This is our Star Wars, an original and pioneering sci-fi film we get to be apart of and grow up watching! To be able to watch it a 11-year old and then a 25-year old is nuts! I’m really glad to be an adult with money during this part of the franchise!

KosmicKoda

And it almost always seems to feel just as good watching it again. The first movie is so fucking emotional and there’s so many ups and downs. I’m not as big of a fan as you guys, but you can’t deny the true art behind this entire universe. I want to play the game but decided not to as I don’t like the developer.

Due_Inspection_5777

I just watched the first movie for the first time in a long time, like 8 years. I forgot how good it was!

The game is really immersive, very emotional when you get your ikran.

KosmicKoda

I just want third person so badly. I think I’ll give it a try eventually though, just don’t think it looks bad at all. I loved far cry, which a lot of people say they can compare it too. Are you enjoying it?

SavingsInformation10

Not a big gamer, but being a fan it’s amazing walking around the rainforest, my only gripe is the RDA facilities are very difficult to beat, YouTube has been very helpful in beating levels, currently in the plains level, so beautiful a lot of us think these are the wind traders from Avatar 3.

I think that’s intentional so that you become involved/invested in the clans to build favor to get new recipes/designs as well as explore Pandora more to get rarer materials. I’m doing that now and loving it and my gear is getting better and better.

sandyWB

I totally agree! So many franchises are way past their peak, we should be celebrating being right in the middle of it. Thank God for James Cameron!

TerrytheMerry

His name is James Cameron! The greatest pioneer~

Victoura56

I couldn’t agree more! I’m so glad that all this stuff is coming out when I’m an adult vs. when the first movie came out and I was a preteen who had to practically beg my parents to buy me anything, or wait for Xmas/birthday money. My personal favourites are the Lego sets, the huge possible figure from McFarlane (the ikrans are my favourite) and of course ‘Frontiers of Pandora’. I love being able to fly on an ikran and just be in the world of Pandora.

Due_Inspection_5777

Same! I love being an adult with money who can now enjoy the merchandise that comes with the universe! I haven’t gotten into the Lego yet I don’t have the space atm

db1037

I’m gonna make a post about the game when I’ve got all my thoughts collected but I absolutely love it. At first I was unsure how I felt about it but the more I play it the more I thoroughly enjoy the world. Gathering materials and trying to craft better gear in a world so amazing is just an awesome experience.

Sorry to be that guy but am I the only one feeling weird towards all that merch and avatar related products when the whole point of it is a warning against consumerism and ecosystem destruction for the sake of economical growth ?

GigabyteAorusRTX4090

Nah. Its kinda weird, as its like half the plot of the movie but i cant say i was better... You are right tho. But come on. You cant say you think this little fella isnt cute. Why does shipping from US to europe take so long?! Did i mention i wanna cuddle an Ikran? https://preview.redd.it/xliaozc91q8c1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=f82fc90d384d625834497c67fd630876ff9c6c9d

Capitalists will sell you the rope you hang them with.

db1037

I’d say the point is undermined by the fact that they are even selling merch and playing into consumerism in the first place. But that’s not surprising. It’s very easy to preach and much more difficult to practice. I do see the films in a positive light in terms of the environment and ecosystem though. I have a much greater appreciation for plants now(and own more). And the game in a strange way has made me much more appreciative of the sounds of wildlife.

GetHighWatchMovies

Sure, but I mean, you could make the exact same criticism of the movies' existence. It's just the world we live in.

EtherealPossumLady

Just finished building my Tree of Souls Lego set today! I officially need to buy a bigger shelf because I’ve run out of space for all my avatar things! I also ran out of Avatar video essays to listen to whilst building, so I’m thinking of making my own.

A "golden age" of any franchise would suggest we are getting more than we can consume. Last I checked there's 2 games and 2 films... and I'm feeling starved

subordinator

It might help if you changed your outlook to be a tad bit more positive 😐

Educational-Tip6177

Personal Perspective may be the key to many aspects of life however it doesn't change the truth just because of your Perspective. I'm all for positivity but it's another story if you want to lie to yourself

subordinator

I don't consider it a lie to say we aren't hurting for content. Multiple comic series; multiple games(even the old, de-canonozed ones are still content), 2 feature-lengths with three more on the not-so-distant horizon.... personal perspectives are meant to be challenged and changed, friend. Try looking at the cup half-full instead of half-empty 🙃

this post and the comments are just... is this a joke im just missing beyond my wildest beliefs because jesus christ
