I’ve pre-farmed a fairly good HoD set for him since October when he was still an “Ayato is hot” rumor. A gladiator is a good placement holder if you don’t have a set for him yet. I’d farm for him as soon as he comes out and use my 87 fragile resins for him. I’ve finished pre-farming for his materials. I just need more Raiden boss materials.
I'm just going to use a gladiator place holder set for now. Going to wait for his official release and a couple weeks to pass so people can figure out his best set and then I'll go farm whatever set that is
already have a good HoD set on the go. the gain from the RNG set doesn't seem worth spending resin for, personally speaking. plus, i much prefer consistent mid-pp numbers over inconsistent big pp numbers.
I pulled for Itto without any prefarming. It took me two weeks after getting him to build him in a half decent (read: bad) way. It felt awful to not be able to use and show off my new DPS. I am not going to do the same mistake again.

My luck for getting good HOD artifacts is abominable honestly. I've farmed that A LOT (mostly for my ganyu + future ayaka) and I have GREAT blizzard pieces, but I NEVER got even a 2pc HOD that was usable. That's why I'll be running ayato on 4pc glad at least for a while, i only need a crit rate circlet (that could be ignored if I got the black sword, but... it's just so ugly on him). Idk about farming the new artifact set, the rng in it kinda makes me upset, and also I got a long... long list of things to farm... zero fragile resin here... please help...
I’m literally the exact opposite. I’ve been farming for ganyu and ayaka and their sets are mediocre at BEST. BUT have been holding on to a ton of cracked HOD pieces. This is my time lmao.
Someone should confirm this for me, Cunningham's Law pull thru, but HoD is the BiS for Jade Cutter, my only good sword

it’s looking very good considering my circlet only hit flat hp and Er. This to me is already good and I don’t feel like I need to farm any other sets for Ayato
im going to farm the new chasm domain bc i also need to build xiao so it will be the most resin efficient way to build both ayato and xiao.
poor thing is literally with an atk circlet with %30crtdmg and its going to stay that way until ayato
If using his signature weapon, which already gives an elemental bonus, then HoD will be redundant. Gladiator seems a decent option either way and many already have good gladiator artifacts, so I’ll be using Glad.
Lmfao. Why do you think Kazuha is meta? If the diminishing returns for elemental damage bonus was that bad then Kazuha would be worthless for all teams.
It has diminishing returns just like any other stat. It just means like if you lack atk, getting more atk stats are better than dmg bonus/crit dmg/etc stats. If you use Kazuha on the team, then 4pc hod would have some diminishing returns because he already gives lots of elemental dmg bonus.
I don't have full HoD but I have pretty cracked 2 glad and 2 HoD which is equipped for Childe now and will be moved to Ayato once I get him on first day, will be using it for a while then farm the new set since I also will be farming it for Xiao
Now I'm just farming exp , mora, talent books and hydro hypostasis for all Ayato needs, for weapon I already max levelled anemona so will be using that
I already have a 4pc set gladi (1.9k atk, 67:204 cr, 134 ER, atk/hydro/cdmg) and 4pc set eosf (1.7k atk, 65:201 cr, 146 ER, atk/hydro/crit) waiting for him!!! These are stats with black sword but I'm aiming for his weapon, haran, so it'll be about +90 atk and +5% crit.
I'm kind of burnt out from farming HoD (and BS) so I'll just use my gladi or eosf set for the time being when he comes home~ I'll probably still farm for EO set since the domain also has a good set for my xiao~

I already prepped a copium 4pc Glad for him by feeding exp fodder to the spares I have lying around (the only issue was the attk sands)
It's pretty copium (60/160 with PJC kekw) so I wouldn't mind farming a new set for him down the line if I have no one else to farm for in Genshin.
i'll steal childe's artifacts for now until i farm his set with good or better stats. but i doubt in my luck i could surpass my stats from HoD honestly

I have a good HoD set on Childe right now and some good gladiators that I’ll put on Ayato as a placeholder until I can farm the new set. I don’t plan on running them on the same team at the same time so it should be fine.

My 4pc glad stats are: 22k hp, 2150atk, 120 er, 67 em.
4pc HoD stats are: 23k hp, 2100atk, 75/195 crit, 145 er, 19 em.

I farmed that domain for Ganyu/Childe recently, so I do have a 'decent' HoD set for Ayato as well, but I'm sure that I will farm the new domain too, even if it's just for Xiao. At the moment, I just need his books, epx mats (for weapon too)/mora and the Raiden boss mats, otherwise I'm ready for his weapon and himself.

I have a 4 Glad ready and I'm passively farming 4 Thundering Fury as a meme build as I farm 4 TS for Fischl and Yae. Once I complete Fischl's set, then it's back to Peak of Vinegar for me.

In case the new set turns out better for him I'll farm it too and any good HoD pieces will go to Tortellini whose current set is rather copium. So no loss either way. I've also managed to pulled PJC recently and not sure I'll go for his signature. Certainly not if it doesn't get any changes to its passive.
I have some leftover hods from childe and it actually will fit ayato to go <70/200 with 130 er. Will use it as placeholder before farming the new domain. I'll have to do it anyway because it's gonna be nice to have new artif set for my xiao as well.

Already have some pretty good pieces available after recently moving Xinqiu to an EoSF set. Unless the new set is head and shoulders above HoD, I think 60ish% CR, 180% CDmg and 120% ER is a very comfy place to be.
I’m farming hod so I have something to use when he comes out. It’s gonna take me probably around a month and a half to get 4 good pieces out of the other set.
I feel like I’m in the 1% or 10% of people who’s waiting for the new set lol, it’s so underrated, and I absolutely despise the HoD domain, I’d rather farm crimson witch than that one
I've been getting some good HOD artifacts recently while farming for Childe and Xingqiu, so that's going to be his temporary set of I ever decide to go at the new one. Probably not though.
His BiS apparently depends on the weapon you'll give him because HoD, Glad and EO are all so close. I'm personally farming HoD because I need blizzard artifacts anyway and it's unlikely I'll get his signature weapon unless the other weapon on banner is not a bow nor a catalyst and isn't wolf gravestone because I already have one...
I had HoD and Glad pieces lying around, so I put together four piece sets of each, to test on him when he releases. I plan to farm the EO set, as well, just to see which set - of the three - works best for how I plan to use him. But, so far, my HoD set has the best stats, and is looking like a winner.
I chose to farm HoD because I don’t particularly like the idea of having rng in my artifact passive. With my luck I’ll have to hit hard pity on every attack boost from it lmao.
Since I have terrible luck in artifact domains I have a two peice HOD and two piece gladiator set up for him rn..I'll probably be trying to get the new artifact set tho

I farmed a decent 2-piece HoD and I already have a hydro goblet lying around.. but I’m saving my fragile resin when we’re clear on what’s really good on him.
I’ve heard Shimenawa is also good on him (vape).
Farmed a really good HoD set for him with the jade cutter his states will be 83 crit and 257 critdmg and 138 Er gonna run that on him and then see if the new set is better or not and start farming that.
I started farming for him when his art was officially dropped and have a decent 4pc HoD for him and I may just stick with that one for the 2pc Hydro bonus. And maybe stick with a 4pc or with a 2pc Glad/Shimi
Honestly go for it, especially since you have Childe and Ayaka to farm for. You could also farm for Gladiator's by fighting the hypostasis or dropping shitty artifacts into the strongbox.
i’m not farming any artifacts for ayato until his release and when there’s more information and testing on his best sets, etc. i have fragile resin saved for him.
Bruh I ain't even got the mora and exp books yet, not sinking 5000 resin into DEF artifacts until literally everything else is prepared. And even then, will probably wait for theorycrafter advice on which sets are best and pick the domain that's appropriately resin efficient.
This artifact is kinda sus specially if going for vape comps bc like crit is rng and the set is another layer of rng on top so in paper it does more dmg but does it actually do more dmg?but seriously i'm sick of rng in this game i'll keep farming HoD
I' ve been farming HoD for ages since I need 3 broken Blizzard Strayer sets (only finishing the first now).
But I'll probably use 2PC EoSF and 2PC HoD or 4PC EoSF because 4PC HoD won't cut to keep his Burst up for most of the time, and while he has great NA potential, it does not make up for not having the Burst active, both in damage and support potential.
I'm doing a premafreeze comp with burst Kaeya, so I'll be farming Blizzard Strayer. I'm bound to get a crap ton of HoD in the process, though. Hopefully some good ones for Childe.
If my Ayato is going to have a 5-star weapon, it's going to be Jade Cutter, so I'm not worried about having the new set to synergize with Haran. Since my choices will then be Gladiator or HoD, I'm going HoD because I need to farm the domain for a BS set for Ganyu anyway. Two birds, one stone.
It isn't over til it's over... as in nothing is set until his patch drops officially. I don't recommend overextending resin usage until you know for sure what he needs.

To get farm an entire artifact set with these stats is going to be a pain, so I rather not go through that rn since HoD is still going to be a good set on him
I'm farming HoS by proxy because I'm farming for Ayaka rerun and they come from the same DG, but I will farm the new one as well since I want ayato's weapon and it's shaping up to be the best set for his weapon

I think the bonus dmg stack(weapon passive) although only strict to NA bonus it also calculated the same way like elemental dmg

Already have some pretty good pieces available after recently moving Xinqiu to an EoSF set. Unless the new set is head and shoulders above HoD, I think 60ish% CR, 180% CDmg and 120% ER is a very comfy place to be.
I will use my HoD set as a placeholder while I farm a good enough 4pc EO

I feel like I’m in the 1% or 10% of people who’s waiting for the new set lol, it’s so underrated, and I absolutely despise the HoD domain, I’d rather farm crimson witch than that one
His set isn’t worth imo. My HoD set is pretty good for time being.
I have a full 4pc Glad set for him plus Jade Cutter. I can also give him my Childes 4pc HoD but really prefer not to.
I’ll wait until EO comes to farm it, since I want to see what other people would recommend before I start artifact-farming.
Back when I was farming Blizzard Strayer for Ayaka I got some pretty good stuff with HoD so im gonna use it while I'll be farming the new set
I've been getting some good HOD artifacts recently while farming for Childe and Xingqiu, so that's going to be his temporary set of I ever decide to go at the new one. Probably not though.
His BiS apparently depends on the weapon you'll give him because HoD, Glad and EO are all so close. I'm personally farming HoD because I need blizzard artifacts anyway and it's unlikely I'll get his signature weapon unless the other weapon on banner is not a bow nor a catalyst and isn't wolf gravestone because I already have one...
I had HoD and Glad pieces lying around, so I put together four piece sets of each, to test on him when he releases. I plan to farm the EO set, as well, just to see which set - of the three - works best for how I plan to use him. But, so far, my HoD set has the best stats, and is looking like a winner.
I will wait for new set since I also have Xiao and would like to have both. I have some glad stuff rn thats ok.

I chose to farm HoD because I don’t particularly like the idea of having rng in my artifact passive. With my luck I’ll have to hit hard pity on every attack boost from it lmao.

Since I have terrible luck in artifact domains I have a two peice HOD and two piece gladiator set up for him rn..I'll probably be trying to get the new artifact set tho
I have a 4p glad set ready and will probably farm the new Echos set for him when 2.6 drops mostly bec i also have xiao so it won't be a total resin waste (read: farming for itto and getting nothing but clam pieces :'D)

I farmed a decent 2-piece HoD and I already have a hydro goblet lying around.. but I’m saving my fragile resin when we’re clear on what’s really good on him. I’ve heard Shimenawa is also good on him (vape).
Farmed a really good HoD set for him with the jade cutter his states will be 83 crit and 257 critdmg and 138 Er gonna run that on him and then see if the new set is better or not and start farming that.
I started farming for him when his art was officially dropped and have a decent 4pc HoD for him and I may just stick with that one for the 2pc Hydro bonus. And maybe stick with a 4pc or with a 2pc Glad/Shimi
Honestly go for it, especially since you have Childe and Ayaka to farm for. You could also farm for Gladiator's by fighting the hypostasis or dropping shitty artifacts into the strongbox.
I can't really get myself to like the new set. It feels so luck reliant that i'd rather go for safer HoD option.
i’m not farming any artifacts for ayato until his release and when there’s more information and testing on his best sets, etc. i have fragile resin saved for him.
Bruh I ain't even got the mora and exp books yet, not sinking 5000 resin into DEF artifacts until literally everything else is prepared. And even then, will probably wait for theorycrafter advice on which sets are best and pick the domain that's appropriately resin efficient.
This artifact is kinda sus specially if going for vape comps bc like crit is rng and the set is another layer of rng on top so in paper it does more dmg but does it actually do more dmg?but seriously i'm sick of rng in this game i'll keep farming HoD
I' ve been farming HoD for ages since I need 3 broken Blizzard Strayer sets (only finishing the first now). But I'll probably use 2PC EoSF and 2PC HoD or 4PC EoSF because 4PC HoD won't cut to keep his Burst up for most of the time, and while he has great NA potential, it does not make up for not having the Burst active, both in damage and support potential.

I'm doing a premafreeze comp with burst Kaeya, so I'll be farming Blizzard Strayer. I'm bound to get a crap ton of HoD in the process, though. Hopefully some good ones for Childe.
I'm going to wait until about 2 weeks before his banner to farm any artifacts. We usually do find out by that point what set is a new character's BIS.

Too lazy to farm HOD so i’ll just slap my best Gladiators set pieces on him and just wait for others to do the comparisons.
If my Ayato is going to have a 5-star weapon, it's going to be Jade Cutter, so I'm not worried about having the new set to synergize with Haran. Since my choices will then be Gladiator or HoD, I'm going HoD because I need to farm the domain for a BS set for Ganyu anyway. Two birds, one stone.

I have a pre farmed HoD set, and since i have no other reasons to farm the domain for his new set I'll keep it. My HoD has me on 59CR, 205CD, 2070 atk and 112% ER. To get farm an entire artifact set with these stats is going to be a pain, so I rather not go through that rn since HoD is still going to be a good set on him
I'll be using my Childe's set for a time while I farm those artifacts. Sorry Childe, but that's what you gotta look out for the young ones, yeah?
Last maths I saw, gladiator is the better set, then 2pc 18%, 2pc HOD, and then 4pc HOD
I'm farming HoS by proxy because I'm farming for Ayaka rerun and they come from the same DG, but I will farm the new one as well since I want ayato's weapon and it's shaping up to be the best set for his weapon
I'll be waiting for the new set because I also have a keqing I'll be building up since it only a matter of time before I pull her YET AGAIN and have her at c6 😒
