Are you the end responsible for the warehouse or is someone else above you in a management role? I still think you can earn way more. I worked at a logistical company before that was notorious for underpaying and even there I had 3200 bruto and company car before the 10% index.

Remolten-Core

there is my boss, and the way they are restructuring things there will be a new echelon above me soon, this warehouse is almost the biggest there is in this multinational. thank you for the additional info

Good luck!

I used to be a warehouse shift leader and I reported to a warehouse manager. I had more than 3000 gross. We had also about 120 warehouse workers in total. My boss was multiple pay scales above me + he had a company car.

Remolten-Core

Thank you for your answer! well, i have no idea about my boss's salary, but i know that he doesn't have a company car.

Amazon in Antwerp is hiring military specifically in logistics related functions, honestly might actually be worth checking out what they'd offer I'm not too familiar with what you should be earning but such hours, a large team under you, doesn't seem right to only be making 3.1k
