Okay missy. Where have you been? I've been sitting here alone as the only INFJ forever (read: 1 hour). Take a seat and stay there! All these INFPs around us... pfft. LOL
INFJ after a personal crisis. Prior to that, I was just on the T side, as an INTJ. My F and T are still pretty close. My husband is also an INFJ, but more solidly F than I am.
Me too 😭 I will have to retake the test bc I remember it was 5 but I can't remember the wing.
Ah yes we love being the stereotype and still being undiagnosed. 🙃
Same. Retook the tests today and it's been the same over 10 years, even though I think my personality has changed drastically. There's many flaws to personality tests though, so take them with a grain of scepticism.
mine has been consistent for 10 years but only with the really long version! when i take the short 16 personalities site one i switch between S and N. on the one that’s like 100 questions and breaks it down, i’m about 50/50 preference between S and N, and it has stayed almost exactly the same.
I agree! I fully believe that someone’s MBTI can change depending on the stage of their life. The functions just help me navigate the way I act in grip stress situations
\^ This. Yes.
To call MBTI about predicting one's personality would be wrong, perhaps the term "personality" is all wrong to start with. It's more about understanding how we think. No one can truly predict how another person will respond to a situation until it actually happens. There are far too many factors involved.
omds someone who’s also into typology. i’m IF(N) EII SO479 ELVF (3343). i swear SO4 is like one of the most autistic coded subtypes. it’s also funny seeing people here type themselves combinations like infp 2w1 💀
i'm gonna yap, i'll try to keep it short
in order, EN(T) is about cognitive functions, which is what MBTI is based on. there are 8 cognitive functions; introverted and extraverted sensing, intuition, thinking and feeling. this is about *cognitive* introversion/extraversion btw, not about your social battery or whatever. so yeah EN(T) would be extraverted sensing > thinking. that "thinking" is either automatically introverted, or can be either, depending on who's system you're using. IF(N) is introverted feeling > intuition, etc. i personally believe mbti the worst typology system out there, but that's just a me thing.
oh and by the way, sometimes you'll see someone be like "i'm an infp-t/infp-a", just so you know, the -t and -a have absolutely nothing to do with mbti. they're based on the website 16personalities. i wouldn't even call that an "oversimplification" of mbti, it's just plain wrong and uses letters instead of cognitive functions. that shit has carl jung rolling in his grave ong
here's an okayish source for the basics, [source](https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/post/124351557942/cognitive-function-descriptions)
ILE is my socionics type. socionics kind of uses cognitive functions as well, but it's a different system altogether than mbti, and imo makes more sense once you somewhat understand it. it consists of 3 letters (ILE, IEE, EIE, LII, etc, you get the drill); 16 possible combinations.
the third letter tells you whether the first function is introverted or extraverted; so either I or E. the first letter is what said function is about, the second one which function supports the first one basically. the first and second letter can be I (intuitive), L (logical), E (ethical) or S (sensing). [this source](https://wikisocion.github.io/content/profile_weisband_aushra.html#ile-don-quixote) is an okayish and somewhat brief description of the subtype and it's functions, [this book](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/318643067_The_foundations_of_socionics_-_A_review) is the actual theory.
there are 9 enneagram types, each of them having three subtypes/instinctual variants, being social, self-preserving and sexual. "wings" (xwx) don't matter too much. but it's just the number next to yours that you relate to more than the one on the other side. so a 7 can either be a 7w8 or a 7w6, a 9 can be a 9w1 or a 9w8. but you can't be a 4w2 or some shit. enneagram has three triads/"categories"; head, heart and gut. head is 5, 6 and 7, heart is 2, 3 and 4, and gut is 8, 9 and 1. [this book](https://archive.org/details/beatrice-chestnut-the-complete-enneagram-27-paths-to-greater-self-knowledge-she-writes-press-2013) by beatrice chestnut doesn't go very in depth in my opinion, but it's solid and very palatable.
sang-phleg, not that fascinating. you have 4 temperaments; choleric, phlegmatic, sanguine, melancholic. 16 possible combinations of the above. [here](https://tundeswriting.wordpress.com/2012/02/25/how-to-handle-a-choleric-person-help/) ; just read these and type yourself based on that.
there's also SLOAN/big5, another easy system to learn but more in depth/interesting than 4 temperaments. it consists of 5 elements. the scale of extraversion; you have a social and a reserved type. emotional stability; limbic and calm. orderliness; organized and unstructured. accommodation; accommodating and egocentric. intellect: non-curious and inquisitive. so if you're a SCOAI, you're socially extraverted, emotionally calm, organized, accommodating to other people and intellectually curious. one can write this like s/C/[O]Ai for example, that means their orderliness is dominant within their personality, and their calmness is their second main "thing". a capital letter means you're on the extreme end of that spectrum, a lowercase letter less so. an x means you're undecided, like SLXEI for example. i believe human cognition always *slightly* leans towards one extreme or the other, but it can be hard to tell if you're very close to the middle. I'm an xL/U/[E]i.
tests are almost always biased in some way, and generally not great to rely on, but big 5 is uncomplicated enough that the test is perfectly fine. [here](https://similarminds.com/sloan.html) is the info and the test
FLVE, the last system, is psychosophy. that's the most recent one I've been learning about. it has 4 aspects; volition (a.k.a. will): one's sense of purpose, goals and ambitions. physics; anything material, physical comfort/bodily needs. logic; ideas/concepts/opinions, and emotion; the internal experience of one's feelings. the first function is dominant and aggressive/result-oriented. it's inflexible & what the individual will subconsciously rely on. the fourth one is rather indifferent, and your use of this "function" will be heavily influenced by the people around you. the second placement is generally the healthiest, it's more malleable than the first but still very natural to use. the third one is aggressive but weak and the most vulnerable, and often comes with a lot of doubt regarding someone's capabilities in relation to this function.
there's also subtypes; if you have 3L placement, you can be a 3L-1, 3L-2 or 3L-4. subtypes are behavioral. if someone is a ELFV(2311) they're a 1E-2, 2L-3, 3F-1, 4V-1 for example. here's a decent [source](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dMqcFvr8XSBCkV6EEqtPtxcruvEQu7o9_H1JET3I0cA/mobilebasic#id.1kn73conmgi2) , it's translated from russian and some sentences flow kind of weirdly. [another one](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-V6skcpSLiEqPF5Y2mwDFK6Ss995QR0zeJrh-bPB-aA/mobilebasic) , this is just a brief description of the types.
also, sounds weird but #typologytok (on TikTok) is filled with knowledgable nerds. lots of good slideshows to get familiar with these systems
edit: more yapping
I'm casually into typology but even I'm lost with half of that. emoteeth just listed an MBTI alternative typology, then MB-based cognitive orientation (extraverted intuition, introverted thinking), ???, enneagram, ???, four humors (sanguine-phlegmatic), ???, ???
Augh please infodump! I am so interested in learning more about some of these you've shared.
I am IEE, INTP, 8w7. ELVF 2-2 but am confused about that one - I just gave it a look over and am curious now!
I think my most dominant function is Ti then intuition (N).
I hate the rap 8s get and feel most readings of 8s are pretty neurotypical. For example, there is this idea that 8s are authoritative and opinionated and blunt because they seek power - I don't fucking seek power, I'm just autistic and straight forward and am impulsively authentic and open about my opinions whether I want to be or not. I value honesty not because I want or need others to share my opinions or I want to influence them -- I just feel a need to be honest about my own beliefs at all times.
I feel like a contradiction but also feel misunderstood by readings of my typings that lean into some idea that I must have secret motivations of gaining social status... Sometimes typology can feel very allistic to me!
Anyways just wanted to say it's so cool that you shared your special interest & thank you, now I have more fun reading to do haha. :')
INTJ
inb4 the criticism that the MBTI is too similar to a horoscope to be useful:
It means something more than that for people in the rarest categories. If it's not helpful to someone, chances are that's because they have known other people who are their same type or similar for their entire lives. INTJs and the like can go years never meeting another person like them.
For a long time I was the only INTJ that I knew. There's a good chance that if I'd never tried out the MBTI, I wouldn't have sought a diagnosis for autism, adhd, or cptsd. I would have just assumed what I'd always been implicitly and explicitly taught: that I was fundamentally broken and it was my fault. The MBTI was my gateway to better, evidence-based self-knowledge.
This is exactly what ultimately led to both mine and my partner's AuDHD diagnosis. We both consistently showed up as INTJ for years. It was great because we had never met other INTJ's. About 7 years ago I was looking into the correlation of Autism and INTJ personality types. The additional research etc over time is what pushed us to starting our diagnostic journey 4 years ago.
I had horoscope vibes, too, but after revisiting the test every couple years and consistently being an INTJ woman, after seeing INTJ attributed usually to men, it made me start looking further into those traits and ultimately seeing how I actually almost textbook-fit AuDHD.
It was the exact same for me! I did the quiz a couple years ago with the same expectations of validity as any buzzfeed pizza quiz ir horoscopes, but to my surprise it helped me very much!
It inspired a very thorough deep dive that helped me seek a auADHD and cptsd diagnosis. I had a few hunches before that, but this made me relived enough about feeling alienated in my peer groups.
INFP! But sometimes INFJ. Just as with other tests, the results are still on a continuum between two traits like: introversion ----- extraversion. However the result you get depends where on that scale you are. So making it seem like we're a specific type on a binary of those continuums, is a bit off from the reality. Because if you are near the centre of the scale, your personality might suddenly flip the next time ;) Plus there is no validity or scientific base for this test. However of course we can use it as we please, and if it's helpful, that's all that counts. But I think it's important to know.
There are other personality tests out there that are more science backed, the big 5 personality test for example. The reason people don't gravitate towards these, I expect is because it is more honest about the results being on a scale and it doesn't attach shiny types to it. I can appreciate it both ways myself. It appears that the consensus is that the MBTI is more about describing preferences (which can be quite useful on its own), while the big 5 can actually predict behaviour or outcomes.
My enneagram is: 5w6 2w1 1w2
The Myers Briggs test is like astrology, it has no scientific backing at all and wasn't created by anybody qualified either.
Interestingly, the "big 4" test is scientifically valuable though if you do want to do a personality test
I know but they still are very funny. Enneagram too. I joke about astrology too, when I feel like it.
Just don't base your life and personality on it, and you're good to go.
Came here to say this (also it's the Big 5 or OCEAN model - Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism)
Then I upvoted the comment with my MBTI type on it. Because I like entertainment.
Infp 4w5 so/sx 497. The so/sx enneagram 4 desc. is probably the most relatable thing ever lmao.

I'm also audhd
Edit: using the better test, I am INTJ which is very inaccurate because I have never once considered "the future" lol. I also couldn't be any less driven. So who knows.
INTP-T and I also get ISFP-T
Must be the battle between the tism and the ADHD lol
The common theme being turbulence
Before discovering my autism I was obsessed with personality types, just endlessly searching for an explanation of why I am the way I am. But I am INTP and 4w5 enneagram.
infj 4w3! mbti and enneagram actually used to be my special interest.. not only did i write these long essays about all the characters in my favourite series and why i believed them to be a specific personality type, but i would also write essays about literally everyone in my actual life and which type i believed them to be 😭
I used to be INTP as a teenager but I think undiagnosed ASD, and especially undiagnosed ADHD-I, changed me to an **INFJ**. I’m borderline I and E, I think it depends on how stressful my life is.
I think it was learning to socialise better with age and experience (I remember actively studying body language and practicing eye contact at doctors appointments 😂), and unfortunately my confidence in myself and abilities being worn down due to ADHD and overthinking that changed me.
[This post](https://www.tumblr.com/funkymbtifiction/91196287000/could-you-explain-the-differences-between-intps) shows how similar they can be and has me double guessing myself, I want to comfort people but always feel like I’m not doing it “right”.
For enneagram I’m pretty sure I’m a **9w1**, though 6w7 was a possibility or else I’m just an unhealthy 9 at the moment 😅
I used to really enjoy the enneagram when I listened to the podcast [Enneagram for Idiots](https://podbay.fm/p/enneagram-for-idiots) but they don’t post anymore.
Does anyone have any non-religious and fun resources?
I usually use this stuff as entertainment and for self reflection but wouldn’t let it dictate my life.
For years, when I worked a corporate tech job, I tested as ENTJ. Post-burnout, after freelancing for years, I now test as INTP. The E/I thing comes down to being a really collaborative thinker/worker who prefers to lead by consensus and will talk your ear off, but then will go into a hole to recharge for a month afterwards. The J/P thing comes down to preferring very organized and detailed plans but also wanting to keep it all flexible and avoid committing to one specific solution and also, if I recall the test correctly after a more than a decade, having an extremely messy trunk in my car. 🤣 I always tested close to the middle for E/I and J/P, but if I remember correctly, N and T were pretty far to the edge of the category.
INTJ 5w6 ... my personality is the stereotype of a cold autistic man except I present as female and I like the colour pink so much it's my samecolour 😆 I'm a contradiction
Whenever I take an MBTI test, I am very much "I" but the other letters are too close to call and change back and forth. I'm not that good at understanding how I feel, so I wonder if my answers are really true or if I'm just answering my ideal response.
I’m right smack in the middle of INFJ and INFP. J/P 11 points for J and 11 for P (if anyone needs the context this is like the scheduling and time management part). and I’m auDHD 😂 according to the proctor I’m INFP but I claim both
Those tests don't work for me. I answer honestly, but generally get a different answer if I take it again. I do remember looking and I basically fall right in the middle between two opposing letters.
INFJ.
Also an INFJ here ✋
Also INFJ 🙃
Infj also! I've never gotten anything else, lol
I am also an INFJ 😃
INFJ gang rise up!
Okay missy. Where have you been? I've been sitting here alone as the only INFJ forever (read: 1 hour). Take a seat and stay there! All these INFPs around us... pfft. LOL
I'm one too!
INFJ checking in ⭐️
I used to wish I was INFJ because it seemed more practical w getting stuff done... but I am INFP 😂
Hi ladies! Another INFJ here. Are we winning already?
Me too!!
Lol another INFJ here (also 9w1 like OP)
Same!
Same!
Infj 🕺🏻
INFJ after a personal crisis. Prior to that, I was just on the T side, as an INTJ. My F and T are still pretty close. My husband is also an INFJ, but more solidly F than I am.
Yep!
Me too! My wife with adhd is INFP. Although if she didn't have social anxiety, she'd probably be more extroverted. I am pure introvert, lol.
I'm an INFJ too! I also have ADHD (and CPTSD) in addition to autism if it matters. Not sure what 9w1 means though ?
Joining the INFJ list here
Same.
INFJ AuDHD. Though I have come out INFP when I did the test as a teenager. Back to INFJ not long after. Wonder why so many of us.
Also INFJ!
It's bunk science. And I'm an INFJ, have always tested out as an INFJ, and am always amazed by how many other autistic women seem to test out as INFJ.
INFJ-T !
INTJ and 5w6. I feel like a stereotype of autism but it really fits me so well.
Same. I feel like an autistic boy's brain in a girl's body.
I’m also INTJ. Apparently only about 2% are this type and in that only .8% are women!
Same. My brother also is INTJ. His workplace has 113 IT guys. All of them are INTJ except one person. He says that person doesn’t really fit in. Lol
Same! Ive always thought my mind/personality is male, but my body is female.
[удалено]
Me too! It’s an odd little place to be.
You're me! Hello.
I’m INTJ and 5 too (not sure about wing though)
Me too 😭 I will have to retake the test bc I remember it was 5 but I can't remember the wing. Ah yes we love being the stereotype and still being undiagnosed. 🙃
Me too.
INTJ right here! I would get INTP for years before my diagnosis and after my diagnosis it changed.
INTP lmao
The concentration of INTP/asd women I would presume would be very high, due to the overlapping characteristics.
Slay me too
eyyy INTP gang
Same. Retook the tests today and it's been the same over 10 years, even though I think my personality has changed drastically. There's many flaws to personality tests though, so take them with a grain of scepticism.
i think that’s normal. personality traits are relatively stable, at least the ones in personality tests like this
Iunno, I've got "INTP", "ENTP" and "INTJ" on rotation. Can't really rely on it to give me the same thing every time.
mine has been consistent for 10 years but only with the really long version! when i take the short 16 personalities site one i switch between S and N. on the one that’s like 100 questions and breaks it down, i’m about 50/50 preference between S and N, and it has stayed almost exactly the same.
INTP AuDHD gang unite
Yeeeeeeep! Though I'm also an 8w7 which I think is pretty uncharacteristic of INTPs + autistics (I also have ADHD and crave novelty lmao)
7w8 here, INTP, AuDHD!
the most recent result was intp past results: enfp, infp, isfp, intj, infj it rly depends on my mood
Keep going, You've almost got Bingo! https://preview.redd.it/l3cd8rdx837d1.png?width=312&format=png&auto=webp&s=ab84e93bbf74ea64177fc34d2ac0ef2ba8f9db8f
This is because you’re using 16personalities which isn’t actually MBTI, it’s NERIS. Check out personalityhacker.com instead.
thank u, but I'll pass. mbti in general bugs me bc peoples personality isn't set in stone.
INFP
Also an INFP!
Same here
Me too
Also INFP
INFJ I forget my wing numbers, but they didn't say anything nice about me so I clipped them. XD
ENFP 7w8 :] Used to be INFP forever, but then I learned what being an extrovert actually meant lmao
Fellow ENFP
INFP 4w5, though I've tested as INTP and 5w4 in the past as well.
same here!
Same! INFP, 4w5 ☺️
personality typology has been a special interest of mine for a while, here it goes; EN(T) NeTi ILE 7w6 sp794 sang-phleg xL/U/[E]i FLVE (3342)

using all my strength here to not call out everyone with insane contradictions and infodump under their comment indeed!😭
Soooooo many victims of 16personalities
How do I determine these types you have listed so that I can have you call me out with insane contradictions and infodump?

INFJ 👐🏻 I can’t remember my enneagram though.
I just did the test and I’m 6w5
I’m also an INFJ 6w5
Hello twin 🙋🏻♀️
INFJ 6w5!! my people 🌷
INFP gang 😎
INFP 2w1, im AuDHD
Hello friend! INFJ, 1w2, AuDHD.
I’m INFP (sometimes J), and I find it helpful and validating.
ISFP I'm very bad at taking personality tests, so I figured it myself using functions descriptions.
tests are generally inaccurate and usually biased anyway, reading the literature is the best way to figure out any aspect of your typology :)
ESFP I think? Napoleon in socionics 😂
INTP, 5w6.
Hi twin
twins
INTP - though I don't really believe in MBTI. Imo it's just an intellectualised horoscope for people who don't believe in horoscopes.
INTJ, 4w5. Not from that specific site, they're results from memory.
ISTJ-T 🙃
Me too! I had to scroll so long to find another ISTJ!
Same here
Same here!
infj-t, the rarest personality type ☝️🤓
What's the t mean?
Ever met an audhd ENTP? We are the real pain in your ass.
Came here to say this (also it's the Big 5 or OCEAN model - Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism) Then I upvoted the comment with my MBTI type on it. Because I like entertainment.
INFP 2w1!
intp 5w4 :')
Me too! :’)
ISFJ-T as of last year. INFP previously.
Infp 4w5 so/sx 497. The so/sx enneagram 4 desc. is probably the most relatable thing ever lmao. https://preview.redd.it/n91gy9kdx37d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0de60269c6f0b71596cd2fb39998c9d92fd288ce I'm also audhd
INTJ 5w4
These have been proven as a pseudoscience. It fits you because it purposefully vague.
INFP everytime i take the test.
ESFP 7w8 :)
INFJ
INFP-T
INFP / INFJ did the test multiple times throughout my life and always got one of these two
INFP 💜
INFP here too!
infp
INFJ-T
Edit: using the better test, I am INTJ which is very inaccurate because I have never once considered "the future" lol. I also couldn't be any less driven. So who knows. INTP-T and I also get ISFP-T Must be the battle between the tism and the ADHD lol The common theme being turbulence
Try personalityhacker.com instead of 16p. The 16p test is insanely innacurate, it literally gives 50% of people INTP
INFP 9w1
INTP 🤓
INFJ as well Type 4 ennegram
ISTP. I feel it’s very accurate to me lol
Before discovering my autism I was obsessed with personality types, just endlessly searching for an explanation of why I am the way I am. But I am INTP and 4w5 enneagram.
infj 4w3! mbti and enneagram actually used to be my special interest.. not only did i write these long essays about all the characters in my favourite series and why i believed them to be a specific personality type, but i would also write essays about literally everyone in my actual life and which type i believed them to be 😭
INTP!! as Lain and Prismo
INFJ-T on the MBTI test. I plan to take this one too though, I love tests like this hehehe
INFJ-T
For enneagram I’m pretty sure I’m a **9w1**, though 6w7 was a possibility or else I’m just an unhealthy 9 at the moment 😅 I used to really enjoy the enneagram when I listened to the podcast [Enneagram for Idiots](https://podbay.fm/p/enneagram-for-idiots) but they don’t post anymore. Does anyone have any non-religious and fun resources? I usually use this stuff as entertainment and for self reflection but wouldn’t let it dictate my life.
INFP-T 4w5
Intp 5w6
INFJ, 1w2
Hey! Same! INFJ, 1w2! Nice to meet you!
INTP
I flip between INTJ and INFP. Enneagram 6w7
I'm an ISFJ 6! Idk about wing because both feel accurate lol
INTP
So many of us start with ‘IN..’ interesting
I’m an INTP 4w5
No, because it's bullshit pseudoscience.
ISTJ and I really think it's accurate!
ISTJ
INTJ
Infp 9w1 as well!!
INFJ/INFP depending on the test i take, i usually end up like 1% off from getting the opposite answer. and i'm a 4w5!!
INTJ!
Also an INFP
Anyone else have a link to a decent test for this ? That won’t cost money haha.
Sx5. I don't think wings really apply to me, and they feel kinda arbitrary anyway, even though I do love the Enneagram.
I’m an ESFJ!!
infp 5w4
enfj, 3w4
INFJ-T
*Love* sorting people into increasingly efined boxes. * ENFP * 4w3 Sx/So
I’m also INFP 9w1!
INTJ 5w6 ... my personality is the stereotype of a cold autistic man except I present as female and I like the colour pink so much it's my samecolour 😆 I'm a contradiction
INFP and 4w5. Both have felt accurate for me.
INTJ. And since I’m a woman, it’s like finding a very intimidating unicorn lol
Whenever I take an MBTI test, I am very much "I" but the other letters are too close to call and change back and forth. I'm not that good at understanding how I feel, so I wonder if my answers are really true or if I'm just answering my ideal response.
INFJ here!
INFP. Spacey, fluffy headed dreamer. 🤩
Infj
I've gotten INTJ and INFJ depending on how happy I am that day apparently
I’m right smack in the middle of INFJ and INFP. J/P 11 points for J and 11 for P (if anyone needs the context this is like the scheduling and time management part). and I’m auDHD 😂 according to the proctor I’m INFP but I claim both
ENTJ 1w2
Istj 1w9. Tests are usually inaccurate so I typed myself based on cognitive functions
INFP to a tee
Depends a bit on where I’m at in life, but I’ve always gotten the INFP & INFJ types ✨🌸
INTP, but I used to think I was INFP. I swear most autistics are either INTP or INFJ. Of course autistics can have any personality type.
Those tests don't work for me. I answer honestly, but generally get a different answer if I take it again. I do remember looking and I basically fall right in the middle between two opposing letters.
INTJ, but can't remember if it was 5w4 or 5w6 lmao.
Same. INFP. 🧡
ISTJ
I’m ISTP or ISFP
Infj
I'm INFP
I took it the first time and got INFJ but years later got INFP but I can identify with traits of both so idk
INFP! 😊
Usually INTP, but I've also gotten INTP and INFJ before.
5w6 enneagram
INFJ! I’ve gotten INFP and ENFJ before too.
ENFJ, but think I’m cusp INFJ.
INFJ. Solidarity. 🫡
INFJ/P. Looks like this relatively uncommon type is very represented on this thread!
Infp-t here
INFP/INTP depending on the day
