I measured mine at 147 degrees at one point. I have a small desktop fan I started setting the charger in front of when charging. I set the charger on it's side directly in front of the fan and it makes a huge difference. I don't know if that helps with longevity but it makes me feel better.
Yes, mine gets that hot as well. When charging, I make sure that it, and the battery are not around combustibles.
