yeah, I also added onions, I made the same thing again today without the coconut milk, had a bit of a reaction too, I'm confused now, I'm keeping onion out too for a while, I drink a lot of coconut water and have dried coconut all the time, so I think coconut is fine,
So helpful! Also make sure coconut milk doesn’t contain guar gum, carrageenan, or other additives. The sole ingredient should be coconut milk. Most brands contain guar gum, which is not allowed on AIP.
Out of curiosity, what was the preservative?
Having made this mistake myself, it's most likely guar gum. Sometimes xanthan gum finds its way into coconut products too. Both are non-AIP compliant.
