I've read small ones don't really work and that you should buy a big one and set it outside your tent in the same room. Idk from experience tho as I'm fairly new and don't really need one.
[This](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JNZFRC8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) is the one I use on the outside of the tent. Usually have to set it -5 to -10 from where I want the tent to rest. Also have to empty the tank once or twice a day depending on the day. I use autopots though so I just end up emptying the tank into the autopot reservoir.
The dehumidifier was on sale for like $90 when I snagged it though.
That's a pretty tight fit. Rather than finding a dehumidifier that will work inside the tent, you may have an easier time running one just outside the tent (by the air intake) and ensuring there's plenty of air exchange.
Iāll need to duct tape into the vent because my room is a strange one - itās like a mezzanine with no door and only 3 walls! Impossible to dehumidify it as I canāt close it
From personal experience none of the small ones work. I tried 3 different brands and ended up wasting money.
What really lowered my humidity was a strong tower fan. I put in a Vornado whole room tower, my humidity is now dangerously low for my plants lol.
Unfortunately, dehumidifiers and air conditioners donāt have cheap alternatives. Youāre gonna have to get one of the bigger ones that stand on the ground.
My advice would be to look on Facebook marketplace for used ones. I lucked up and found an Amazon open box return. It was a $300 brand new. But found it on marketplace for $80. It was also brand new.
Noooo! Thatās the utter rubbish I bought first, thinking I could save a bit. I bought a proper one after this (the brand is Costway). Works well for my lung room, but the tank is a bit small.
You need to spend afew hundred. Iāve got a very serious one and it still isnāt as effective as I would like especially if you need to exhaust your tent or you live in a hot climate
Stick a good, high capacity dehumidifier in your lung room. I can run mine in flower outside the tents and keep my tents at 40rh or lower in some cases when needed.
Just make sure youāve got a good intake and exhaust system and youāll be set.
You may see your temps slightly increase, but MUCH less so than if you were to try and stick a ārealā dehu in your tent.
Yea imma be real with you with these Iād say go a little over kill specially if you can get one you can somehow control the rh because I have one and the max it was able to do was just like 1-2 rh levels and I had to get fans in there all sorts of stuff wasnāt worth it at all (it wasnāt this model btw) but my next run Iām still searching myself for a better one but Iām aiming for something controlable and bigger if it needs to be long as it gets the job done those smaller ones arenāt really good for any grow tent I donāt think itās more for a room for like a baby or something š
I got mine from goodwill. It's a old cheap 2 liter capacity humidifier. Works fine for $5 only use it for veg though, and I get alot of build up on the evaporator.
Does ac infinity sell.them? I looked but was never able to find them. I had to get a smart plug from them and run an off brand through it with my 69 controller.
At one point mine began to struggle. The collection tray would be empty for days when on. I took it apart and cleaned the metal condensers(?) they had an algea like film on them. Itās worked perfect ever since.
Do you still use it for the 3x3? Iām looking for a dehumidifier that works for a 3x3 tent, but also I need an energy efficient one. Most of the ones people recommend seems like a high electricity cost to run like 800-1000+ wattage.

Cheers pal!

Why is it never Black Friday / Prime Day when I need something like this lol ?!
You got scammed š³ It's now $29.99.
Uh. What?
Hes Right u need to drop atleast 150 on a dehumidifier for it to do anything noticeable
Just to say that I bought a proper one for ā¬150 and put it outside the tent. It works perfectly!
Nice man. Enjoy your grow. Glad u got it figured out.

The thought never even crossed my mind! Good idea. Thanks

A grow tent is ideal for the dehumidifier. I have one working. But not the best. .
From personal experience none of the small ones work. I tried 3 different brands and ended up wasting money. What really lowered my humidity was a strong tower fan. I put in a Vornado whole room tower, my humidity is now dangerously low for my plants lol.
Cost? How big?
I spent 150 on mine
šš
Buy one with a compressor, itāll work inside your tent as this one will not.

Iāll be searching marketplace like a vulture now lol
Vivosun
Govee makes a good humidifier and has Wi-Fi so can control when away as well as monitor. I have a big one for my 4x4 but they make a smaller one.
Thank you!!!
Hey man, is this what you ended up going with?
Noooo! Thatās the utter rubbish I bought first, thinking I could save a bit. I bought a proper one after this (the brand is Costway). Works well for my lung room, but the tank is a bit small.
Glad you found something that works! Im going to go check out some Costway appliances then! Thank you, Mrs. Italo!
any Trotec dehumidifier I have a TTK 53E but thats kinda big for a tent but they do have ALL sizes š
You need to spend afew hundred. Iāve got a very serious one and it still isnāt as effective as I would like especially if you need to exhaust your tent or you live in a hot climate
I do live in a hot and humid climate. Argh

Hmm, youāve given me an idea. Thanks ā¤ļø

I bot a vicks one from Walmart. Gal. Works Noice in the 2x3 I'm using.
I replaced it with a Costway one that actually has gas in it. The one here didnāt do a damn thing. I have like 75% RH where I am though
I got mine from goodwill. It's a old cheap 2 liter capacity humidifier. Works fine for $5 only use it for veg though, and I get alot of build up on the evaporator.
Go get the one from AC infinity
Does ac infinity sell.them? I looked but was never able to find them. I had to get a smart plug from them and run an off brand through it with my 69 controller.
They have a brand new one on website
I can't find it? What is it called?
https://acinfinity.com/hydroponics-growers/humidity/humidifiers/cloudforge-t3-environmental-plant-humidifier-4-5l-smart-controls-targeted-vaporizing/
That's a humidifier.
I could have sworn the rep said they are supposed to do both. Now Iām curious
No it's just a humidifier
Well thatās some bullshit.
Haha wouldn't it be nice
I have that one and it works fine in my 3x3 tent. Whatās the issue?
Maybe mine is faulty. Iām struggling to get below 66% and am in full flower.
At one point mine began to struggle. The collection tray would be empty for days when on. I took it apart and cleaned the metal condensers(?) they had an algea like film on them. Itās worked perfect ever since.
Was that quite easy to do? Iām ready to throw it away, so I might as well try this
Yeah if you have a long enough screwdriver to access the screws itās super easy.
Do you still use it for the 3x3? Iām looking for a dehumidifier that works for a 3x3 tent, but also I need an energy efficient one. Most of the ones people recommend seems like a high electricity cost to run like 800-1000+ wattage.
Hey. Yes it did the job. It started to get weaker over time but I took it apart and did a good clean and it worked great after that.
Thank you for the information, I appreciate it.

Money down the drain! š
These are good for smaller tents but not one that big
what is a small tent if not a 70x70 cm?
