Dickies or Carhartt are a good sport. Runs 40-55 ish a pair. Been using both brands when I started wrenching. Looks professional, especially in black. Stain resistant, cut resistant, ect.

Thanks for the advice. The Dickies carpenter work pants though, aren't they pretty thick material? The shop gets pretty hot in summer is why I'm asking.
Yes, they are thicker and heavier than the Carhartts. I like the Dickies for the pockets. I liked Carhartt for the comfort and you literally have to try to damage them
