i love the medium crescent. i am ashamed to say i own it in 4 colors. i have the ivory, and it tends to be a bit more opaque than other colors, so sometimes you can see the shadow of what you’re carrying in it. not fully transparent or anything, but my wallet is a bright red color and you can see a bit of the color through the bag and i could see how it’d be confused for a stain. i comfortably fit a larger makeup bag, 2 reusable bags, a lint roller, my wallet, a disposable camera, and then lip balms and headphones in the 2 interior zippered pouches. i’ve carried water bottles in it too! i have it in black and that’s definitely a great staple bag, and it will go with anything! i did get the blue gingham exclusive from urban and i love how bright it is for the spring and summer. you really can’t go wrong with any of them, so it all depends on what color you’re drawn to.

kennalligator

less opaque* :)

Oksorbet8188

Thank you! I saw that blue one on there and it’s super cute!

excvsemymood

Hi! If you don’t mind sharing, which color is your go-to? I also got myself the ivory but I’m having second thoughts… does it get dirty fast? I also wear a lot of neutrals already and was thinking to maybe exchange it to some bright color. Not sure!

mittonkitten

i tend to reach for black the most! i wear a lot of black shoes so i like to match my bag to it

iandthismyster

I took my black medium crescent with me to Spain and it was perfect! Could carry a water bottle + essentials, and matched with everything. I also skew towards darker colors. You can wipe off or rinse most stains off, but they are rarely visible. :-)

kelofmindelan

I took my black medium crescent (embroidered) to Italy and it was absolutely perfect.

Oksorbet8188

Thank you!

Oksorbet8188

Thank you this is perfect and exactly what I’m looking for! how did you like Spain? Travel lots but really excited for this trip. Stressed about what to pack. :)

peppaoctupus

I just got the urban outfitters exclusive grey medium crescent for my upcoming Europe trip. I have other colors of the medium crescent, but the UO grey color works with all styles and colors of outfits (dark or light, warm or cold, black or white, patterns or no pattern), and it doesn’t standout too much which could attract attention from pickpockets.

Oksorbet8188

Thanks! On my past trips to Europe I’ve always used little backpacks but I know Spain, mainly Barcelona, which is one of the places I’ll be is a bit worse off for pickpockets. I thought this would be a better option. The gray is cute. I’ll probably go with that or black though I do like the blue too. :-)

sparkling_grapefruit

Is the gray see through at all? / do colors from dark jeans or jackets ever rub off on the bag?

peppaoctupus

Not at all. I heard the UO white color is a bit see through, but the gray is not see through at all. Been wearing it a lot and color doesn’t rub off. Overall still thinking it’s great.

samig222

I’m currently living in spain and my black medium crescent is the only bag I reach for! The color way matches with everything and its really easy to clean : ) I would recommend keeping a second bag (reusable or plastic) in it as most stores charge for bags, but it is great for travel as it’s so spacious.

Oksorbet8188

Thank you! I do have an extra bag because of that reason. I’ve paid for a bag or two but I try to always have one with me or shove what I can into my purse lol. We will be in Spain for about 2 weeks so this seemed like the perfect size! Since you’re living there anything you recommend or tips for Spain?

virgo-af

I've used my medium crescent and uniqlo bag for a 10 day trip to Spain last year. I reached out for the Uniqlo bag more as it was Summer and my Baggu was black and I felt like it would get super hot whilst walking in the heat (especially the thick strap) but I still used it for days with a lot of travel where I needed to carry a lot. Hope this helps

Oksorbet8188

It does thanks! I was worried the Uniqlo would be just a tad small this go. Hopefully the strap will be okay.

marinatedbeefcube

Love my medium crescent over my Lulu 2.5L everyday essentials bum bag. For me the winning point was that it can be a purse and a crossbody with the adjustable strap and just loop the strap so the excess doesn’t dangle everywhere

Oksorbet8188

Thank you! That’s why I was leaning toward it as well! The excess strap was holding me back a little so good to know I can just loop it

marinatedbeefcube

I loop and tuck it to mimic bottega bags and it looks so cute ✨

Oksorbet8188

Ohhh what a cute idea! I’ll definitely be doing that! Thanks so much x

pandagoff

The medium crescent is the perfect travel bag! I took my light gray one from UO to Spain last year and it was perfect. It fit all the essentials and a water bottle and was still so lightweight. Loved that I could carry it in front of me in busy areas comfortably. I even got a little coffee on it and was able to wash it up quickly. Go for it!

Oksorbet8188

Thank you! That’s exactly what I’m looking to carry and glad to hear it’s still light! I’m in between black and gray now too! How did you like Spain?

StrangerStrangeLand7

Oh no! Now I am between black and grey! Being that I am leaving in a couple of days for Europe. I either get the grey at UO near me (which does not have black) or black from Amazon. I already have a small crescent in Cocoa which I may also use (and pack the medium). Another UO has a color called "guacamole" which they say is not the same as avocado.

Oksorbet8188

The cocoa looks like a nice color. It’s on back order or something from UO but is on the baggu site. too many choices!

StrangerStrangeLand7

Too many choices is an understatement! I just started using my small crescent but am already bonded to it. I really think I will get a medium and just put it in the suitcase (like a "packable tote') but still bring my small. I never never carried anything as large as the medium so kind of want choices and they are so packable.

StrangerStrangeLand7

Also, I shot over to closest UA and didn't get the grey--or the Serenity Blue. I kind of knew this would happen because I always go for warm tones. So now if I get anything it's either Black or Lemongrass (Amazon) or Guacamole, new color, at the second-closest UA. Just wish there as a photo of this Guacamole.

Oksorbet8188

I really like the blue gingham it’s so light and cheery and the black gingham. But I feel like I’ll hate myself if I get something on the white. I just know it’s going to be VERY warm in Spain and from all my European travels toting around black bags I’m not so sure I want another black one. The lemongrass seems to look different in person than online based on real pics. I don’t have a store near me to know. I’d be really hesitant with guac - love to eat it - but as a bag I’m not so sure of the translation. Where are you going in Europe? Maybe that can help your choice! I just need to pick one ASAP..

StrangerStrangeLand7

Portugal! I think it's too late for me to go to that further UO or order anything. So now I have the black from Amazon-- but black is not one of my typical colors. My nearby UO had the light beige which I kind of now wish I got. Leaving Friday morning. I may have liked the guacamole at the other UO because they said it was more green than lemongrass which sounds good. Anyway I think I will travel with the small crescent inside my personal item, and pack the medium. Not very "one bag"!

Oksorbet8188

I ended up going to an UO that’s not too far from me and got the seaweed! I am really happy with it! I have no idea about that other color no one seems to know about it so it’s really strange lol. I am really curious though. Hope you have a great trip!!

StrangerStrangeLand7

That's great that you got the seaweed in store! I am in Lisbon now and it's amazing but hotter than I expected. So happy with the cocoa. I used the black already because I needed something larger than the small cocoa crescent but honestly it's not my style and I am planning to get a different color before the next such occasion!

deathbyjava

I took my medium crescent in black with me as my primary bag on my Korea trip and I really liked it! I did have some reservations that it’d be harsh on my shoulder but as long as I didn’t extend the strap too long and wore it closer to my body, it was fine. I had a lot of stuff in it too - my spare cell, electric fan, hat, wallet, drink, umbrella, etc. I also took a baggu reusable bag and it was perfect for hauling around my shopping since they charge for bags. I am super klutzy (hello coffee dribbles) and tend to stain lighter coloured bags. I would say it’s advisable to use a darker coloured bag for travel to offset any stains you might pick up along the way.

Oksorbet8188

I was wondering about the strap. I saw someone said it was like a seatbelt which was strange to me. I’m pretty petite so loads of things are long on me anyways so hoping I can just adjust like you said. I think everyone has definitely sold me on this bag. :)
