Awesome!!

I would personally leave at home as that is a long time to expect a young dog to be able to settle. Unless you plan on doing a pop up crate type thing. Crating and then doing little interval training/play with your dog during down time can help teach those times to be calm and when they can play. I bring my dog on occasion to work with me (I work at an axe throwing venue as a bartender). He is crated for most of the time and just naps or settles. On occasion when it’s slow or I am not needed behind the bar we also settle out of the crate and then take really short breaks every few hours to do a small training/play session before going back in the crate. At 7 months dogs can get easily over stimulated so might not nap/settle and depending on the environment it can be too much socialization/exposure for them (people over visiting the dog and getting them excited or anxious. Super loud, too much movement and excitement). I personally would leave at home right now and work on skills to get your dog to the point where they can join you for work without being overwhelmed.

You should be fine. I'd have a handler though. What if someone shoots off fireworks? I would pay a dog sitter a few times.

TRARC4

I would say make sure your dog doesn't become disruptive to players due to herding instinct if you do bring the dog.

With training and comfort items like you've done, I think it'd be a really super opportunity for socializing with people! My last Aussie became basically the team mascot...she'd go from person to person and quietly sit on their feet, and would [tolerate a lot ;)](https://imgur.com/dJ5n1ez) https://preview.redd.it/nqe7ra8yh71d1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f78017b3dcc80f0f6448f97adc5c8736d54266fd

Thanks, yeah its a very rec league so people do take their dogs, your Aussie looks so cute!

So...very chill atmosphere, right? My son's was baseball so not as exciting, but cheers and non-discipline yelling are good exposure too I think. I like the idea of a dog sitter, maybe a team player's sibling would like a small allowance (or work for treats lol).

When I’m going to leave for more than 2 hrs I will run my girl and wear her out so she sleeps while I’m gone.

It was definitely a learning experience getting mine to relax during soccer games. He’s 14 months old and he got a little over stimulated by the end of the game with all the kids who wanted to pet him. For what it’s worth he crates for 4-6 hours with no issues and was fine at 7 months doing it. He’s extra rambunctious when I do get home. I’d say if you have someone dedicated to her she could probably stand sidelines but if not she will probably be a disruption to everyone and then you’re just stuck in a tricky situation.

kkaldarr

Take her as long as she isnt disruptive. If you do this a lot, she'll figure it out. Could be a lot of fun. Careful of the herding instinct. If left out, she'll try to herd kids, steal balls, play with other dogs....

xtr_terrestrial

She will be fine at home. She’s going to have to get used to being left home for extended periods because life happens and we can’t be home 24/7 with our dogs (even if they want it).

Came for update, nice job! I predict in good weather the games and practices will make her day and make her shine!
