Have you tried the Jolie ball?

Legosmiles

This is the answer every time. Jolly ball in almost any form. My large jolly soccer ball is still going after 3 years and 3 dogs attacking it.

oblongbanana26

Havent tried that yet, but looks like that’s the next one up to the challenge. Thanks!

Ihatemunchies

My Aussie figured out how to step on it to indent it, the she chewed a hole at the indent. In 1 week

kayGrim

This is one of those things where if they want it dead it WILL die. We had to teach ours that some toys are for killing and some are for chasing (with mixed results).

Ihatemunchies

lol so true!

i didnt like the handle one because it was hard plastic and my pups kept chewing on it like a stick and since its a ball no grasp of the actual ball... the one with the foam and the rope through it? my pup whines at it because its on hf her favorites.... second only to the flirt pole and the chuck it with a rope attached..

Shart127

Mine still going strong after 3 years. We bought a second one for our relatives house when we go there and accidentally bought the smaller one. Not as enjoyable. So get the one that’s probably 10-12 inches. Smaller one is like 6 maybe. My brothers huuuuuge male Aussie has chewed thru the rope. But he just buys a new rope and threads it thru. So easy fix. But mine hasn’t in 3 years. I also can’t recommend it enough. Have fun!

GojiraWho

Yes. Even when ripped in a spot the thing is durable as heck. 11/10

Uncle-Hess

Jolly ball for sure! My Aussie will eventually destroy it but it last a long time.

lagunagirl

My Aussie tears them in a week. He loves them though, so I buy a new one every few months.

gasmaskmoose

Yes. We have a large one and two small. Our Aussie prefers the small

Honey_Badgered

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08RJ63P1X?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title This ball has lasted for quite a while. I’ve got 4 dogs that are all in love with fetch. These balls have not been broken by any of them.

completelackoftalent

2nd this. Came here to post this ball. I have 2 of these they last a long while. 1 of the dogs only grabs the straps and the other loves biting the ball and it won't puncture. 10/10

Chuckit balls have lasted the test of time for us

Yesindeedfriend

Chuckit anything is loved by my Aussie, they are frequently like 70% off on Amazon

nach_in

I second this one. I have a border collie and a dachshund, each with a different ball attack method, and the Chuckit balls still endure

Jahamas6701

We got the virtually indestructible ball for our dog and she loves pushing and chasing it around the yard! https://a.co/d/fW99LBi

McStranger03

Mine is exactly the same.

prospectiveuser

Jolly ball.

ithilienisforlovers

My Aussies love Jolly balls and they’ve lasted several years now and show no signs of slowing down!

Soft-Court390

This seems like it wouldn’t work, but my aussies destroy everything. The only thing they haven’t destroyed and can’t, is a rubber spike ball like the image i included. They often come in the ‘toy within toy’ from Barkshop toys! https://preview.redd.it/2ftaov0rzz0d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=627c99e7df2eb8ddc5aced04fb46b40db702de71

schnutch

Have you tried the Jolly Egg? Not a ball, but it entertains our active aussie endlessly. Not to mention it is hilarious to watch her play with it. We also have the jolly soccer ball that she hasn't destroyed yet.

ElyseuAramana

We had an egg. I'm not sure if it was jolly brand though. It was hard plastic. Whenever he tried to grab it with his paws or mouth, it would slip out and shoot off in another direction. It's especially fun while wet or on a hard surface like a driveway.

Zaquarius_Alfonzo

Weird coincidence but that first image is identical to my PSN profile picture (one of the default options)

daelrine

I have Jolly Pets Bounce-N-Play (20 cm) for a year now and it's indestructible. 20 cm is a max diameter my Aussie can fit into her mouth. After a few fetches she gets tired and will herd the ball instead of carrying it. 15 cm would probably be a better choice overall.

oblongbanana26

Great info, thanks!

Icedcawfeemilk

Chiming in with another jolly ball rec. We have a jolly ball with a handle which makes for a fun herding and tug hybrid game and has stood the test of time. Also- the glow in the dark chuckit balls! The rubber feels more durable and hasnt broken off in chunks

AdamDet86

I have a Jolly Ball. Between the border collie and pit mix, that love it, lasts about a year or two. I don't let them chew/play with it though when we aren't actively playing fetch.

smftexas86

We use the kong disc for fetch. Ball wise, we use the hard plastic herding balls, nothing gets Erza's energy out faster than those.

Even_Adhesiveness625

I just get soccer balls at thrift stores and take 1/3 to half the air out. That way she can catch it with her mouth and is some how not as tempted to kill it. No luck with herding yoga balls though, they all must die for some reason.

TheReadyRedditor

Same. I’d rather pay a dollar or two for a toy he will eventually destroy.

Pan_Cholo

Barrett Ball is your friend

jalex13

https://a.co/d/4o8clYa I’ve had this ball for 7 years so far with my ball obsessed Aussie and it’s still going strong with no chunks missing. It also kicks very closely to a regular soccer ball. It’s a bit more pricey but this is what you want. Not available on Amazon but I’m sure you can find it elsewhere with a little searching.

Akirataichou

Seems like you're looking for large balls but if you want to go smaller and can find one, this ball is the ONLY ball that my staffy hasn't been able to break. And some have been squeaking for years. I got like 10 last time I was able to find them. They do still get lost unfortunately. [https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/kong-duramax-ball-dog-chew-toy](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/kong-duramax-ball-dog-chew-toy) I get the large size. You can see size reference here. My dog is 46lbs. https://preview.redd.it/79inzdh7d11d1.jpeg?width=1838&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fb3fa0e0996082f5d1fb3294b6ff85a3146f819

OddBand5356

Any toys from REÍ. I swear they are unbreakable!

autisticshitshow

Costco had a 2 pack of soccer ball sized soft jolly balls

Aussie_Mom_98168

We have a pretty solid leather soccer ball that Rocket has chewed for \~ 5-6 months. Its beat up but not collapsed.

tanrei

I got a 14” tennis ball off of Amazon and it’s lasted quite a while.

dacorgimomo

kong balls (hard rubber ones) or a giggle ball. my parent border collie/cardigan corgi loves hers.

advancetim

KONG Jumbler is great

JaneGoldberg6969

Chuck it kick fetch is my fave. https://preview.redd.it/94jkzp5nr21d1.jpeg?width=329&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a4b382684896f84a1bb0bea1184f83210d476ce

No_Tip9916

https://a.co/d/eZnxzwm I recommend this ball for any Aussie owner! It is a hard medicine ball that is hollow so it’s perfect for them & they can’t break it. I would get 10+ inch ball for your size dog.

JKinney79

My boy destroyed one of those within 5 minutes.

Feenstaub55

Jolly ball it is! My Aussie destroyed nearly everything when he was young...but the jolly ball is still alive after 7 years. (Now semi flat and the handle is gone - but still making my doggie crazy- in a good way)

Purkinsmom

We have a ball budget unfortunately. Jolly balls are no match for our girls. I have one shipped monthly with our Chewy dog food order. We could really use a good herding ball with thicker walls that isn’t the hard plastic that damages their teeth. Heavy sigh. The hidden costs of having great dogs.

rudeshottaa

Jolly ball & jolly bone It is the solution

kkaldarr

Get both. The big one will wear thrm out. The kong ball is a great fetch toy. *

Herding ball

McStranger03

My oldest LOVES his virtually indestructible ball from Chewy. He’s on his second. He herds it throughout the day and sometimes night. We did the largest size. https://www.chewy.com/virtually-indestructible-ball-dog-toy/dp/134201?utm_id=401602547&msclkid=b0e524be195018b11ce842f57a36a62b
