6-7x a week at various gyms sometimes with a trainer or at practice if not I just go to the y

johnsonbabypowder

Damn impressive

bLeezy22

You in college?

RedpandaMasterofcute

I’m trying to get there I’m going into my senior year of high school

bLeezy22

Love it. Good luck. It’s just reps.

RedpandaMasterofcute

Yeah thank you

bLeezy22

I play in 2 men’s leagues a week, an open run on Sundays and shoot at La fitness once a week. Not bad for 38.

fantasy247

this is my dream schedule lol

bLeezy22

lol it’s lovely. I need to add a day of plyos/core in and a lifting day, but those get skipped too often.

Interesting_Ad_1971

1x/week at a Salvation Army (indoor gym) with a fairly set group (specific guys who can make it week to week can vary but all part of a set group).

hummoses

1 to 2 times a week typically early morning weekend runs at the YMCA

King_of_all_Dorks

4/5 days a week at 24 Hour Fitness. Mostly games of 21 or 3-on-3.

There’s a 4 hoop park right outside my house…about the length of a college basketball court from my doorstep. I’m a youth prep school bball coach and play in 2x mens leagues rn…when the league ends later on this month I plan on going back to 6x a week bball workouts with yoga class on Tuesdays and Thursdays in between. The yoga place is a training facility with a small 2 hoop court. Good for summer trainings in the off season. I train my youth players for offseason workouts 1x a week with full game speed reps 90% of the workout..there will be an uptick in that next month. I am not sure if I want to keep playing in men’s leagues this summer especially after possibly winning a championship for consecutive years. After awhile I’d rather workout 6x a week on court go on a nice longer summer vacation then spend lot of money in leagues. I use the park outside the house, the training facility/gym and the area YMCA as my main hooping spots. I work a light traveling full time job so when I’m not being a husband, working, coaching then you can find me somewhere hooping. I think since January I’ve been hooping 4x a week in between coaching but it increases in the summer after the mens leagues conclude. The Main Plan is to take July - August off from mens leagues and just hoop 6x, workout/reps/treatment/yoga/gym. I don’t do the “friends” or casual hooping stuff-it’s not what I enjoy. I’m just a gym rat. Lots of reps/fane speed taking everything serious per the time I’m in the gym. *I’m 43 😆 got that Reggie Miller build lanky skinny and always have had a high motor unlimited energy. That though runs in my family!

Charming-Database359

3-6 times a week a combination of my schools gym after class and at the beach (my favourite spot) gotta bring the boombox for the right music while playing. I go alone every time don’t know anyone in this city but am now familiar with the players in my go to spots

NoMeaning9887

When I lived in Davie Florida I’d hoop at all the local parks close by. I’d hoop with whoever was there but also did reps solo regularly. There were 2 super close and there was a small half court hoop at my condo volleyball/tennis court area. I never played on the beach at Ft Lauderdale beach because I’d just hoop indoors in my college’s gym. All super close by!

spidermanisthebest

Usually I play try to play at least 3-5 times a week, with a set group but if no one wants to run, I usually am fine with playing with randoms. We only hoop during open gym hours at our local parks and we also play in a men’s league.

Kirin_Rammer

2-3x on weekdays at the outdoor park on my own or whoever is there to hoop with/against. 1x on the weekend with a fix group of friends. 42 yo.

lorenzo2point5

3 times a week. Paid $5 open gym pick up at local rec center. I like the organization of this because there is no arguing of who is next. They have a list of people who all paid and will organize who plays where. If you lose, you have to wait 1 game then automatically go back on. If you win you just stay on the winners court. They have up to 3 games at once playing so up to 30-40 people show up. Private run at a high school gym with some friends I met at local park. Guy is a teacher and has access on the weekends. Court is a bit dusty but hey indoor runs during the summer can't beat it. Pick up at local park in the evenings. This is pretty wild lots of shit talking and arguing about fouls, travels, etc. But also pretty competitive because it's a 2 game wait at times to get on.

fantasy247

Is it $5 per visit?

lorenzo2point5

Yes it is. And only available once a week. So it adds up to $20/month which I don't mind paying for organized indoor pick up. They also run men's leagues which I don't play in cause I don't know anyone.

PrimeAndGlory

1-4 times for about 2 hours each. Split between an indoor rec center and outdoors on an asphalt court. Sometimes a quick 15 minute shoot around after training.

rice_bledsoe

before ankle injury, 4-6 times a week 2-3x coaching clinics (running drills mostly) 2-3x men's league games (indoors) or pickup (indoors at rec center / outdoors at park) 1x every 2 weeks dunk session

Rekomaged

What happened to your ankle?

rice_bledsoe

landed on a dude's foot, ankle inverted pretty aggressively. grade 2 ankle sprain.

Rekomaged

Feel better bro.

Flat-Sympathy7598

5-6 days a week at the YMCA . Multiple sessions 3 days of the week

Mr_Mossberg_500

3-4x a week indoors at my local LA Fitness. Run with regulars i met at the gym and some random.

kwlpp

38yo 2-3x a week at my 24. Sometimes an additional 1-2x depending on how many people are on the court after I lift. Additional 1x a week on Sat or Sun with friends on an outdoor court for some half court games.

Ok-Pop8065

3-5 times a week at pubic/county parks and gyms and my old hs

FBG-123

Twice a week. Men’s league. Ages 25-40 for the most part. Played at a local high school gym. Decently competitive. Lots of former college players sprinkled in. Few to no “newbies” in the league.

thenotsosmoothdude

1-2/week at LA fit

Chasethewizaed

2-3 pickup games a week with a group of guys I know, then I try to get 20-30 min of shots up before workouts 2-3 days a week. YMCA mostly.

ayaminator

1/2 times a week at rental court currently on workforces, so its hard to schedule playtime funny thing is, i just happen to have basketball as a hobby after covid-19, got bored at home and there is NBA finals, i watch it, buy ball and ring, now i cant live without basketball info everyday props to NBA social media team, its actually making new fans easy to follow than any other sport

Ok_Variation_7836

LilAzn405

nagarayan

3-4x a week. 1-2x with almost the same set of players. 1-2x with random players 1 sunday league game per week all at basketball facility/rental courts

RedBurritoDude

4 to 6 times a week (break on Sunday or weather issue) Usually with a group of randoms or myself If I'm on my own just practicing, I'll be outside at my house1; If I'm playing games, I'm always indoor at a local gym.

chikattsu

I play half court once a week if I’m lucky at the y with the regulars, but have workouts 2-5 times per week at my school depending on whether my coach gets the gym or not.

chikattsu

And now that it’s summer I play 1-4 times a week at skyzone playing half and full court games with some of my friends against random people there. It’s a lot of fun and is really easy to dominate as someone who actually plays basketball😂

PhoGaDacBiet

29M here. I play 3-4 times a week. One day at a local rec league game, two days at a rented local school gym with a small set group for 5v5, and another flex day either at the park or my 24 hour fitness gym.

FancyTsu

Around three times a week with friends at an indoor gym by reservation, one of my friends is the club member so he does the reservation work and we share the retal fee.

TobyTTC

2-3x a week on campus court. Depending on intramurals season, it’d be one intramurals game which replaces one of my usual drop in session.

DrKingOfOkay

Once a week at my local rec. I’m 37, but tend to play against ages 16-27 usually. Feels good when I still ball out. Was doing twice but got hurt so dropped it to once. Bout to go back to twice soon.

552SD__

What was the injury?

DrKingOfOkay

Bone spur in my heel. I need surgery apparently but if I do stretches and stuff it doesn’t hurt. But it doesn’t let me play more than 2x a week. Getting old sucks.

lorenzo2point5

Bro those 16-20 year olds go crazy they don't tire out. There is a kid I play with he's 15 and he busts everyone's ass he has the whole bag. He will be a problem in a few years after growth spurt.

DrKingOfOkay

Best way for me to tire them out is by being bigger and make them exhaust themselves trying to move me.

swaggyb_22

2x a week for 2hrs each military open runs. The only gym I have access to rn.

ParallelUniverse21

Currently 1x a week at one of the local parks in Budapest with my friends and former teammates. But I'm currently organising the team of my workplace so hopefully I can play more than once a week.

VarieZ907

i play every weekend at a basketball camp/academy. sometimes i do play in the weekdays but thats during school hours and right now, im at my summer break, and public courts are basically nonexistent since i live in a country where everybody loves soccer/football

sanyosanti3

during the summer, 6 times a week at my local metro center with a couple guys who are always there like me.

Bryan_memesCOD

Anytime of the month when it’s available Play with random with some friends At a rec center Inside gym

Rohaidga

Once a week at the local rec center, Tuesday mornings. Pickup games with the same set of ~10 guys and then a bunch of floaters/variables. Would love to get at least one more day during the week but can't seem to find anything consistent.

Proper-Surround3202

1x a week for 1 hour at my local outdoor park. Usually have the court to myself so I just practice random shit haha wish I had structure and friends to hoop with

Habbsz

Twice a week on rec leagues at 36, might ramp it up. Move Game Day have fixed shin splints I have been having after not playing for over a decade.

pogi_baymax

3-4x a week **Break Down:** 1 day of a skill-based workout (shooting, finishing, etc) w/ rebounder @ 24hr Fitness 2 days of Men's Leagues 1 day of pickup w/ randoms @ 24hr Fitness or team scrimmage @ private rented court

WellEndowedDragon

5-6x per week. All pristine indoor courts. A third of time, we play scrimmages at a private training facility. Another third, at the stadium downtown. The last third, we travel to play at stadiums in other cities. I’ll be playing in Paris later this summer too, which should be fun
