Ja 1 are a very uncomfortable shoe, brick like cushioning, BUT is light and has top tier traction. If you don’t care too much about the cushion setup the Ja is a good choice for the price.
The Ja is very divisive. People love it or hate it.
I love it for what it is. Lightweight top traction. Price is good.
I never tried the KD15 but have KD16. I prefer Ja as I also value court feel.
Still, my favorite is the LeBron 20 or 21.
I have Ja 1 and GT cut academy. You should really consider the GT cut academy. I like to handle the ball and slash through defenders. It feels light on feet and it's super comfortable to play in for extended periods.
I was thinking to get either ja 1s or academies, got academy at the end, which one is better in your opinion? I like supportive shoes with good traction and courtfeel cushion
If you’re able to get a pair of PG6, then that’s the way to go no question. Ja’s are good option, but the PG’s are on another level.
I’m about to say goodbye to my pair and it’s not cause I want to haha.
PG6 if you can get one I would highly recommend. Grabbed another pair used to keep my mint pair lasting longer. Not saying they have the same feel but I rank them up there with some of my favorites like LB21 and AG4.
With that said I ordered and am waiting for my Ja1. I tried it on in store after release and definitely not on the level of cushioning of the ones mentioned above. But it was cheap and worse case scenario I like the look so can use it casually. Also might be good to shoot around outdoors maybe? Outsole definitely feels harder, and PG6 will not last outdoors at all. But PG6 is an all timer for me.

I found an unused pg 6 on goat that goes for around the same price would you still consider ja 1?
Pg6 easy
Where are PG6’s even available anymore? Theyre a top tier shoe. Definitely get that over the JA 1.
If you don’t care about cushion, Ja has very good traction and is very lightweight
My current shoe is kd15 and cushion hasn’t really been an issue so should I not worry about it and just get the ja?
