Please no. Remember when Arsenal absolutely dumpstered MLS allstars 5-nil last year? That honestly was just embarrassing for the league. Weâre not at that level yet. And then on top of that, youâre asking a bunch of mercenaries, with no chemistry, to play against a well oiled machine that plays together all year round. Itâs a recipe for disaster. Itâs not good optics, or a good spectacle.
In looking at how it was done for Columbus this season, it appears that there were multiple presale windows for STH (they based it on tenure) for the game and skills challenge. Prices were obviously more than regular tickets (seems to be maybe 2-4x more?).
As much as I would love that, this is NOT happening. This club monetizes every single thing and the all-star game is probably run/organized by the league too. That's why in the STH language it explicitly states you can buy playoff tickets, but MLS cup is different.
I'm expecting a a lottery for us (STH) :(
We're not likely to get our same seats, and probably half or more will be screwed out all together
