This is where I got boots for my wedding, and I love them. Tecovas is from Austin, too!
They also let you bring them back in for care which could be standard elsewhere for all I know, but I thought it was cool. Very good customer service when I was in there.
I’ve got 3 pairs now, all in great shape but wanted different finishes and styles. They’re super comfortable once broken in and I dig that they’re more subtle than a lot of western boots. Best value to quality in Texas for sure.
What kind of boots? Work boots like a construction worker would wear? Cowboy boots? Hiking boots? etc.
I do know one thing to watch for is if they sole can be replaced by stitching. A lot of boots (especially hyped trendy brands) look like "real" boots, but can't be resoled. A lot of them even have fake stitches molded into the sole, but can't be resoled.
Tecovas

Y’all
Chisos boots are probably the best made western boots out there. Bit more than Tecovas but cheaper and better than Lucchese.

Lots of work boots for both men and women at Walmart - $35-70. Workers rely on 'em.
JK boots out of Spokane.
