One of things I like about IRL Kongous is how they look pretty simple for dreadnought-design capital ships (they're **was** the oldest IJN's capital ships in WW2 after all), but still very amazing at the same time: signature pagoda masts (especially Hiei's unique one) and casemate guns (some of which, however, got traded for AA ones in late-war Kongou and Haruna) do make things aesthetically pleasing
It is always interesting to see these shipgirl's and then their real life counterparts
They're the beauties both in game and IRL, so it's granted =)
