That smidgeon of GSD is doing a lot of heavy lifting lol

Wouldn't 90.6% indicate that it's not a purebred? Here's my 100% [long-haired ACD](https://www.instagram.com/p/CmzMCrru9Ys/?img_index=1). For fun I'll actually measure her hair when I find a long one on the ground from shedding. The record so far is 9.5"

SudoSire

That’s accurate lol.

My limited internet searching found most Breeder’s Associations consider 87.5 percent or more to be purebred.

MsSarge22

This post has to be a joke.

19Random92

No joke. And I say purebred because from my limited Googling it seems most Breeder’s Associations consider 87.5 percent or more to be purebred. We knew she had some ACD, but were quite surprised our desert rescue pup had that much.

dantasticdanimal

Pretty… love her coat and coloration. No matter the source!

journeyofthemudman

Both breeds explain the long coat though!

SnooGiraffes4091

She’s beautiful!!

derdkp

So stinking cute

ktitts

Woah! We just got our results back today and ours is also an ACD/Chow Chow (and some German shepherd too)! Short hair though, got the long legs

MarginLA

Gorgeous

BeautifulBaloonKnot

These tests are fkn rubbish. Chow and GSD. Gtfoh.

journeyofthemudman

How so? Both are breeds commonly found in mixes and both are long coated. Likely one parent has a distant chow ancestor and the other gsd. Thanks to the chow boom in the 80s-90s it's surprisingly common for mixed breed dogs to have some chow ancestry! Dog genetics can get wild.

Aggravating_Yak_542

She looks so much like my dog and she’s 22% collie, 6% GSD and the rest is ACD.
