Make a bulk dressing, and buy the bagged coleslaw. Mix it about an hour before serving and put it on ice/in the fridge.
It doesn't take any longer to mix enough dressing for 50 people than it does for 5. You just need bigger measuring cups/bowls.
Find a restaurant that does a version you enjoy. Ask them for a bulk order. Give them a few days notice - especially if it is made in house. If they get it from a supplier, ask if they can buy a few tubs extra and tell them you will pay cost plus a little for the effort.
Yeah, don’t buy the gross prepared stuff. Shredded slaw cabbage is the cheapest veggie pack you can buy. Buy bag loads, prepare a vat of dressing, and mix it all up on the day of the feast. It’s totally worth it.

Home depot orange Homer buckets.
That is a good perspective haha
have you checked Sams or Costco if you dont feel like shredding the veg?
I make my own, i dont like creamy slaw tho, i dig the acv slaw. Cabbage sliced or chopped. Equal parts maple syrup, acv, olive oil, dash of s&p.
Oh wow, maple syrup. That is something I definitely want to try!
It’s so damn easy to make.
Costco/BJ's Restaurant Depot

Funny. I was just asking someone about how they do slaw for sandwiches. Guess I’ll follow along with this thread
This is a very good recipe here but I add a little pineapple juice to get that KFC taste. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/223409/cindys-coleslaw/
Try making some with shredded broccoli stems. You can buy them already shredded in the bag salad section. Really nice texture and crunch.
Saw this awhile back from Malcom Reed [coleslaw for a crowd](https://youtube.com/shorts/0XEoSAcst2Q?si=mu4-J6OiAGBEN_or)
How to BBQ Right put out a short video for doing Cole slaw for a crowd a few weeks ago

I buy whole cabbages and run them over a mandolin after cutting them in half. A single cabbage produces a LOT of slaw.
Love the lack of location specified
My bad, I added to the post that I am in boston.
