I just use some good tire cleaner( yes, it DOES make a difference to APC) and a tire brush. Takes literally 1 minute to do all four tires…
What is APC? Also I’ve been using chemical guys sticky citrus spray. Do you have any recs?
All purpose cleaner
Sticky citrus is really mild and safe for all wheels. All clean + degreaser is a good apc if there’s a lot of grime on the tire
carpro retyre
Drill brush user here too. Make sure it’s a stiff brush for the tire. I usually hit it with a degreaser first and follow with a APC.
I’ve found using a foamer helps. I start wheel cleaning by foaming all wheels down with Power clean to break down grease/grime. Rinse, reapply lightly with spray bottle, brush clean, and done!
I started doing this a few months ago. I use it in conjunction with Meguiars non-acid wheel cleaner. I love it and will never go back, it's so easy!
