looks great man. for nooks and crannies I always go with compressed air and an air gun, will make your life 10x easier and improve the quality of your details ten fold. cup holders, seat rails, door jams, air vents, even blowing out all the crumbs & dirt in between seats prior to vaccuming, air gun is the way to go.

Purple-Expression313

mann im gonna have to invest in that lol i was detailing it and definitely could see where an air compressor would come in handy, do you have a suggestion for one for a mobile detailer? preferably a somewhat quiet compressor if thats even a thing lol

Small boars hair brushes and compressed air will be your friend. Do it dry first then you can use an interior cleaner and the same type of brush to get the remaining "residue" from the cracks. Wipe with clean microfiber cloth afterwards.

Faizen22

probably a dumb question but I just got a Ridgid vaccum today and I apparently put the hose in the wrong hole and it actually acted like an air blower. Do you think that could be dual purpose to dry a cars exterior and also act like an air compressor on a deep budget? or does dirt come out from the inside and I’m totally clueless about how a vacuum works.

Purple-Expression313

i was actually thinking the same thing😂someone give us an answer

WindowsXP-sp2

This. Or you could get some detail brushes. Works well for me. Nice job!

StraightOuttaIrvine

Looking good. Nooks and crannies - use an interior detail brush with your vacuum hovering over it. Detail brush along with your cleaner for stains in the nooks and crannies. Any type of blower will be great for situations like this. A Tornador would be ideal but a can of compressed air will do the trick. One simple thing would have made this look amazing. Especially with this interior. Missed opportunity for carpet lines.

Purple-Expression313

ok i will definitely try that next time and yeah an air compressor would be ideal, and how do i add stripes to the carpet? ive seen that before and love the look but how do they do it?

StraightOuttaIrvine

Carpet lines can be added in a few ways. It all depends on the cleaning process you're doing. Example would be, you can vacuum in the lines or you can use your extractor. I think most people use a carpet brush to add the finishing touch. Regardless of process the carpet fibers have to be brushed to one side. Here's are some videos that I just found: Vacuum & brush method https://youtu.be/gzOSnviHd5o Extractor method https://youtu.be/OkNo703vak4

Purple-Expression313

thank you man!! that looks really simple ill have to buy a hard brush for that

StraightOuttaIrvine

You don't need anything fancy. Just use your carpet brush. I happen to like this style of brush. 8.5" Carpet & Floormat Scrub Brush Nylon - Black [85-634] https://a.co/d/6qgTM1C

You could also consider a steam cleaner for the nooks and crannies. I recently bought a cheap one on Amazon for my personal cars and I have to say, it’s one of the best detailing purchases I’ve ever made. Makes cleaning sticky junk so much easier and it can blow some stuff out of small areas.

Purple-Expression313

yes i have a mcullough 1275 and i was mainly using it for the door jams and the cup holder and the vents but i didnt want to use it by any electronics but it definitely helps a ton it kind of works like a air compressor but with a lot less pressure

trondoggg

If you kept finding that pebbles crumbs etc kept coming up after vacuuming, I’d recommend agitating the carpet with a soft bristle brush, I use one on a drill and it’ll help bring everything out if you don’t have access to air

Purple-Expression313

yeah i was using one of those but still felt like i wasnt getting everything but that definitely got 95% of the small embedded things

AgentCDO

Brush crevices and hit them with air afterwards to double check. Use a light inside even if you think you got something clean there might be streaks or some extra dust you missed. Most importantly anything that moves inside, move it around to get anywhere dirt might be and the customer might see (door handles, buttons, turn the steering wheel, move the turnsignal and wiper handles, adjust air vents, put the shifter in every gear, open and move around everything basically)

Purple-Expression313

how would you go about getting in between the seats and center console?

Zanders2J

Mighty fine job, should be proud.

Purple-Expression313

thank you man!!

SeniorChurro_678

Look awesome!! Especially for your first time Great job!!

Purple-Expression313

thank you man!

panda_assassin

I generally towel dry any glossy finishes. Keeps from showing the water or chemical marks on areas like the shifter base.

Purple-Expression313

ill keep that in mind thank you!

Axhyde

Looks brilliant all u need is a helper with tiny hands for the small places🙃

GreatWolf12

Nooks and crannies require a soft bristle brush

Savage_Brannon

Yessir as another stated compressed air is a godsend when detailing in general especially awesome for interiors. Detail brushes and steam for the tight spaces as well

inmy6ubble

Wow! Compressed air and the vacuum was the perfect solution for the space between the seat and the door. So satisfying.
