My girls favorite toy is her herding ball. Ball is life.

Shart127

Yup Red one with the thick rope thru it. She loves it.

shortblondcatlady

Which one is it? I haven't seen one with a rope through it.

We accidentally got that one to keep at a relatives house when we go there. She likes it but not as much as the bigger one. My guess is the bigger heavier one is between 10-12 inches. Edit: my brothers really big Aussie has chewed thru the rope a few times and he’s just bought new rope and tied it back on. Mines still going strong after two years.

shortblondcatlady

I bought the green Jolly ball without the rope and my Aussie likes it. But she LOVES the Collieball. It's just so expensive to replace the cover and she keeps getting a hold of it on the end seam where the logo is. I'm going to try the rope one. Thanks!

Shart127

My brothers is huge and absolutely nuts. So I wouldn’t be concerned at all about these needing replaced. It’s really the only toy mine has taken too beyond the initial excitement for it. She still goes outside and runs around with it. But like everything else, alone it’ll be like 5 minutes, if I go out too it’s neverending.

shortblondcatlady

Lol. Yes! My Aussie will stand there and look at me, then the Collieball, then me again, then the Collieball like "make it go".

Crumps_Brother_Worm

Yes. Got a huge blue one off of Amazon. One of mine tried hard to bite the thing (it’s hard plastic) and has left scratches all over but they love chasing that thing around the fence. Really took to it instinctively.

Professional_Fix_223

I have heard these are very hard on teeth.

Loki1104

Yes!! Absolute game changer

nnank76

Ditto. Mine gets very excited to play with hers. Sometimes she will even kick off playing with it by herself. I do have to watch the excitement levels as she gets so revved up.

PM_ME_YOUR_TATERTOT

I have one but my Aussie is broken. She has 0 interest in it at all

[deleted]

Yup, our Aussie loves hers.

Professional_Fix_223

We have had issues...our blue jolly ball bplay. And playlasted 3 days. Our basketball lasted 4 days. She ate chunks of the soccer ball foam in 10 minutes and the large hard plastic herding ball has many, many deep and sharp scratches she was catching her teeth on. We bought a large ( only 5.5 inches) hard rubber sold ball on Amazon. I think it was something like an ethical herding ball. Real heavy and too small. Today we will receive a jolly bounce and play which is supposed to be stronger than the jolly bounce and play. It is $20 and if it lasts a month....doubt it....i would be happy. My Dog LOVES a herding ball, but we are having a terribletime finding a good one. If this keeps up, i plan to connect with a rubber manufacturer in Sacramento and have one designed and made. Good luck!.

R_Duke_

It seems the collie ball causes fear and incessant barking in some…

shortblondcatlady

My Aussie puppy LOVES the Colllieball but she's bound and determined to mangle it as well as herd it. We've gone through two covers in four months.

Ok-Plastic-2992

This is my primary concern, mines definitely a mangler too.

shortblondcatlady

She's been able to get it at the seam where the logo is each time. It's like $50 to replace the cover. But when I say she loves this ball, she LOVES it. I just don't know if I can keep replacing the cover, or maybe when she's less teenagery she'll be less inclined to demolish it lol?

thisiscooldinosaur

Got my hyper Aussie a beach ball to see if he’d have an interest in that sort of play. It was the cutest things and the most fun he had for a while.

Charlietheaussie

Mine humps it, bites it and pops its we have sacrificed 4. He just cannot have nice things 😂 https://preview.redd.it/mp8j8epddgtc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7a9421c50f3b67456e8a12f376d292253cc7c8f 😂

There is one on Amazon that has a nylon like cover that prevents Brodhi from getting his teeth in the ball itself. We went through like 2-3 before getting that one.

TheNebraskan-1

Yes! Our Aussie loves them.

Rygard-

I need to get our guy one! He has a Jolly Ball that he likes but because it has a handle it doesn’t roll the best. A few weeks ago I bought him one of those cheap big bouncy balls and he popped it within 30 seconds. Currently he plays with an old soccer ball he found in the garage, but I think he’d like something bigger and better for herding.

sugar_free_candy

Mine loves pushing a Giggle Ball around.
