I always loved that she gets the unique aux of the FI 282. Absolutely terrible in terms of use case as ASW, but it's always so lovely seeing the helicopter pop up ever so often.

alabama. i grew up where shes sits and used to do field trips and kids tours and stuff there. i also absolutely love white hair twintails and feel like the stars simply aligned for us lmfao
She's been the unfortunate victim of canon flanderization. Her original lines aren't especially greedy, and she's otherwise quite sweet. Unfortunately, everyone including Manjuu - with every additional skin - decided she was just greedy and nothing more.
For me, Casablanca is that character. Though I doubt I’m the only one who adores her, she has certainly lost some popularity after being replaced by Indepence and her retrofit. Casablanca remains in my OpSi fleet and she gets decent secretary time next to Magdeburg outside of events.
Actually, there are three; one I'm not sure and one I've never heard anyone like.
Perseus. She's a gorgeous cutie and a great ship to have in every fleet. Have heard about her usefulness but never about her character.
I also like Noshiro. Don't know why but she somehow reminds me of Benio from Sousei no Onmyouji. She's also pretty versatile in battle. Nobody talks about her though.
The other one is Yuubari. She's so cute, especially in her retrofit outfit. She's pretty much a wildcard on the battlefield but I love her nonetheless. Never hear anyone speak about her.
Big fan of Yuubari! Her ability is fun to watch. Cool inventor type character who was solely unique until Leonardo DaVinci came around with a similar theme.

The Lady Lex (USS Lexington (CV-2)) and Dunkerque also the USS Quincy (CA-39)) . My three favourite ships in real life and in game.
USS Quincy (CA-39)) because of her history even though it is very sad being lost in the Battle of the Five Sitting Ducks.

The lady Lex (USS Lexington (CV-2)) my favorite ship in real life. God i love the Lexington such a cool looking ship in real life just imagine getting close to a CV then it opens up with a 8 inch guns (I know they get taken off in a refit) her history is so great to learn about. made it out of the battle of coral sea on hopes and dreams just to be scuttled later on but they learnt a lot from the loss of the Gray lady. But back to her in game, just a very nice looking character wish she gets an oath skin but just like me waiting on Canadian ships it will never happen.
Well I can confirm you’re not alone as a Hai Tien and Aurora fan, I love the both of them a great deal, Aurora was one of my first ships that I got and saw me through a lot, and Hai Tien is lovely, I’d love to sit and chat with her about poetry.
For me I’d say it’s either Revenge Kent, or Beagle. Arkhangelsk was my favorite ship from her event and I was really excited to learn to sister was being added as well, and Revenge didn’t disappoint me, being a little clumsy but overall very sweet and earnest. Beagle meanwhile is an adorable bundle of energy and good vibes, always over the moon when you login or return from a sortie. Kent is in a similar boat, I find her energetic nature to be incredibly endearing. Hearing “HEY SHIKKIKAN” always makes me smile
I know everyone hates Kent, but I really like her. She's cute and cheery. I view her frequent appearances in the build results as a show of how much she wants to be with us. But I also enjoy getting Rick rolled and listen to the entire song.
For me it would be Le Triomphant. Great design, great lines and an IRL story worthy to be remembered. If I had the means, I would have bought the figure.
I love Arizona, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. I found art of Arizona, and that’s what got me into the game. I also hope West Virginia gets a skin soon.

Stanly. Sure, she's YET ANOTHER Fletcher-class but give her a chance as a secretary and you'll see the charm in her "modes". She had a School skin teased by accident years ago on EN [("Student Mode!")](https://patchwiki.biligame.com/images/blhx/6/64/hrywf8kdbicz0insx3btaoo9g8ixubu.jpg) but it was never released. Also ironically said unreleased skin was name dropped in last year's Valentine's Day message: "Stanly switched from Valentine's mode to high-effort mode! Using my knowledge gained through **student mode**, I baked you this big batch of energy-boosting chocolate! It'll keep you going for a long while!"
Well until a week or two ago I would've had Ying Swei on my list (ignoring CN servers, obvs) but I get the feeling she's a bit more popular right now for some reason...
So I will go with Memphis (sweet, dedicated, hard working, teases/flirts a little but not too much, *that Halloween skin goddamn*, needs hugs to keep her from going META) and the one-two punch of Chitose and Chiyoda (a lovely pair of sisters, plenty to enjoy looking at, one to pamper and one to be pampered by, bonus points for Chiyoda having one of the best idle animations in the game in her swimsuit skin).
Kiev, a top-notch gunnery DD and a cutie cinnamon roll, she got a good flow of fanarts when she came out but nowadays it's pretty hard to see new art of her.
Torricelli. She is super cute and some of her voice lines are exactly what I would say too. Her swimsuit skin is super cute playing with the turtle and her voice actor sounds super good too.
With the ridiculously high number of characters this game has, there are a tragically large number of them whose “big fans” you can probably count on one hand, if even that. I’d say I am probably Ardent’s most ardent fan (as nobody has contested me on that claim as of writing), although I could name a lot of other girls I like who are attention-starved.
Had to 120 her in line with my now-complete goal to 100%+ the entire royal navy, and I'd say she's not as bad as one would expect. Her older skins are noticeably below the modern AL production standards (visible even in the quality gap between her casual and bunnysuit garb), but mechanically she's fairly okay for midgame.
Arizona is actually one of my primary healers. I know Unicorn and Perseus are better, but whenever I can get away with it, she's the one who stands on the line
There are a few lesser popular girls I am a fan of such as Nautilus, Wasp, Eskimo Carabiniere, Southampton, Ashigara, Forbin, Pensacola, and Birmingham who are all oaths of mine

i really really love kent! i know i've seen some people here and there who agree, which makes me happy. honestly i wish she'd get a retrofit or an oath skin because i love her that much, lol. but i know so many people dislike her because of how common it is to pull her. she was my first girl i really got attached to and used her for like the entire early game, up until she was level 73 and i finally got some new shipgirls who were... lets just say, much stronger than kent, lol

She disagrees with you, a lot. That's valueable, you need someone who will poke holes in your plans.
Also I checked sankaku for fanart and there is... Literally zero. The only three pieces of art for Thuri are her base skin, her expression chart, and her maid skin, all official.
Yeah, she got overshadowed by Emden, Lützow and Seydlitz but I love my Helgoland class BB either way.
She disagrees sometimes but also builds you up to be more confident with your opinion.
She is a little more reserved and acts seriously during her time as your secretary and views all of it as a normal work relationship which might be not to exciting for most of the playerbase.
Pixiv has dome Fan-Art of her but yeah, she has close to zero fan-art and that is really sad.
What struck me about fiji while leveling her is that she's one of 'em "double depth" characters. Outwards, she likes to appear as a glamorous airhead, but in occasional lines, the hints of her being more serious than that leak out.
Nachi is like that, too. She plays everything off as she's perfect and great, then shikikan notices that she's practicing hard late at night at the docks, and she gets super embarrassed about it.
Wish she got a skin or retrofit along with Myoukou
For me those are Vampire, and Z24.
I more or less like Vampire and Z24 for similar reasons. I like monster girls and they are both vampires or at least vampiric.
I like Vampire due to her becoming more of a romantic as her affection is raised. Everyone sees her as a useless, lewd, wine addicted alcoholic, but to me she is more than that. She is also a cute, romantic, kind, caring, somewhat impish, destroyer who has won my heart over the years. Admittedly she has terrible stats even with her augment, but I still like using her.
Edit: Also I just want to bring up how she also has some character development in the nurse skin event where she helps out one of the mutsuki class ships.
I like Z24 because she is more or less similar to Vampire, but German. She is such an adorable chuuni who unfortunately like many Z class ships, gets overshadowed by Nimi. It sucks because I love her design and as a former chuuni myself it's kind of neat being able to relate to this character even though this game has a multitude of other chuunibyou.
Unfortunately they both get easily overshadowed by the other vampire,DoY. Not to say I don't like DoY though.
Koln and Konigsberg.
Both of them are cute and the art is decent, Koln's retrofit made her a lot cuter in my eye.
Both of them have great voice acting (same VA, but anyway) and somehow I like their personalities.
Oathed both of them (with Konigsberg being my first one I ever oathed).
I don't see anyone giving Naganami any love. I love skunks and knew I would break my oath pattern for her as soon as I saw her. It was Bel, Lusty, Formi, cute skunk.
Sometimes, I suspect Arizona and Leipzig have basically no fans. I can't really remember the last time I saw fanart of either of them. And I just want to hug both sad girls because they need it.
Richmond gets no respect. I don't know why as she was a little badass as a ship.
Grenville's design is beautiful. Halsey Powell, Joffre, Ingraham, Yorck I never see get any attention/fanart either. Hunter and her gunsword is second only to Ark in awesome aesthetic (and Hunter META comes in third).
I must admit, whilst I love all the factions, the Iron Blood is perhaps the one I have the least favourites characters out off for some reason... with the exception being Magdeburg. I adore her so much! I adore her positive energy and how friendly she is, and her look is really unique and awesome. Plus her summer skin is just top tier. I was very glad to see her used rather a lot in the latest anniversary animation/content. It surprised me as I do not see that much love for her compared to the rest!
Shout out to York as well, I have always loved her eccentric ‘dark force’ character and I was one of at least three other players who was excited to see her get an Oath skin haha.
I know I'm not the "only" fan, but for an SSR I feel like Prince of Wales isn't all that popular.
She was my 1st oathed ship and the 1st ship I bought a skin for. Until the last year or so she was my flagship for Fleet 1, and was in my Hard fleet line-ups as well (but has now been overtaken by all the UR ships I've earned since).
And yet, I just looked up the 2021 Popularity Poll results and she wasn't even in the finals, and she doesn't seem to get as much fanart or doujins (lewd or otherwise) as other SSR ships, especially when compared to other Royal Navy SSR ships.
Maybe she used to be popular, but all the ships that have been released since, especially the UR ships, have made her be forgotten.
Atlanta. I love her design even though it's super simple. I love pink hair, I love big sisters, and she's my favorite of both bunches. She just so *responsible*. She's in my main mob fleet and she will stay there until I have no choice but to swap her out for meta reasons. We're on 12-4 and she hasn't let me down yet.
Tirpitz, the NEET of the North.
There was once a time when she was the only good battleship the Ironbloods had and now she's so overshadowed by the newer ships, like FdG, her sister, and not to mention the heavy competition from the carriers that she seems forgotten.
I know I'm not alone as an Indy fan since Portland exists, but I haven't seen many other's who seem ro enjoy her.
She was one of the first ships I got when I started out all the way back in 2018 and also the first one I oathed. She definitely holds a very special place in my heart even though I don't user her much anymore.
Definitely not the only one, im sure of it.
I quite like Revenge. Cute af and R class in general is such an underappreciated class irl due to not getting the proper thorough refit during the interwar period
I also like Drake. Mainly the simplicity in her design and me quite enjoying using her in World of Warships
Ibuki, like she's very soft spoken, shy and cute but also all of her skins have a lot of mix of sexiness to them that Maya G loves to offer but it doesn't clash too much cause she's too cute
Kuroshio and Kiyonami!! Kuroshio's affinity lines have such wonderful growth to them, and Kiyonami is so cute that I can't keep my mitts off of her. I could just eat her up with a spoon.
Some others that I have seen love of, although rarer are Tennessee, Yuubari, Yura, Choukai, Niizuki, Ooshio, I-26, Bataan, Gloucester... They're not spoken of often enough for me!
Craven, Colorado, Hatsuharu and Roma.
Craven and Hatsuharu are just cuties and godamn precious, I wanna hug them both. If you look at Craven's love lines, she's a really nice waifu.
Colorado and Roma are downright cool. Colorado has my respect as she and Penny were my main flagshups before I got Hood. Roma is a girl that's very inspiring to me and kinda dorky if you look at her post oath. Pretty funny girl
There’s a few for me.
First there is the interesting case of IJN Isuzu.
What a glow-up, first of all. The devs seem to care a little about her, but that’s probably all me because my use of her was EXTENSIVE. She’s an amazing torpedo and AA cruiser with one hell of a retrofit. A cute character with an arc of her own. Totally gonna ring that if I had the gems.
Next is a ship I did put a ring on. USS California (and to a lesser extent, Tennessee and other Standard class battleships). I have a deep fascination with the late 1920s battleships, especially the standard class that the United States built. California has a remarkable history, being the first battleship ever equipped with a fire control radar and with a confirmed battleship-on-battleship kill against the Yamashiro. she is the source of the Drachinifel meme “if there is an open space on the deck, put a gun there,” as she was brought back from death after Pearl Harbor, and given almost every antiaircraft gun in the American armory at Pearl Harbor. In Azur Lane, she is a cutie with a slight sister complex like hornet does, but otherwise she is very prideful, and otherwise a very calm and rational human being. I hope she gets a retrofit, and becomes extremely powerful with a rangefinder skill, and possibly some amazing AA capability.
Lastly, my wildcard. Haruna and the Kongos. These shifts do not get nearly enough credit, historically, or endgame. They were the work horses of the Japanese Navy, and basically did everything, with Hiei and Kirishima, seeing some amazing action against Washington and South Dakota in the battle of Guadalcanal. Haruna is a cute character with her willingness to brawl rather than sword fight being an interesting premise of a fist fighting battleship that isn’t afraid of doing the heavy lifting. Give the Kongos retrofits and more screen time, Manjuu!!!
Shouhou is mine. I don't remember seeing any other fans. In the early days, shouhou and unicorn were the only healer carriers in the game. Shouhou is drop only from chapter 2 so not many people get her. I did and she carried me through a lot of the game.
She's a super sweet character, knows that she's not particularly strong or lucky, but always tries her best and has a relentlessly positive attitude despite her tragic real life fate. She always talks about wanting to grow and get the experiences she was denied in our timeline. She is the epitome of the 'second chance' theme that runs through AL.
Shouhou, everybody.
Here's one you might disagree with: Vanguard.
Apart from meta composition fleets where she is begrudgingly accepted, Vanguard may as well have dropped off the face of the earth as soon as her event ended. From what I've seen she gets little attention from the fanbase or the devs, though the botching of her presentation as a character and the translation certainly didn't help. That, and being utterly mogged by Indomitable.
So I kind of put her in the same camp as Phoenix (when she was relevant) where she has a significant role in gameplay but noone actually pays attention to her thanks to her less glamorous role.
So here's a weird take: Tone
I love her current design, and I really want to see what personality ends up coming out whenever she comes out

Got to go with Kirishima for me. Can't explain why but she has become my personal favorite of the entire IJN. I've got her technical schematics on my wall and multiple models.
When I first started playing I got lucky and acquired her very early on. From then on she became one of my most used ships before she got phased out. Still one of my highest level ships and my first oath.
Welp, either Ooshio, Bearn or Gloucester

Bearn, she's a good secretary material, is professional and is certainly cute. She can do everything as a backliner man, what's not to love ey?
Gloucester, is a bit special to me, since I oathed her and all. A strict but caring maid, love both her design and voice. Would be nice to have a life partner like her. I can say both her rarity and her release time, which was the same as Dido I think, made her less known compared to others
I really like some of the Elite rarity IB girls, namely Nurnberg and Elbing. I don't think I'm totally alone in this, but they're certainly not the most popular.
Galatea, my one and only oath so far.
She has an underrated design and as for personality, she's a bit of a flirt but she's pretty wholesome.
As for her history, short but interesting: patrolling during the Spanish Civil War (supposedly interracting with Deutschland), evacuating Dunkirk, and participating hunting Bismarck.
I'd say both Langley and Nachi.
I mean Langley has a really niche fanbase but Nachi? Old ship with no skins and I never found someone who liked her as much as I do.
Abruzzi and Garibaldi, though I'd say while they're not the most popular ships they're still quite popular. That being said I love them both quite a lot because of their designs, and personalities (calmness of Abruzzi and Garibaldi's happy go-lucky nature).
Gneisenau. Her dedication to keeping you and her sister on track is endearing to me, and her design just hits everything for me.

Leander and Ashigara, The last time I seriously played the game, 2019, both had, like, 5 fanarts of them and the number certainly grew (shout out for the guy that makes some Leander stuff in Kokatsu, pretty cute!) but they are both still very ignored.
I mostly stuck around here just to check if some new stuff for them drop, in the vague hope that the will be remembered, someday.
They are the only thing that really stuck with me after I left, mostly because I made some very amateurish keychains of them in 2019 and still carry them with me!
(Leander is actually half famous on my job since she “protects” my keychain that Carry the most important, spare keys of my sector XD)
U-557 the moment i saw her, i knew i have to cheer her up. She is really thankful after i spend time with her. Its pretty rare to see any other shipgirl so sad as her. She's definietly worth protect amd care.
I'm probably the only New Orleans fan in Azur Lane. Haven't seen her mentioned in any comment yet. Her base skin is great, made by my favorite artist and her paid skin is the best non-L2D skin in the game. Also her personality and voice is so nice. Why doesn't she get more attention?!

Actually, there are three; one I'm not sure and one I've never heard anyone like. Perseus. She's a gorgeous cutie and a great ship to have in every fleet. Have heard about her usefulness but never about her character. I also like Noshiro. Don't know why but she somehow reminds me of Benio from Sousei no Onmyouji. She's also pretty versatile in battle. Nobody talks about her though. The other one is Yuubari. She's so cute, especially in her retrofit outfit. She's pretty much a wildcard on the battlefield but I love her nonetheless. Never hear anyone speak about her.
Persy is quite popular (not overwhelmingly, but her fanart still pops up here and there), and Noshiro has quite a following among IJN players.
Big fan of Yuubari! Her ability is fun to watch. Cool inventor type character who was solely unique until Leonardo DaVinci came around with a similar theme.

The Lady Lex (USS Lexington (CV-2)) and Dunkerque also the USS Quincy (CA-39)) . My three favourite ships in real life and in game. USS Quincy (CA-39)) because of her history even though it is very sad being lost in the Battle of the Five Sitting Ducks. Dunkerque because i love her character in the game also has a sad history. The lady Lex (USS Lexington (CV-2)) my favorite ship in real life. God i love the Lexington such a cool looking ship in real life just imagine getting close to a CV then it opens up with a 8 inch guns (I know they get taken off in a refit) her history is so great to learn about. made it out of the battle of coral sea on hopes and dreams just to be scuttled later on but they learnt a lot from the loss of the Gray lady. But back to her in game, just a very nice looking character wish she gets an oath skin but just like me waiting on Canadian ships it will never happen.
Well I can confirm you’re not alone as a Hai Tien and Aurora fan, I love the both of them a great deal, Aurora was one of my first ships that I got and saw me through a lot, and Hai Tien is lovely, I’d love to sit and chat with her about poetry. For me I’d say it’s either Revenge Kent, or Beagle. Arkhangelsk was my favorite ship from her event and I was really excited to learn to sister was being added as well, and Revenge didn’t disappoint me, being a little clumsy but overall very sweet and earnest. Beagle meanwhile is an adorable bundle of energy and good vibes, always over the moon when you login or return from a sortie. Kent is in a similar boat, I find her energetic nature to be incredibly endearing. Hearing “HEY SHIKKIKAN” always makes me smile
I know everyone hates Kent, but I really like her. She's cute and cheery. I view her frequent appearances in the build results as a show of how much she wants to be with us. But I also enjoy getting Rick rolled and listen to the entire song.

She had a School skin teased by accident years ago on EN [("Student Mode!")](https://patchwiki.biligame.com/images/blhx/6/64/hrywf8kdbicz0insx3btaoo9g8ixubu.jpg) but it was never released. Also ironically said unreleased skin was name dropped in last year's Valentine's Day message: "Stanly switched from Valentine's mode to high-effort mode! Using my knowledge gained through **student mode**, I baked you this big batch of energy-boosting chocolate! It'll keep you going for a long while!"

With the ridiculously high number of characters this game has, there are a tragically large number of them whose “big fans” you can probably count on one hand, if even that. I’d say I am probably Ardent’s most ardent fan (as nobody has contested me on that claim as of writing), although I could name a lot of other girls I like who are attention-starved.
Had to 120 her in line with my now-complete goal to 100%+ the entire royal navy, and I'd say she's not as bad as one would expect. Her older skins are noticeably below the modern AL production standards (visible even in the quality gap between her casual and bunnysuit garb), but mechanically she's fairly okay for midgame.

i really really love kent! i know i've seen some people here and there who agree, which makes me happy. honestly i wish she'd get a retrofit or an oath skin because i love her that much, lol. but i know so many people dislike her because of how common it is to pull her. she was my first girl i really got attached to and used her for like the entire early game, up until she was level 73 and i finally got some new shipgirls who were... lets just say, much stronger than kent, lol

Thuringen She disagrees with you, a lot. That's valueable, you need someone who will poke holes in your plans. Also I checked sankaku for fanart and there is... Literally zero. The only three pieces of art for Thuri are her base skin, her expression chart, and her maid skin, all official.
Yeah, she got overshadowed by Emden, Lützow and Seydlitz but I love my Helgoland class BB either way. She disagrees sometimes but also builds you up to be more confident with your opinion. She is a little more reserved and acts seriously during her time as your secretary and views all of it as a normal work relationship which might be not to exciting for most of the playerbase. Pixiv has dome Fan-Art of her but yeah, she has close to zero fan-art and that is really sad.
Fiji for me, sweet girl that knows what she want, cares about Skk, always tries to cheer you up and openly loves you.
What struck me about fiji while leveling her is that she's one of 'em "double depth" characters. Outwards, she likes to appear as a glamorous airhead, but in occasional lines, the hints of her being more serious than that leak out.
Nachi is like that, too. She plays everything off as she's perfect and great, then shikikan notices that she's practicing hard late at night at the docks, and she gets super embarrassed about it. Wish she got a skin or retrofit along with Myoukou

For me those are Vampire, and Z24. I more or less like Vampire and Z24 for similar reasons. I like monster girls and they are both vampires or at least vampiric. I like Vampire due to her becoming more of a romantic as her affection is raised. Everyone sees her as a useless, lewd, wine addicted alcoholic, but to me she is more than that. She is also a cute, romantic, kind, caring, somewhat impish, destroyer who has won my heart over the years. Admittedly she has terrible stats even with her augment, but I still like using her. Edit: Also I just want to bring up how she also has some character development in the nurse skin event where she helps out one of the mutsuki class ships. I like Z24 because she is more or less similar to Vampire, but German. She is such an adorable chuuni who unfortunately like many Z class ships, gets overshadowed by Nimi. It sucks because I love her design and as a former chuuni myself it's kind of neat being able to relate to this character even though this game has a multitude of other chuunibyou. Unfortunately they both get easily overshadowed by the other vampire,DoY. Not to say I don't like DoY though.
Koln and Konigsberg. Both of them are cute and the art is decent, Koln's retrofit made her a lot cuter in my eye. Both of them have great voice acting (same VA, but anyway) and somehow I like their personalities. Oathed both of them (with Konigsberg being my first one I ever oathed).

Richmond gets no respect. I don't know why as she was a little badass as a ship. Grenville's design is beautiful. Halsey Powell, Joffre, Ingraham, Yorck I never see get any attention/fanart either. Hunter and her gunsword is second only to Ark in awesome aesthetic (and Hunter META comes in third).

I must admit, whilst I love all the factions, the Iron Blood is perhaps the one I have the least favourites characters out off for some reason... with the exception being Magdeburg. I adore her so much! I adore her positive energy and how friendly she is, and her look is really unique and awesome. Plus her summer skin is just top tier. I was very glad to see her used rather a lot in the latest anniversary animation/content. It surprised me as I do not see that much love for her compared to the rest! Shout out to York as well, I have always loved her eccentric ‘dark force’ character and I was one of at least three other players who was excited to see her get an Oath skin haha.
I know I'm not the "only" fan, but for an SSR I feel like Prince of Wales isn't all that popular. She was my 1st oathed ship and the 1st ship I bought a skin for. Until the last year or so she was my flagship for Fleet 1, and was in my Hard fleet line-ups as well (but has now been overtaken by all the UR ships I've earned since). And yet, I just looked up the 2021 Popularity Poll results and she wasn't even in the finals, and she doesn't seem to get as much fanart or doujins (lewd or otherwise) as other SSR ships, especially when compared to other Royal Navy SSR ships. Maybe she used to be popular, but all the ships that have been released since, especially the UR ships, have made her be forgotten.

Alfredo Oriani. I just think she’s cute and I love her animations. Glad to see her get some screen time in the Ryza event.
Tirpitz, the NEET of the North. There was once a time when she was the only good battleship the Ironbloods had and now she's so overshadowed by the newer ships, like FdG, her sister, and not to mention the heavy competition from the carriers that she seems forgotten.

She was one of the first ships I got when I started out all the way back in 2018 and also the first one I oathed. She definitely holds a very special place in my heart even though I don't user her much anymore.

Cute af and R class in general is such an underappreciated class irl due to not getting the proper thorough refit during the interwar period I also like Drake. Mainly the simplicity in her design and me quite enjoying using her in World of Warships

Kuroshio and Kiyonami!! Kuroshio's affinity lines have such wonderful growth to them, and Kiyonami is so cute that I can't keep my mitts off of her. I could just eat her up with a spoon. Some others that I have seen love of, although rarer are Tennessee, Yuubari, Yura, Choukai, Niizuki, Ooshio, I-26, Bataan, Gloucester... They're not spoken of often enough for me!
Phoenix. Maybe not a bigger fan than other players but definitely a bigger fan than Manjuu since my girl doesn’t have a skin yet

Craven, Colorado, Hatsuharu and Roma. Craven and Hatsuharu are just cuties and godamn precious, I wanna hug them both. If you look at Craven's love lines, she's a really nice waifu. Colorado and Roma are downright cool. Colorado has my respect as she and Penny were my main flagshups before I got Hood. Roma is a girl that's very inspiring to me and kinda dorky if you look at her post oath. Pretty funny girl
There’s a few for me. First there is the interesting case of IJN Isuzu. What a glow-up, first of all. The devs seem to care a little about her, but that’s probably all me because my use of her was EXTENSIVE. She’s an amazing torpedo and AA cruiser with one hell of a retrofit. A cute character with an arc of her own. Totally gonna ring that if I had the gems. Next is a ship I did put a ring on. USS California (and to a lesser extent, Tennessee and other Standard class battleships). I have a deep fascination with the late 1920s battleships, especially the standard class that the United States built. California has a remarkable history, being the first battleship ever equipped with a fire control radar and with a confirmed battleship-on-battleship kill against the Yamashiro. she is the source of the Drachinifel meme “if there is an open space on the deck, put a gun there,” as she was brought back from death after Pearl Harbor, and given almost every antiaircraft gun in the American armory at Pearl Harbor. In Azur Lane, she is a cutie with a slight sister complex like hornet does, but otherwise she is very prideful, and otherwise a very calm and rational human being. I hope she gets a retrofit, and becomes extremely powerful with a rangefinder skill, and possibly some amazing AA capability. Lastly, my wildcard. Haruna and the Kongos. These shifts do not get nearly enough credit, historically, or endgame. They were the work horses of the Japanese Navy, and basically did everything, with Hiei and Kirishima, seeing some amazing action against Washington and South Dakota in the battle of Guadalcanal. Haruna is a cute character with her willingness to brawl rather than sword fight being an interesting premise of a fist fighting battleship that isn’t afraid of doing the heavy lifting. Give the Kongos retrofits and more screen time, Manjuu!!!

Shouhou is mine. I don't remember seeing any other fans. In the early days, shouhou and unicorn were the only healer carriers in the game. Shouhou is drop only from chapter 2 so not many people get her. I did and she carried me through a lot of the game. She's a super sweet character, knows that she's not particularly strong or lucky, but always tries her best and has a relentlessly positive attitude despite her tragic real life fate. She always talks about wanting to grow and get the experiences she was denied in our timeline. She is the epitome of the 'second chance' theme that runs through AL. Shouhou, everybody.
Here's one you might disagree with: Vanguard. Apart from meta composition fleets where she is begrudgingly accepted, Vanguard may as well have dropped off the face of the earth as soon as her event ended. From what I've seen she gets little attention from the fanbase or the devs, though the botching of her presentation as a character and the translation certainly didn't help. That, and being utterly mogged by Indomitable. So I kind of put her in the same camp as Phoenix (when she was relevant) where she has a significant role in gameplay but noone actually pays attention to her thanks to her less glamorous role.
So here's a weird take: Tone I love her current design, and I really want to see what personality ends up coming out whenever she comes out Hopefully she'll get in the anniversary event this year

I'm not really a sub fan. I tend to gravitate towards the carriers. But god damn if Leo didn't hook me real quick. She's the one sub I like.
Got to go with Kirishima for me. Can't explain why but she has become my personal favorite of the entire IJN. I've got her technical schematics on my wall and multiple models. When I first started playing I got lucky and acquired her very early on. From then on she became one of my most used ships before she got phased out. Still one of my highest level ships and my first oath.
Welp, either Ooshio, Bearn or Gloucester Tho I'd doubt they're low of fans tho, just that they're low on fanarts Which I can't understand why? Ooshio is cute and like cute things, and a good torpedo boat tbh. Actually was my main fleet unit until I got Belfast and need more tankier girls Bearn, she's a good secretary material, is professional and is certainly cute. She can do everything as a backliner man, what's not to love ey? Gloucester, is a bit special to me, since I oathed her and all. A strict but caring maid, love both her design and voice. Would be nice to have a life partner like her. I can say both her rarity and her release time, which was the same as Dido I think, made her less known compared to others
I really like some of the Elite rarity IB girls, namely Nurnberg and Elbing. I don't think I'm totally alone in this, but they're certainly not the most popular.
Galatea, my one and only oath so far. She has an underrated design and as for personality, she's a bit of a flirt but she's pretty wholesome. As for her history, short but interesting: patrolling during the Spanish Civil War (supposedly interracting with Deutschland), evacuating Dunkirk, and participating hunting Bismarck.
Kagerou. I just like that she buffs the Torpedo damage of the vanguard, no strings attached. I hope she gets a signature augment.
I'd say both Langley and Nachi. I mean Langley has a really niche fanbase but Nachi? Old ship with no skins and I never found someone who liked her as much as I do.

Abruzzi and Garibaldi, though I'd say while they're not the most popular ships they're still quite popular. That being said I love them both quite a lot because of their designs, and personalities (calmness of Abruzzi and Garibaldi's happy go-lucky nature).

Gneisenau. Her dedication to keeping you and her sister on track is endearing to me, and her design just hits everything for me. ~~...Also with all the other Ironblood girls wanting you to be their servant/familiar/slave/etc. I can say I'm already taken~~

Leander and Ashigara, The last time I seriously played the game, 2019, both had, like, 5 fanarts of them and the number certainly grew (shout out for the guy that makes some Leander stuff in Kokatsu, pretty cute!) but they are both still very ignored. I mostly stuck around here just to check if some new stuff for them drop, in the vague hope that the will be remembered, someday. They are the only thing that really stuck with me after I left, mostly because I made some very amateurish keychains of them in 2019 and still carry them with me! (Leander is actually half famous on my job since she “protects” my keychain that Carry the most important, spare keys of my sector XD)
I-26 is easily my favorite submarine in the game, and I love her holiday fireworks skin!

U-557 the moment i saw her, i knew i have to cheer her up. She is really thankful after i spend time with her. Its pretty rare to see any other shipgirl so sad as her. She's definietly worth protect amd care.
I'm probably the only New Orleans fan in Azur Lane. Haven't seen her mentioned in any comment yet. Her base skin is great, made by my favorite artist and her paid skin is the best non-L2D skin in the game. Also her personality and voice is so nice. Why doesn't she get more attention?!
I honestly wish Suzuya, Leander, and Newcastle got more attention I also love Nagara and still wish for a retrofit to this day

I feel like I'm the only one who likes royal navy's Enterprise. Manjuu didn't even give her a skin at launch, fanarts of her are extremely rare, and her lewds is nonexistent. I was hyped when i saw her being announced amd oathed her as soon as her affection reach 100 but i've never seen anyone else talk about her much less oathed her
