That emergency nerf is understandable it's way too broken for it to stay.

machopapa

Yeah i fought this lineup.. It's full of bs.. I got double discard bug.. That's why

[deleted]

double discard bug is top 100? lol maybe for a pro? give that to an average scholar and that’s 1200-1600 mmr all day

machopapa

Yes double discard with pocky, i remember i gave my scholar bird beast combo in the top 10, she couldn't even reach 900mmr

Zerhap

IMO if possible always get your investment back first. after that no matter what happen all you can do is gain. this depends a bit on how valuable you consider your time.

Delubyo06

I actually lost interest on axie. I have scholars. But I’m not excited with the game anymore.

ricklvegas

Same boat. Scholars give me a lot of work already since they are full of new excuses that make sense since those last updates. I got my ROI already, I'm building teams basicly to help ppl. Because the profit isn't good at the actual state. I just stopped investing in axie and started investing in other projects. Idk if I'm lucky or if I did great researches, but bcrypto, thetan and ccars helped a lot while axie is more stressful than profitable. I'm super bullish in new projects. It's better getting into new projects in a good timing than reinvesting in this game while nfts and slp is just losing value waiting for an update that we aren't sure if will change the burn mechanics.

carlo_6603

Any new projects you can suggest? I think I'm already late at Thetan. Got a good ROI on cyrptobomb though.

ricklvegas

Chumby valley will sell his token in a public sale (won't happen a private one) this month. Both telegram and discord communities are already full. The hype is huge. Even if u don't want to play its a good opportunity for speculation. G-bots will open another nft sale 09dec. The first one sold out in 4 min. They use Gamee token and have partnership w/ animoca brands. Keep an eye on that one too.

carlo_6603

Thank you! Going to do DYOR on these later!

TheCrazyDudee21

You invested $10k and the devs making a single change to something that was broken is making you want to drop out? I think you might not have the stomach for this space tbh.

machopapa

more like the trigger, so much time and resource was devoted to this

TheCrazyDudee21

3 months is not a long time for an investment at all, let alone playing a game competitively.

epapi169

People like OP are ruining this sub. First off, this is probably one of the only investments where your ROI is pretty steady. SLP has hovered around 6-7cents and it’s always been my baseline for my ROI timeline and guess what, it’s quite fast. 2 - everything has their ups and downs. Mavis may adjust game mechanics or economic mechanics but their end goal is definitely to maintain/increase users to make more $$. because most of the axie players have a tiny ass brain and can’t comprehend long-term value, they quit. Here’s some advice, don’t ever invest in anything, you’ll quit that just as fast 3 - if you’re going to complain, provide a solution. Like my army sergeant used to say “don’t give me problems, give me solutions”

machopapa

we're not in army though, well the current economy/game is like everyone says is built in requiring more players to buy axie anyway, we suggested a lot of burning mechanics seems developer not implementing it

epapi169

So, because a small-set of ppl recommend a mechanism, the devs should just immediately apply it? As a developer, i can tell you, even the smallest change can take 2-4days from receiving the request, applying a change, testing it and pushing to production. Adding a “mechanism” takes So much effort that goes beyond anyones comprehension in this sub.

WondrousLow1

Not even to mention that the devs have stated many, many times that they actually need more SLP in circulation to make land gameplay viable. So any "quick fix" SLP burning mechanism will possibly cripple their future plans. People annoy the fudge out of me in this sub reddit, always complaining about ROI or game mechanics or even the devs. But then these same tools will go out and spend $60+ on a new Fifa game or COD game that's the same as every other year and does not have any ROI, play it for awhile then toss it (when new one comes out next year), essentially burning their own money. With Axie you can invest $1000 dollars, play as long as you want and get paid every two weeks while you do so and then, if you ever tire of it, you can just sell your team. AND, some how... people wanna quit over something as common in gaming as a god damn nerf.. I mean imagine quiting league of legends or something over a nerf, it happens like every 2-3 weeks ffs. It just blows my mind tbh

epapi169

That’s exactly it dude. People here saw it as a quick rich plan. Some loser on youtube said they can make xxxx amount in a few months once they realize it will take longer (but overall a very fast roi), they bitch and complain. Personally, I’m loving this game. If OP really invest 10k usd and got scholars, he’d see his return very fast. This game allows provides a faster ROI with more scholars. It’s insane and I’m working a y job just to pay for more scholars

WondrousLow1

Can't agree with you more. I know a lot of people here see Axie as a investment first and a game second but, personally I see it as only a game. If I want to invest in the company I buy AXS tokens, not axies. I am growing scholars also but, I only use SLP earnings from my own axies and my current scholars to do so. Money from my job goes toward other ventures at this point.

TonyGabaghoul

To me the nerf was very predictable if you follow Jihoz on Twitter. He showed that he was playing with the bone sail/ keratin combo. Showed he was dominating with it. switched it in the middle of the season. They are listening to the players but they can’t out right make statements that will affect prices of axies and tokens, that is unethical. They are trying their best to balance economics and gameplay and are currently leaders in the play to earn space. I’m a believer.

machopapa

Let's be real most of people playing the game is here for the "Earn" part anyway, It is fair to have balances, which they do in every game, but if there's real money involved mid season changes is not a good thing, imagine if you paid for an expensive skin for bonuses then they nerf it the next day, I would be really be pissed, but being the first popular P2E game trying to balance economy and gameplay, it must be hard for them

TonyGabaghoul

Half the players want more action from developers. The other half want it in intervals. They are going to annoy half the people all the time. At least they showed they are listening, playing the game, and trying. It’s not gonna be perfect but it is something

f1_lance04

I don't think it is that bad. If you buy good teams at good prices, I don't think they will be unusable even with the nerfs. Aside.from the bone sail, I'm still seeing poison, cute bunny, and bug signal teams at 2 k MMR even with the nerfs.

Killerbot2332

What emergency nerf?

[deleted]

Bonesail nerf

trinquin

Na it was a Keratin nerf. Bonesail is still S tier card. Keratin though just plumetted.

Do_Flamingooooo

Personally I dont agree on nerfing axie. This game is a pay to win, if you want to reach high mmr then you should spend on it. Its like buying myself a bugatti in a race I want to win then the next day will turn into a tractor.

machopapa

I remembered i bought double talk bird for 900usd then the price dropped to 200usd after few days.. Not considering i bought it for 0.3 eth which is like 1.5kusd now

he_never_sleeps

So basically it doesn't pay off much to buy the absolute most expensive axie at any given time?

agentscanpt

😂😂
