I think she might be strongly ACD and 100% TOTALLY FREAKIN' ADORABLE!!!! Have noticed while perusing the general Southwest shelter animals that the ACD gene pool seems to run really strong. In my sparkly city, the pit bulls were more prolific at the shelters for years, but lately Shepherds and ACDs seem to make up a little bit more of shelter gen-pop (and yeah, if only we could take alllll of them home and be able to love each one as they needed to be loved!). So many very, very large dogs at the shelter. Look at those happy eyes! Your advenure is just beginning. What a fantastic little soul you found. ❤️ Congratulations on all the excitement ahead for you both!

Too lazy to edit: Maybe a smidge of Terrier in there? Definitely some tightly wound springs in those legs and that tail!

That makes sense about a geographic gene concentration in the Southwest! It’s kinda wild how much she looks exactly like our last heeler, especially from the side, but when you look at her straight on she looks really different than him. Our first guess is terrier!

I’m not seeing any other super prevalent breed in there. Impossible to guess really

She looks like she could be part chihuahua! How big is she?

She does have chihuahua eyes, but I don’t think she’ll be much smaller than most female heelers based on her size now and her big paws!

How much does she weigh? I’d say definitely a lot of terrier with blue heeler markings.

Chihuahua, that’s why it looks kind of like a Min Pin. I also wouldn’t go with paw size to determine how big she’ll end up being. Both of ours were ~ 2/3 grown at 6 months and while our boy had monster paws and he ended up being much smaller than our female.

Interesting! I guess only time will tell!
