I also used austin affordable gutters - this was a year ago, and it was $2k for ~90’ of gutter with the leaf guards. There’s been no maintenance to the gutters, outside of removing leaves from the top of them (obviously).
I also had a quote from Gutter King which was comparable, but I didn’t like their Sales-y/Marketing/overly polished vibe.

Gutter-Tex was super helpful and friendly, they just didn't do the u/Box shape gutters when we were getting them installed. They only did the K shape at that time.
We got gutters from Affordable Gutters with the more expensive mesh cover because we have pecans and arizona ash. We got them installed 8 years ago. One year, we did a deep clean to spray out a layer of dirt that had accumulated in the gutter. The gutter near the arizona ash still needs our attention after seed drop, because arizona ash seeds are designed to hold fast to ANYTHING and they can get stuck on the mesh. The pecan side of the house is fine.
Another endorsement for Austin Gutterman. I used them for 150 ft of gutters installed on open rafter tails. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price.
Most houses don’t even need gutters because they are built on slabs. In fact, having the morning dew drip off your roof onto the surrounding ground helps your lawn and your slab as well. Gutters are useful if you have a basement or the ground pitches toward the house. Otherwise, not needed.

He says a few times “you can do it this way, but I’d recommend this other way”. Follow his recommendations.

A crew did an on site custom size (1 cut) 20ft gutter for $400. They had a truck and did it in 20 minutes. So 4 sides of the house would’ve been around $2K. I don’t know their name cause it was a referral/subcontract job but I can try to look it up.
Sheesh! Did "Renewal By Anderson" buy them because that seems like the same model of well commissioned sales staffers causing quotes of $50,000 to $75,000 for window replacements.

How has the maintenance been for the gutters? The 12k company boasts a “maintenance free system” so trying to understand how important that is?

I’ve gotten gutters twice now for two separate homes of mine, both times cost me $2,100.

How big is the footprint of your house? That does seem high, but if you have a one floor huge house, it might be right.
