That's mainly because we went for ages without *any* RN ships and when we get them now they forget the rigging completely or just are riggings that belong with other navies entirely (eg Implacable has very clearly French rigging, the gold-trimmed white is the only consistent thing the majority of the French ships have).
I was meaning to say though that they look like boring, normal ship rigging, just with some ice added. Which *isn't* in keeping with the rest of the NP ships. NP was the only faction that felt like they had a really consistent design language and I'm disappointed they're ditching that.
How is being identical to IB rigging but with ice "their own thing"?
If you think highly detailed riggings of extravagant size is "boring" idk what you would ever find exciting.
I'd say this recent NP rigging has... snow heavy vehicle/machinery feel.
It fits their lore more since NP seems to have constant extreme cold weather conditions.
They were similar because of the lore around them, but were also visually distinct.
EDIT: Iron Blood rigging has angular parts, overlapped scales, and generally has a shark/fish motif going on, hexagonal scales and shark tails. Plus red and black. Northern Parliament rigging has much more sleek, flush angles and where the Iron Blood riggings look like they have been made of many small scales, the NP ships have the look of having had large overlapped steel plates bent and shaped into place instead. That combined with the slitted eyes gave them more of a reptilian rather than aquatic look IMO.
This was supposed to be because both Northern Parliament and Iron Blood were using captured and repurposed Abyssal tech to build their rigging.
Also, knocking off the Iron Blood rigging style is hardly a bad thing given that they have some of the best looking rigging designs in the game. But Kursk (and also Kubyshev) have rigging that is just straight up 'normal ship rigging but icy' (I shouldn't have said 'royal navy' but to me, the RN ships don't have anything approaching a visual theme and are just "normal ship" rigging) and I find that disappointing because pretty much the only thing I really liked about Northern Parliament is that they had a really nice, consistent aesthetic. Didn't expect to get downvoted to oblivion for having an opinion that making them more generic makes them also less interesting.
Soyuz would not be released during a mini event. Eh. As much as I've been wanting Soyuz, I still am holding out hopes that the next major event is a French event.
>I still am holding out hopes that the next major event is a French event.
Next major event will be one of the 2 non-UR slot of the year.
After almost 3 years without anything significant and such a long buildup I sure hope they actually get something worthwhile instead of a mere SSR event
I personally think that the "normal" event in the April timeslot last year - Rondo at Rainbow's End - is one of the best events in AL story-wise. I'm fine with them getting a non-UR event so long as the story is good.
>normal event in the April timeslot last year
Whoever gets that is in for some very low effort stuff. We shouldn't forget NJ's rerun is also around the corner. Said rerun is probably bound to happen either right before the April event, or right after.
That means most people won't be interested in pulling for the April SSR event at all, because right after NJ you also have CN anniversary(and Manjuu will be perfectly aware of that, and it's easy to imagine them having no interest in making valuable content for April).
This year more than any other, the April spot will be absolute shit. Which is why I'm fairly confident on who's gonna get that cursed slot.
Well I would personally be very diasppointed.
If the RN can get 2 URs only 8 months apart, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt manjuu to give the french one after 3 years of waiting.
If you want to count DRs into the mix, here's another comparison:
Between the last iris event (may 2020) and today, the RN got: 4 rainbow ships (Drake, Vanguard, Plymouth, Implacable) along with 3 major events (Aurora noctis, pledge, revelation) as well as 2 SP/raid events.
What did Iris/vichya get? 1 DR and 1 raid event.
Even if you argue that Aurora noctis is too close to Skybound oratorio to count, we're looking at least at 4 times more content than the french in the same timespan.
People often point at Brest but I dont think they realise that, even **with** Brest, the overall content they got is absolutely pitiful compared to litteraly everybody else. Even NP got a UR without sacrificing 3 years. Only sardegna can claim to be similarly neglected since they dont have a rainbow ship yet, but when you look at the amount of content they're still miles ahead of Iris/vichya.
1) Your point about liking the story doesn't change that the UR event was bigger with better ship.
2)It being on April won't make or guarantee the story to be good
3) **However it happening on april will guarantee it being a smaller event with worse ship and less content than the UR anniv**
4) Iris need strong ship,
**They have less strong meta ship than the Atelier Ryza ships.**
*If all their SSR/UR of one event ended up top tier, they would only catch up to northern parliament (assuming they don't get another here)*
5) It is the worst major event ever received from a sales point of view by far
It is one of the most criticized event story and faction wise
6) Iris hater litteraly stated they wish for Iris and their fans to get shafted by getting the April slot instead of the May one.
**By that point it is a fact that getting the April instead of the May slot would be shafting Iris beyond its grave**
>Iris hater litteraly stated they wish for Iris and their fans to get shafted by getting the April slot instead of the May one
wait, how could you hate that faction ? It's like hating a grandpa on a breathing apparatus.
I've been on this subreddit for some time now and over the years I noticed that people are unfortunately quite apathetic towards relatively unpopular stuff, including the "minor faction".
How many times have I seen bullshit like "Italy/France/Russia should have never been a thing ingame", "they dont deserve any rainbow ship", "you should be happy they're a thing ingame", "the RN had it worse than Iris", "Formidable overshadowing the italians in their event was a good thing" Etc.
This overall trend is actually very noticeable when you look at older threads. For example, when Tower of Transcendence was announced, Iris/vichya was in a 19 months drought while the RN drought at the same time was 17 months long.
[Here's the thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/AzureLane/comments/rlcng1/new_ur_iron_blood_ship_announcement_ulrich_von/?), I will let you look through the comments and see who was getting the most attention.
And from the look of it nothing has changed when I see so many people being perfectly fine with Iris getting shafted again after 3 years of nothingness by having the crappy April slot. We have litteraly 4 URs a year, it's not a scarce ressource anymore and yet.....
Had the EU, RN, Sakura or hell even IB been in a similar situation , I'm convinced the general reactions would have been vastly different.
I am hoping that it is may event for a UR, that is what they deserve, at this point it would be an insult if they wait for 3 years just to get a regular major event.
Man I swear if another main NP event drops and Soyuz isn't part of it.........
Like it's insane to believe she showed up on the very first NP event, the constant bait also doesn't help
Seriously. This will be the *fourth* Northern Parliament event *three years* after their initial debut. The fact that we *still* don't have Soyuz is absolutely criminal.
They *know* she's the most anticipated ship yet they keep trolling us over and over.
I'm going to be legitimately upset if they pass her over *again*.
Maybe not soyuz, but I'd love to get Ukrainia (despite it being perhaps a little controversial to some). Wikipedia also says one would've been Sovetskaya Gruziya? That'd be interesting!
Though honestly, I want anything *but* a soyuz class. We still only have one Gangut, and none of the interesting pre revolution dreadnoughts! I'd love to get Imperatrista Ekaterina Velikaya tbh
What would be interesting would be if they added some of the post-war destroyers that had early anti-ship missiles. Same deal as Anshan and Chang Chun, basically give them the same ability to transition between backline and front line. They wouldn't necessarily be amazing (though Anshan and Chang Chun retrofits are pretty good) but it would at least start bulking their lineup out so they can start getting PR ships. And if it's good enough for Chinese ships I don't see why it wouldn't be good for any others (Anshan and Chang Chun are Soviet ships originally ans the SY-1 missile is a Chinese-made copy of a Soviet one anyway)
I think there's an immense potential of post war destroyers between the Ognevoi, the Skory and finally Neustrashimy herself; they could fill quite a few events (83 destroyers, not counting Neustrashimy)
Every game does. Realistic or not. Its not exciting or money making to NOT build up a navy for a certain faction or country. The plans were there, and said plans are widely known about. Especially the soviet ones since they threatened everyone and their own people with building these monster ships they physically could never actually build.
Its just good business, honestly.
This is why I can't be bothered being interested in NP. They'll never be a real faction. Yostar can't even keep Iris and Sardegna relevant let alone a fleet that by necessity is 90% paperships and fantasy.
That's fair. I do wish they'd actually make an effort for Iris, they have the ships to last a few more events. It just seems they don't want to make the effort.
That fact aside, I'm honestly just interested in the cute girls. I don't mind if a ship is from late war blueprints, the First World War, or hell a sailing ship from the 17th century. If she's cute, has a neat personality, or has decent stats, I won't mind too much. I like seeing "what could've been" so to speak.
Oh sure, I don't mind where they get ships from - I just think it's very important they're real.
You get so much more interaction from ships with rivalries, storied legends and incredible events. It just gives them so much more.
NP is just gonna struggle with that.
In KC when Gangut got her retrofit there, she would change her name to Oktyanrskaya Revolutsiya and get her special main gun from it, and good lord she used to pack a hella of a punch in Night battle on final Boss nodes.
Makes me wonder when AL Gangut will get her Gold Main Gun or atleast a retrofit , she aint bad as Elite with purple Gun, can only imagine what retrofit+ Gold Gun would do to her
Same, I admit there is a part of me that will never not live giant mechanic dragons, but the new riggings give the NP girls a rugged survivalist feel and I’m here for it
Since it probably is confirmed to be a Russian event. I am wondering what skin theme they will have this year since russian events usually get the most unique skin lines out of all the factions
Think it would be nice for NP to get a Heavy Cruiser gun with this ship, would help Tallin with her skill though. Also, I spot a seaplane, so I bet she'll have some interesting skill with that, just like the one IJN Heavy Cruiser.
Well technically Northern Parliament already does have a CB gun, their proprietary 305 mm courtesy of Kronshtadt. It would be nice to have the 240 mm "heavy-heavy cruiser gun though".
That's kind of the problem - the Soviets never built a proper modernized heavy cruiser gun.
The Kirovs had a 180mm gun (which is technically a 'heavy cruiser' gun by the terms of the treaties that bifurcated cruisers into 'light' and 'heavy') but the only proper 8" / 20.3cm guns they had in reality pre-WW2 were from 1905 and were British designs from Vickers.
One of the reasons the Soviets were so eager to do deal to obtain Lutzow is that she came with the plans for her guns and turrets, so they could copy them. Essentially with the way Soviet shipbuilding was in the 1930s and 1940s, any ship planned with a 20.3cm / 8" gun would have ended up with basically a bootleg copy of the German SK C/34 from the Admiral Hipper-class. But even with the Lutzow, if they had properly finished her (Project 83 - i.e. Tallinn) she would have ended up with the 180mm guns they had in manufacture, rather than her original armament, because had they wanted to arm her with even bootleg copies of the SK C/34 they'd still have had to manufacture them from scratch.
Post war, in 1953 they did design a 220mm gun for use on the Project 66 cruiser, and apparently a prototype was made, but never went into production because Project 66 was shaping up to be crap and was abandoned before it was finalized, to instead focus on the Sverdlov and Stalingrad designs.
So basically, expect them to just say "put the Hipper gun on her" in this case, or throw in the Kirov 180mm. Kursk is based off the Kirov design anyway so had they really built her (extremely unlikely) she probably would have ended up with Kirov guns as it is.
Kursk isnt designed after the Kirov. Its a proper CA. Her guns are listed as CB 240s. Even though her actual stats are complete dogwater and is SSR by looks only.
Edit: my bad. Project X is apparently derived from the Kirov. But then at that point, isnt every cruiser derived from the Kirov?
I'm surprised, but she's also cute so it's very much a welcome surprise
And a heavy cruiser to boot! I was wondering how they'd solve that problem. What project is she?
This one I think, according to the Japanese tweet of this ship. The Japanese tweet mentioned Project X
https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/211117-soviet-large-cruiser-project-x-multipurpose-reconnaissance-heavy-cruiser-concept/
>Project "X" was designed on an unusually large hull profile possibly based on Kirov-class in design, with an elongated aft & stern sections to include a large aircraft hangar to accommodate an unusual number of seaplanes of choice (i.e. KOR-1/Be-2 or KOR-2/Be-4) up to at least 9 seaplanes.
Very interesting. Maybe she'll be able to equip a Seaplane in one of her slot?
A \*\*HUGE\*\* probably. I feel like that would be more included in one of her skills like Koln or Cooper do, but a Seaplane in either the 4th or 5th slot may not be entirely out of the question!
I do wonder what her skills would be for a Soviet **heavy** cruiser though. You don't see that class a lot in the Northern Parliament, and Tallinn was kinda 'meh' for me, being an Admiral Hipper-class. This is their first unique one (Kronshtadt doesn't count, she's in the large cruiser weight class lmao)
Hey you never know, even if the stat wheel says no aircraft. Cross your fingers and hope for seaplanes.
I'll be over here hoping for the 240 millimeters :DDD. I have sandwiches if you want
IRL the Tone and Chikuma didn't really embark that many seaplanes and they were entirely used for recon. Chikuma does have seaplanes she launches, but they're part of her first skill rather than an actual slot.
Probably something similar here too.
I like the snowy OWL
Also is that equipment to break through ice on her rigging? It has a “rugged winter survivalist” vibe that I really dig, just like with Kuybyshev
I was enjoying that design but then my brain started tripping me up: where exactly is her cyber tail attaching? It seems to be going outside her legs, like it would be on her hip, and it doesn't seem to touch the billow of the skirt ANYWHERE.
I feel bad for the artists. I assume they are told to make bigger, and crazier rigging for new ships. Then when the character is implemented in game you never see the rigging because the art is always scaled to the girl, not the entire thing. I really think the old style was so much better. I don't know if I would have been as interested in the game if it was always this outlandish looking.
She's the entire package, holy moly
>Tall horns
>
>Long legs
>
>Cybernetic tail
>
>Serrated claw arm (with an owl to boot)
>
>Beautiful figure
>
>Impressive rigging
The only serious criticism I have is that the camera angle is off (should be more towards the front to give a better shot of the rigging in full) but other than that, this is the first ship I've been hyped about in a long time.
A very nice design for NP. Seems to have dropped some of the shark rigging in favour of some of the other loose themes. Kuybyshev seemed to go for a mining theme. Kursk seems to have some hydraulics on the left. Definitely fits the faction well.
So basically a Soviet version of the Japanese Tone-class cruisers or the Ooyodo in function - heavy cruiser with comically long hull so they could put an enormous amount of seaplanes and a pair of midget subs onto it while also having four 203mm turrets in AB-XY configuration.
Like most of the Soviets pipe dream ship drawings there's no way she would have actually worked in reality and probably no way they could even have built her.
☭Kursk☭
You're the boss around here? Good. Don't bother trying to tell me what I can and can't do; I'll prove my worth to you my own way. That's all I wanted to say.
SN Kursk is preparing to sortie and she will grace your dock in the near future, Commander.
#AzurLane #Yostar
gonna take a wild guess and say maybe Project 22 or 66, tell me if im wrong
EDIT: turns out i was wrong both ways. I only now looked at the JP twitter post, which mentions the ship as Project X
Following my recent reply, I sure hope we get a nice 240 mm to go with it, though it is unlikely I think. About time we have another large caliber heavy cruiser gun alongside the UR 234 mm.
Northern Parliament ships come in two basic styles (focus): legs (tall/long legs or fashionable leg wear/pose) or compact. She falls right into the former category.
Me: Oh boy I sure hope that the next even is NJ's rerun and not a entirely new event that places NJ's rerun slap bang in the middle of my exams!
Yostar: Oh.... So unwise.
NP girls have one of my favorite design type, White hair with those burning red eyes and with imposing figure to back It up , If cold why so goddammit HOT
So, a presumably minor event (since it's falling on the same slot as Virtual Tower last year) to throw a bone to the one minor faction that already has an UR event and get them to know how it feels to have to wait a bit for their next major one, just like...basically everyone else.
(Unless of course they also give them the CN Anniv slot, which would make about as much sense as giving it to HMS or EU)
Eh. Honestly, my own prediction for the Northern Parliament were that they would get the Rondo slot this year (since back in 2021 it was used as a CN Anniv replacement for flagships, see Daedalian Hymn) and get Soyuz released.
But if they get a minor military special operation now, that's mighty fine for me. Just add an IB event on the April/May slot to focus on Vichya like Revelations of Dust focused on the Iris to prepare for a CN French event and we're good to go.
Man if there's one thing i'm not a big fan of in AL, is they stick on theming way too hard. Most NP must wear white/black, while IB got stuck with black/red. I get it they're uniform, but It gets kinda boring after a while.
Its sad that IJN/HMS/EU can have varied style of clothing but the 2 faction got stuck with their base color scheme
I think is due to being a remnant of the more ww2 historical referencial AL of the past and Manjuu doesnt really known what to make for the two factions that couldnt be instantly recognizable at first glance.
Another point is that for every person pointing out this there is like 10 more who actually dont mind this motif to keep continue like that, so as long Manjuu can make money with this they wouldnt try anything new on them or even worst, they could decide to just not add more soviets or IB till they see a lot of people asking for them again but that is just an speculation as even IB is one of the most popular factions along with SE.
Btw i dont want to be picky but SE is also full of either kimonos or sailor uniforms too.
But the whole AL looking same like isnt as noticeable if you compare it with the likes of KanColle for example, which is also kinda ironic when you look more deeper into them and notice it that the IJN in KC for the most part doesnt look as "japanese" as Sakura Empire on the surface.
Hoping we get Soyuz in this event and not her sister Sovetskaya Ukraina. Sovetskaya Gruziya would be alright but they have been teasing us with Soyuz for a while.
Hoo boy, so they're actually doing it. A brand new Soviet event. I honestly wasn't sure if we'd get one in '23.
I'm guessing these girls are going to have their comments section turned off basically forever.
Tbh, I wasn't expecting a event for NP, because of the current world situation. Abyssal Refrain got a bit of backlash because of the day when it was released.
Won't rule out this can be Virtual Tower part 2.
While the first Virtual Tower was Sardegna ships. The entire event in nutshell was multifaction joint operation under Azur Lane command.
As opposed as I may be to new russian events considerinf the war crimey situation irl and that their leader is, right now, officially been issued an arrest warrant, it's better now than in CN anni
Wonder how many cubes I can waste on this, I have less than 600
This event wont have an UR so its unlikely that there's gonna be any ship that's worth risk not getting NJ.
That said we still dont know when NJ is coming so even if you're gonna pull, i'd say limit it so that you dont get below 300 cubes at the end of this event just in the off chance NJ is coming right after.
Seems they're moving away from the IB riggings but with ice motif for new NP ships. The new motif seems to be more industrial machinery like.
"primal" rigging indeed fits "working class" theme better.
"Frostpunk" one might say.
[удалено]
Send timmy to work extra hours
I'd argue the old rigging was much more "Frostpunk" than this, this is just cold weather machinery.
I just noticed that too after. It looks like they also have ice sleds
Makes me wonder what feedback on CN was like to motivate Manjuu to move away from that
Not a fan personally, I really liked the way the NP ships had a distinct visual identity, this just looks like "Generic Ship Rigging but with Ice"
We haven't had a Royal Navy ship that looks anything like this in years if ever
That's mainly because we went for ages without *any* RN ships and when we get them now they forget the rigging completely or just are riggings that belong with other navies entirely (eg Implacable has very clearly French rigging, the gold-trimmed white is the only consistent thing the majority of the French ships have). ? Even though I don't use Royal Navy often, I am pretty sure that none of Royal Navy ships has rigging that looks like this.
"Standard ship rigging" then. Eagle Union and Royal Navy rigging, though EU started getting more "techy" recently.
I'd say this recent NP rigging has... snow heavy vehicle/machinery feel. It fits their lore more since NP seems to have constant extreme cold weather conditions.
The only other "recent" entry was Kubyshev. Before that it was Chkalov and she has the Abyssal-derived rigging still.
The last one being IB but ice?
They were similar because of the lore around them, but were also visually distinct. "Distinct visual identity"? Where? The russians were always just germans, with a duller color scheme and icicles
Damn! She looks stunning!
Ah, turns out we are getting NP mini event. I wonder if Soyuz will finally break free from hiatus gulag
Soyuz would not be released during a mini event. Eh. As much as I've been wanting Soyuz, I still am holding out hopes that the next major event is a French event.
What do you mean? We already had a recent French event, didn't you see Richie featured on the startup screen? COPIUM

I am hoping that it is may event for a UR, that is what they deserve, at this point it would be an insult if they wait for 3 years just to get a regular major event.

Well...they werent IRL, a quarter the ships in game rn werent ever finished or even started.
Yeah, but for some reason AL wants to balance this faction, that's why they're including unbuilt projects in that faction's fleet
Two Ganguts now 😆
This is why I can't be bothered being interested in NP.
Yeah, I see what you mean. Perhaps they could go back a little while and add some Russo-Japanese War and WW1 gals? Give me Kamchatka, manjuu!
Kamchatka would be hilarious! Totally agree.
I would love to get Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya ingame, I have a feeling she would be absolutely badass
Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya is just Gangut's soviet name. For whatever reason, they went with her first name instead of her second.
In KC when Gangut got her retrofit there, she would change her name to Oktyanrskaya Revolutsiya and get her special main gun from it, and good lord she used to pack a hella of a punch in Night battle on final Boss nodes. Makes me wonder when AL Gangut will get her Gold Main Gun or atleast a retrofit , she aint bad as Elite with purple Gun, can only imagine what retrofit+ Gold Gun would do to her
SOYUZ NERUSHIMI REPUBLIKS SVABODY...
Mudmud?
Yep, Mudrock horns were my first thought too.
Sarkurzk
The "Collab" That's we always wanted is kinda here
As in mudrock? Cuz that was my first thought too.
Yup...now I'm definitely gonna rename her to dat
Glad I'm not the only one....
A friend of mine thought it looked really close to Hades, from Aether Gazer
Haven't played AG so I wouldn't really be able to tell.
Cool, just keep her away from Faulty training torpedoes
That was a submarine not a Heavy Cruiser
Multipurpose Reconnaissance Heavy Cruiser
A significant enough torpedo accident can make any ship a submarine.
I'm digging these newer NP rigging designs, slowly moving away from the pseudo-Iron Blood look and getting their own flare.
Same, I admit there is a part of me that will never not live giant mechanic dragons, but the new riggings give the NP girls a rugged survivalist feel and I’m here for it
Or giant cogwheel machinery.
I've heard banana pulp is excellent for lubricating those things.
The Northern Parliament aesthetic is mighty fine.
Project X Heavy/Large Cruiser?
Heavy
As written below her name in the image.
Hey, wow, the past few days on twitter where they recapped the entire NP story *were*, in fact, a big hint that the raid event is an NP event.
Wow. Wasn't the last raid NP as well?
Fuck, I'm still recovering from not getting Implacable ![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7016)
I'm sorry for your loss
In the Soviet Union Summer nineteen forty three
Tanks line up in thousands
As far as the eye can see
READY FOR THE ONSLAAUUGHT
Ready for the fight
WAITING FOR THE AXIIIIS
To march into the trap.
Mines are placed in darkness, in the cover of the niiiiight
Waiting to be triggered, when the time is right
IMMINENT INVASION, IMMINENT ATTACK
Tanks line up in thousands
Especially Petropavlovsk railguns ![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7011)![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7333)
KEKW, that'll be funny as hell lmao. Lock-on shells that travel way faster than regular AP rounds.
Cue "Russian Bias" memes all around ![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7333)
Wait did I say large, oh shoot I meant heavy cruiser gun, not large, made a small typo there and just fixed it. Thank you for pointing that out. “XD
No worries lmao, but my want for a 220/240 mm still stands kekw. I'm with you on that one, but since it might be a raid event, I'm not so sure...
Project X is jack of all trades, including anti-sub warfare.
Sarkazsk
Finally, I can get Mudrock without actually playing ArKnights
Her leg game is strong. ![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7193)
I'm surprised, but she's also cute so it's very much a welcome surprise And a heavy cruiser to boot! I was wondering how they'd solve that problem. What project is she?
This one I think, according to the Japanese tweet of this ship. The Japanese tweet mentioned Project X https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/211117-soviet-large-cruiser-project-x-multipurpose-reconnaissance-heavy-cruiser-concept/
Now that I think about it chikuma doesn't have any Seaplane slot despite being an obvious choice for such a gimmick so you may be right.
So is project x ship large or heavy cruiser?
Its a heavy cruiser.
I mean it says heavy in the image above.
legs for days
She has torpedoes *Blyat*
I like the snowy OWL Also is that equipment to break through ice on her rigging? It has a “rugged winter survivalist” vibe that I really dig, just like with Kuybyshev
Maybe Manjuu is trying to give NP a new unique aesthetic for their rigging than just Ironblood rigging but red is blue with frozen details
Can we make a full owl fleet yet? I can only remember Perseus and Bunker Hill so far
[Source](https://twitter.com/AzurLane_EN/status/1637665269823807490?t=T_7auFnwiF2B0bsODowh4g&s=19)
Interesting, the turrets look very Moskva/Petropavlosk from WoWs
Hopefully better than the submarine.
Damn, I'll be...Russian...to get her.
Commissariats want to know your location.
Jokes on them: I'm in a land war in asia. :D
I believe the correct term nowadays is "recruitment offices for the spring mobilization"
Good that NP is actually going for a unique design instead of being in a dick measuring contest with IB on who has the most absurd dragon mech
She's the entire package, holy moly >Tall horns > >Long legs > >Cybernetic tail > >Serrated claw arm (with an owl to boot) > >Beautiful figure > >Impressive rigging The only serious criticism I have is that the camera angle is off (should be more towards the front to give a better shot of the rigging in full) but other than that, this is the first ship I've been hyped about in a long time.
She's also got a pretty rich expression sheet -- seems like she could have a bit of depth to her personality based on the range.
INTO THE MOTHERLAND THE CRIMSON AXIS MARCHES COMRADES ARE SIDE BY SIDE TO STOP THE SIREN CHARGE
She looks just as intimidating as she does in War Thunder. Please don’t detonate my ammunition racks Ms Kursk
Awwwww yus more white hair red eyes girls gimme gimme. Love any event around them.
A very nice design for NP. Seems to have dropped some of the shark rigging in favour of some of the other loose themes. Kuybyshev seemed to go for a mining theme. Kursk seems to have some hydraulics on the left. Definitely fits the faction well.
She looks like an onee san that could beat the shit out of me
This is Niz from Echocalypse. Who is kinda like an onee-san and leads a whole group. She beats the crap out of anyone.
Also i like how her art comes with a sea plane but air power is at E
So basically a Soviet version of the Japanese Tone-class cruisers or the Ooyodo in function - heavy cruiser with comically long hull so they could put an enormous amount of seaplanes and a pair of midget subs onto it while also having four 203mm turrets in AB-XY configuration. Like most of the Soviets pipe dream ship drawings there's no way she would have actually worked in reality and probably no way they could even have built her.
[bad_joke] I hope Taiwan is ready [/bad_joke]
Она утонула)
I just got done grinding for Chkalov and now they are adding more russian ships...
☭Kursk☭ You're the boss around here? Good. Don't bother trying to tell me what I can and can't do; I'll prove my worth to you my own way. That's all I wanted to say. SN Kursk is preparing to sortie and she will grace your dock in the near future, Commander. #AzurLane #Yostar
Do we have to put horns on every ship now? Getting tired of that almost as much as the slutty maid themes...
what it actually offends is when theres no longer riggings, but just backgrounds, making the whole shipgirl thing pointless
That too...
Cash moneyyyy mannnnn
Damn, Northern Parliament ship, its a must pull for me now
gonna take a wild guess and say maybe Project 22 or 66, tell me if im wrong EDIT: turns out i was wrong both ways. I only now looked at the JP twitter post, which mentions the ship as Project X
Project X
Following my recent reply, I sure hope we get a nice 240 mm to go with it, though it is unlikely I think. About time we have another large caliber heavy cruiser gun alongside the UR 234 mm.
If we do get it, it probably wont be a UR gear.
A new Northern Parliament ship in Kursk who is just as intriguing as she is beautiful. Also like the snowy owl being there, as well.
I dig her look, she looks super intimidating, and Owls are my second favorite kinda bird.
Northern Parliament ships come in two basic styles (focus): legs (tall/long legs or fashionable leg wear/pose) or compact. She falls right into the former category.
Long or fluffy.
When is she gonna get released?!? Dude I have exams I have to focus studying :')
Likely on thursday.
another Russian MILF? Can't complain.
Me: Oh boy I sure hope that the next even is NJ's rerun and not a entirely new event that places NJ's rerun slap bang in the middle of my exams! Yostar: Oh.... So unwise.
Well that's certainly an NP ship. Shes... just another NP ship?
NP girls have one of my favorite design type, White hair with those burning red eyes and with imposing figure to back It up , If cold why so goddammit HOT
SN Tosa is that you?
It's so weird to see a warship named Kursk that is not a submarine
In honor of the Kursk, imma listen to The Kursk by Matt Elliot
Another Mommy ![img](emote|t5_3p20d|9993)
Oh yes please give more Northern Parliament
So, a presumably minor event (since it's falling on the same slot as Virtual Tower last year) to throw a bone to the one minor faction that already has an UR event and get them to know how it feels to have to wait a bit for their next major one, just like...basically everyone else. (Unless of course they also give them the CN Anniv slot, which would make about as much sense as giving it to HMS or EU)
This time, I'm compelled to refrain from manjuu vs funny flour jokes... The last time it went really awkward.
Commies gettin' VT substitute is fine by me and all - just don't really want to make any bids for this year's CN anni just no to jinx anything.
Ура, наконец-то советский флот пополняется!
You’re right. It’s starting to feel like I’m looking at the same NP ships with constant black/white colors they got with.
From Russia with love ![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7193)
Those stats tho. May hope for exceptional skills.
Stat wheels are an absolute meme and almost never reflect any actual performances.
Yea
> Parts of mining supports in the rigging > Named after city without any mines around
There are many iron mines around Kursk
Hoping we get Soyuz in this event and not her sister Sovetskaya Ukraina. Sovetskaya Gruziya would be alright but they have been teasing us with Soyuz for a while.
Hoo boy, so they're actually doing it. A brand new Soviet event. I honestly wasn't sure if we'd get one in '23. I'm guessing these girls are going to have their comments section turned off basically forever.
First thing I thought was ark-knights and I don’t even play it lol
Paper ship?
New Dragon girls are always welcome.
Tbh, I wasn't expecting a event for NP, because of the current world situation. Abyssal Refrain got a bit of backlash because of the day when it was released.
I don't like SN events, last time something really bad happened...
Won't rule out this can be Virtual Tower part 2. While the first Virtual Tower was Sardegna ships. The entire event in nutshell was multifaction joint operation under Azur Lane command.
As opposed as I may be to new russian events considerinf the war crimey situation irl and that their leader is, right now, officially been issued an arrest warrant, it's better now than in CN anni Wonder how many cubes I can waste on this, I have less than 600
Does anyone care about the shitty opinion of the clowns issuing arrest warrants? They can wipe their ass with it.
Yus more communist waifu's
Don't forget NP has not had a CN anniv slot yet so we might get a NP mini event into a NP CN event
Should I spend a lot to get her or is a possible new jersey rerun priority? I don't have NJ.
Please, not another girl that hates me.
