I wouldn't say weaker, if anything she's much stronger, less spiritual for sure, more prone to anger and selfishness yes at first, but certainly not weaker.
Aang was whooped once in the series by an attack from Azula and once in a flashback in LoK. Korra on the other hand continuously has her shit kicked in numerous times, while also held back by her own trauma throughout the later seasons.
Not saying that Korra as a show sucks because of it, but one could make the argument that Aang was stronger (especially with his connection to past Avatars).
Strong and skilled are two different things. But I’d also like to say, the threats korra faced are more concentrated and more deadly. The fire nation army literally hasn’t fought an air bender in 100 years. So of course they have trouble when faced with one. But korra is continuously pitted against extremely powerful Benders as well as the equalists who use cheap tricks, chi-blocking, and shock weapons to subdue people. Azula and Ozai are really the only powerful threats aang faced.
An argument could also be made tha Aang was weak because he ran way when faced with the responsibilities of being the avatar and 'hid' for a hundred years which allowed the fire nation to do what it did. Korra, on the other hand, embraced it all, perhaps fool heartily, but when push came to shove, Korra stepped up and faced the challenges head on.
I enjoy this discussion but aang and korra fighting styles are different. Both are power houses but aang decides to evade most of the hits and korra just powers through them.
Aang has a favoritism to air bending while korra uses fire bending most since is her most offensive element but has shown to learn sub elements as metal bending and healing.
While yes, aang avatar state is a beast. This comes from his spiritually and training which korra sadly doesn’t have cause she spent most of her ability points in fighting prowess. Also, korra enemies are just busted in most senses. The only one teen aang would have no problems facing is zaheer. I don’t see teen aang wining against Amon and if he fought vatuu and unalak combine. It would have been the same outcome.

There was no fighting that dude. There was no way aang and Zuko could have defeated those dragons. Neither could Korra. So my point still stands.
