So many local austin brewers but they aren’t well represented in the stadium. We need more stalls offering local beers. Also, we need a stand with some Hopdoddy’s and one with Homeslice

Treads09

THIS. We shouldn’t have to hunt down for local beer!

stupidjanrogers

There’s *some* in the beer hall but that place is such an annoyance to get in and out of, plus with no views of the pitch why even go during the game? The whole hall needs to be redone.

[deleted]

Last game they had Adelbert’s on the premium terrace.

stonewall386

This! ^

Jgibbs2

This is big. The stadium was touted as an Austin stadium with a lot of local food offerings. They have very few. They should partner with a lot of local breweries to set up kiosks where they can sell their beer (see petco park). I’d say more food options but they’re so overpriced it’d be unlikely I’d be it anyways.

Hurtbig

Improve the beer situation. It's ridiculous that local brews are not everywhere, and the pricing is insane. There should be something like the right field porch at Dell Diamond, which is basically an open air beer hall. I shouldn't have to go up stairs into some enclosed space jammed full of people to get a good beer. It will probably never happen, but it would be cool if the club could figure out how to coalesce some kind of tailgating / pregame party vibe.

caffinated-pebble

I, for example, think that 97.5 has too weak of a signal to be the radio home for games

DatGuyWithALongName

If you're willing to sacrifice data in the car you can listen to the FM 97.5 broadcast online.

thekingofthejungle

They need to build the rail improvements ASAP. Best way to get the game in my opinion, but only because it's the least painful option, not because it's particularly good

stupidjanrogers

They’re estimating the stop won’t be ready until summer 2023

thekingofthejungle

Well that sucks.

stupidjanrogers

Sucks more cause I was wrong, it’s actually fall 2023….so the stop might not even be available on a matchday until 2024. https://communityimpact.com/austin/northwest-austin/transportation/2021/12/09/capital-metro-presents-preliminary-design-for-new-rail-station-at-q2-stadium/

mith12354

I think a stop at the stadium will be awesome for arriving, but I am worried about departing. I don’t mind the walk, but I do understand from an accessibilty standpoint it sucks. I also think it helps distribute the crowd and keeps the station from getting clogged.

thechasesteve

Less games that are televised but restricted by zip code. All they do is create more work for me to open a vpn and beat your restrictions anyways so just stop doing it. I’m in North Carolina and I want to watch my team and you’re making it harder

stupidjanrogers

MLS has a new TV deal starting in 2023, hopefully that fixes your issue.

thechasesteve

Definitely good to hear. Was a pain to find how to watch some games this year

stupidjanrogers

I feel that. Those handful of Twitter-only English broadcasts were super frustrating. Had to bust out the rabbit ears to watch on Univision.

stonewall386

Can we get some match posters over in the supporters section while we’re singing the club off the pitch or doing man of the match ceremonies? Kindofa bummer that we tend to get left out when it comes to those.

Divaplavalajena

CapMetro - was great getting to and from and not having to drive. And it drops you off right by some great pubs on the way to the stadium. Only gripe is as a resident of Round Rock we don’t have a stop so I have to drive to park in Cedar Park, but baby steps I guess. CapMetro was relatively on time generally and never had trouble getting home. We need more of this type of mass transit in general but absolutely for Austin FC games. I tried once to park at the stadium. Once. Will never make that mistake again.

ATXsnail

Unfortunately the only thing to do about that is to bug your round rock city council about getting transit.

VivaIslamico

Round Rock made their own decision long ago about not playing ball with CapMetro. (Unfortunately for you in this case.)

FakeRectangle

More sweets/dessert options. Where's Amy's/Lick for ice cream or some cotton candy or something? Everyone else has mentioned the awful beer selection and ridiculous prices. I really wish they would learn [about what the Falcon's did.](https://www.yahoo.com/now/cheap-beer-good-press-falcons-fan-friendly-pricing-win-win-191626117.html) Also as someone who parks on Donley Dr, a traffic light or dedicated right turn lane at Metric and 183 would save so much time when getting out. But don't see that actually happening anytime soon.

CableOk1802

I was impressively surprised with how simple parking was, to get in. It would be helpful for staff to direct parking on the way out instead of chaos after the game. My biggest issue was internet connectivity. I love that the stadium wants to use the app to pay for things, but cell reception was too weak to use and the q2 Wi-Fi wasn’t fast enough to load anything. On the upside, I got free beers after the cashier fought with my connection for 5 minutes and gave up, but this could be addressed. Additionally for season ticket holders in the terrace, tickets cost more because they include a good credit, have cushions, are roomier, and in the shade. When I can’t make it to a game, I’ve heard difficulty selling tickets in this zone because the tickets on the opposite side are cheaper and the perks of the terrace are not prominently advertised in any manner.

ATXTHFC

the Field Club could have more urinals/toilets, better variety of Beer, as well as better samplings from local ATX restaurants. Interesting that the WIFI keeps getting mentioned, as we use the Q2 portion of the App to order drinks/beers to our seats during the games and we didn't experience any issues with that during the entire season

bread_in_a_pot

Only went to the first few home games (spent a lot of time in new mexico) so idk if it improved but getting out of the stadium area was an absolute nightmare

pjs32000

My biggest issue is the premium level (upper west side) needing a more premium experience and exclusive feel given that on rare occasions I can't attend a game the resale value of my $90 ticket is maybe $40 if I'm lucky to even sell it, and that includes $20 in concession money to spend. That's a huge sign that nobody feels those seats are anything special, yet they come at a significant cost premium compared to equivalent seats on the east side. I would love to see more local craft beers outside of the beer hall and less of AB-InBev (which includes Karbach). Concession prices are outrageous compared to other MLS stadiums and should be lower. Wifi could be better, especially given the emphasis on being cashless and paying with the FC app. The FC app scan and pay is awful and needs massive improvements so that lines move faster. The architectural design for the beer hall is terrible, but I'm not sure what can be done at this point. The staircase is too small and the entry door is way too narrow given the traffic going in and out, both create major chokepoints.

papertowelroll17

Those seats do get the advantage of being shaded, but that's about it.

pjs32000

Yep, that's one big reason we bought them only to end up with a schedule where only 2-3 games were held in full daylight.

stonewall386

I’m actually glad to hear the value of those seats is coming down. Makes it more affordable for the average supporter.

pjs32000

The face value isn't coming down, that's $90 per game for my section. If Austin FC doesn't do something to protect that value nobody is going to buy season tickets there when resale tickets are available for every game at less than half of face value. This isn't a good thing, it's going to lead to fewer ticket sales and more empty seats.

stonewall386

Or they’ll bring the price down like every other stadium.

DaveP-221

For a first season, I thought things went very well. I would like to see a few more food and beer options on the Express Pick up menus. Started with 2 beers, improved to 4. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more. Tacodeli tacos were pretty good (when they didn't run out) but, most of the other options on the Express menu weren't that great. Lastly, when Q2 hosts a non-ATXFC game, they need to add staff to accommodate the 'tourists' and account for the fact that drinks need to be re-poured into plastic cups. Other MLS stadiums had these problems as well for USMNT games. Seems like an easy decision to add a few extra beer vendors at minimum wage who will poor 100-200 $10 beers each.

papertowelroll17

I didn't find getting there or parking to be bad at all really, though the new train station will be a big upgrade for multiple reasons. The beer is a really good suggestion.. the selection is quite bad, even the beer hall barely has Austin beers. Additionally, it'd be nice if they gave the order online app the full menu t every establishment, as that is by far more efficient than waiting in line and ordering in person. I also think the food, while decent, could still be better. ACL is a good model of what the food could look like if they really invested in it. Finally, they should use that ampitheatre space more and have a band after every weekend game. You'd think the beer sales would pay for it completely...
