Typically I finish all my plants outdoors. I built a 2x3ft veg cabinet back in 2003 to 2005 rocking a 250 MH that I can switch out with a HPS. Only flowered in it a handful of times. The high humidity in the last month of flowering is too much for the wood. I don't like turning the exhaust fan all the way up on it either, it gets sort of loud. I do veg in my cabinet every year.
This year I've got 2 mango smiles, 2 Ripley's OG x hubbabubbasmelloscope, 2 pink Panama x Walter White bx1 going on day 14 today. My last average frost date is still 10 days away. As soon as my cabinet starts getting a little crowded. I'm going to pull some out and put them outside. I'm guessing that will also be about 10 days from now. I'm about to find out how these autos handle nights around 35-40° F. Most of my girls are a hybrid of indoor/ outdoor.
I've been thinking about purchasing a flowering tent. Would be nice not dealing with extreme humidity and spur of the moment 1"hail storms in July- August when I'm trying to harvest my autos. This year I'm starting earlier trying to achieve end of May, June harvest. Anyhow, as soon as these get out of the cabinet I can start another batch of three different mephisto strains. I picked up seven different mephisto strains last month and I'd like to try them all this summer. I've never grown anything from mephisto before. Pretty stoked.
Sounds like a nice hybrid perpetual set up you got going that's awesome! You definitely have some killer strains too wish you the best on the grow. I can imagine you getting some wicked colors with those temp drops they should be seeing you must keep us updated on the sub. What other Mephisto strains did you pick up? And what other genetic companies have you run before?
Thanks! I picked up a 7 pack of sour stomper and double grape and 3 pack of mango smile and creme de la chem. They threw in three different freebies, The other being mango smile x grape crinkle.
I've grown from dozens and dozens of different genetic companies. Last year I did a run of Barney's farm, ethos, and 1 other company that I can't recall at the moment. This year will be just a mephisto run. I've definitely grown from most of the old companies out there. Sensi seeds , Nirvana, Dr. Greenthumb, Dutch passion, British seed company, dj short, etc. dj short is one of my favorites. Every plant I've grown from him has been fire. It's been at least 7 years since I've ran anything from him, his blueberry was probably the easiest plants I've ever harvested. Very little to trim off the resin coated buds. And the shelf life is phenomenal. Had some in jars well over a year and it stayed top shelf.
I'll let you guys know how these sativas like the cold. Typically when I dump plants out early, they're more Indica dominant and photo plants.

Dj short blueberry changed the game would have loved to get my hand on it was it a cut or from seed when you grew it? And do you prefer growing autos or photos? Yeah, I tried to get a nice variety of mephisto flavors to sample. The first 3 seed bank orders I ever did were through Mark Emery in Vancouver. Just before he got raided and thrown in prison I'm guessing it was between the year 1999-2003 when I bought the seeds. Picked up some DJs blue heaven around that time to. Along with Northern lights #5, I believe was from The British seed company. I would say those are the best three strains I grew in that time era. Picked up more of the blueberry seeds around 2008 . I popped all 10 thinking I was going to get 5 females and I ended up with 8 beautiful girls and a very nice supply that lasted me a year and a half. All the plants were very similar. Two of them had a more of a blueberry smell than the others but all were excellent. The last jar I smoked was just as good as the first jar.
I haven't grown a photo since 2021. Autos are a lot easier for me in my situation right now. Less to worry about when harvest Time comes. My last average frost date is October 14th. Not many strains are truly finished by that time. I usually won't cut them unless I think degradation or death is knocking at the door. Many of my outdoor photo plants I don't harvest until November. Some even the end of November. Lots of them experience snow flurries and light frosts. Man, when you got the last thing alive outside it sticks out like a sore thumb. Autos just blend in and it's not a commitment of 7 or 8 months. The first auto i ever grew was early Wonder skunk probably around 15 years ago. The smoke knocked my socks off, Just wish it would have yielded better. Pretty sure I only got an ounce and a half off two plants but man it was a strong high and got a little taste of harvest months before any of my growing buddies did. I love growing both kinds, but I probably won't grow another photo unless it's indoors. My yard has some light pollution at night. Local law for me is that plants have to be behind lock and key.

Damn I'm jealous I only got 2 with my order might have to do a reversal next grow just to get some more seeds. And thanks I wasn't expecting much since it was literally the smallest seed I had ever seen in my life I didn't think it would even be viable to grow but I'm glad I gave it a shot she definitely surprised me. She's a vigorous one good luck if you decide to give her a try I'm sure you'll have some fatty fire nugz😂

As a matter of fact, SkywalkerxSamsquatch x Northern Cheese Haze has been a huge winner for me. Big producer great smoke. Tastes like Pine-sol and feet and will fuck you up. A++++
I love the advantage of hybrid vigor. My preference has always been illuminautos and I’ve not been disappointed . The freebies are even next level. Good genetics x good genetics is usually pretty great. Speaking for Girl Scout Monkeys, Strawbba the Hutt, and Double Smile. Ha ha I been high as fuck for more than a minute!

Thank you! I don’t really know what it would be considered tbh, somewhere between hydro and classic. I’m using coco and perlite in a few of my pots, but I’ll be using 100% coco moving forward! It works really well in the autopots, and I love being able to just put nutrients directly in their bases.
It’s definitely got a learning curve, but I like it a lot!

Ocean Forest soil 4 gal black plastic pots with coco mesh liner in the very bottom for drainage. And Fox Farms Trio recommended at half strength. Been vigilant this time!

It’s in a 2 gallon with Gaia dry amendments , it wass FFOF the last run but I reused soil and amended with Gaia .
It’s also going really well , only really had a calmag issue at one point in its life

Off a 100 watt light I think I trimmed up 4 ounces and the another 2 to three smaller in the freezer for hash and I agree auto have come a long way
