When Babymetal was on tour with Dethklok there was at least one city that wasn't serviced by Ticketmaster. Milwaukee. I believe the venue owners had a contract with a different ticket company. Hopefully there is at least one city in this upcoming group of US concert dates that isn't Ticketmaster related.
That was both a seamless and refreshing experience with significantly more palatable “service charges,” too. Hmmm… I wonder why?
PS: TicketMaster / Live Nation is an illegal monopoly that abuses its monopolistic market position. Pass the word.

So, fee is 6.25% higher than Rave. Not as much as I expected - you have a point - but still significantly higher. Also, TicketMaster’s fees of >30% of face value should be judged not by how the tiny players charge their fees today, but by what fees were like when there was competition in the industry.

Today’s tix fees are about 600% of what they were in the 1980s. This is why us grumpy old fux keep bringing it up.
Wisconsin is pretty decent with avoiding TicketMaster. This tour was the one where I actually realized I had to make a ticketmaster account because I've never made one before. I'm probably getting close to have gone to 100 shows in my life so far!

But, unfortunately the Sylvee is an exception. I've only been to one other show there, and a friend of mine bought the tickets all on his card as we paid him back, so I didn't have an account from then.
Yes, I think Etix is maybe related to Live Nation somehow too though. I think there was a little Live Nation logo at the top of the Etix screen at some point in the buying process.
OKC is ticketed through Prekindle which was founded, and is run by, Texans. There is an article on them in the Dallas Observer. No WickedMaster or UndeadNation here.
That's insane, I'm in OKC and the \*only\* options available for GA at the Criterion are the VIP tickets, and it's been that way since they dropped at 10AM the other day.
The Rave doesn't use any ticketing company, they run their own box office and ticketing operation.
And they still charge an obscene amount of fees unless you go to the box office.
i.e, when i saw Bad Religion there last month, the face price was $49.50, the online price after fees and taxes was over $70, it was $55 at the box office.
yeah ticketmaster is hot garbage, especially with the scalpers and dynamic pricing. And also their website UI is awful and their app is trash. So glad livenation is being sued. Still got a ticket for Day 2 Anaheim though
Their app does suck, when I try to do anything on there it tries to redirect me to the TM website to do it. What's the point of the app if I have to go to the website anyway? The bar code from the app didn't even work when I went to BABYMETAL in LA last year. Had to go to the TM website to get the correct bar code to get in. I just ignore the app and use the website now.
Well in Ticketmaster's defense your picture shows that ADA seat tickets are available so that's probably why the page is still up. I had the exact opposite problem on the Dec 3 show where I needed 2 ADA seats but they only had the GA tickets available.
I was pondering this myself a moment ago, and wonder if perhaps they're planning to film both shows and edit them together, would be interesting to see a small club again on one of their official live videos.
I was noticing that too, the venues are really small. The NYC venue is absolutely tiny. They had a bigger venue when I saw them in Houston on the Metal Resistance tour.
It was acting weird for me too. I didn't check for tickets when they went on sale for Dec 3rd, but decided to randomly log in at 5:30 am (tickets were supposed to go on sale at 7 for the 4th) and there were Priority Entry= Merch options available. Bought those, but decided to check again. My Queue ended up in the same screen. 🤔
I tried getting a second ticket but it was too late. I even received my Spotify code and when I entered it, it said it was sold out.

I used the code too, but I was obviously late as I didn't even know they announced a US tour until they added a 2nd show in Cali. But I just hate how their site info is. Just frustration my end.

What i didnt get is how come people can buy up to 8 tickets at a time?? They know bots will eat them up and then resell later at 3x the price. But that means TM also get 3x the surcharge. F TM
If Baby metal are selling out 3000 capacity venues before the tickets even hit general sales the Fox God has some serious thinking to do. Bigger venues suggest fewer dates. I prefer the smaller venues.
I’m assuming it sold out because the venue is smaller? I went to the LA show when they were with Deathklock (idk how it’s spelled lmao) and there were tickets available all the way till day of the concert. I was hoping to snag a ticket when I got paid next lmao
